Rate this book
Are you overwhelmed with a never-ending parade of choices? Still can’t catch the moment when it is time to decide, and what to decide? Still waiting for the problem to “solve itself”.

No one is born with the ability to make awesome decisions all the time, or with amazing problem-solving abilities. They’re skills – not natural talents. The good news is that skills can be learned and adopted into our lives.

The choices you make now in your teenage years are the building blocks on your path to maturity. In adulthood, each day brings new challenges, new problems that need to be solved, and new decisions that need to be made. So how can you ensure now that you’re making the right steps to prepare yourself for the future?

Decide and Solve will help you to face your choices head-on, and make decisions with confidence. Inside, you will discover:

The difference between decision-making and problem-solving – and the psychology behind them.
The process of decision-making and problem-solving – and how to put it to use.
How to ensure your decisions today will reflect positively on your future.
How to keep an open mind and be bold when it's needed.
How decision-making and problem-solving skills are connected to self-confidence, happiness and success.

You will come to understand why the adolescent brain approaches decisions differently from adults.

You will be empowered to deal with outside pressure to ensure your decisions are your own, and not based on someone else’s words or actions.

You will know what to do when your family and friends don’t support the choices you make.

Are you ready to make the best decision of your life?

Note for adults:

If you are looking for advice to help your fast-growing kid to be more confident and independent, this easy-to-read and down-to-earth guide for teens and young adults contains many ideas. It is a life instruction manual for making rational choices. As a parent, you will also find this an interesting read, helping you to grasp decision-making for teenagers, and also to assist in your own problem-solving.

This is a very clearly written book for teens and their challenges. A book that can potentially be worked through together with the parent. The conversations that arise will be fruitful and helpful for the journey of the child through life. Recommend!

The fact that an average human being makes about 35,000 decisions daily makes this subject as important as life.

How do we know whether we are making the right or the wrong decision?

Stephany K. Thomann unveiled the answer to the decision-making and problem-solving process with a solid scientifically-based premised on the brain formation, development and its dynamism.

It's a book loaded with a 'per second' staple for a resource-based rational life since we make an average of one decision every two seconds.

I like her pragmatic approach to life's choices. If I was an adolescent, I wouldn't struggle with peer pressure, addiction and restiveness, and as an adult nestled with my personal transformation from the book, I've got so much wisdom to assist the upcoming generation in the thematics of the book.

I recommend this book for teens as well as adults owing to its vast knowledge repertoire, simplicity, scientifically proven lessons; the impact of decision making in our daily life and most especially, how relevant the subject is in the contemporary age when making choices faces stiff competition from humans and technology, consciously and unconsciously.

You want the key to make the best decision that will lead you to living in your full potential? find it inside DECIDE AND SOLVE. Remember;
"Every decision you make creates a new scenario in your life!" - Stephany K. Thomann.

This book just impacted me a lot and I know it will transform your life.

Calm and empty your mind as you lie on the couch and undergo analysis

I worked in a discipline that involved mindful analysis of decisionmaking, but this book's 190 pages walks us through many dimensions of deciding, choosing, planning, resolving, sorting and left me feeling as if I'd been remiss in not weighing this author's considerations more seriously. I did NOT see much analysis of my (analysand's) strategies for sorting out patterns of advice-giving from those whom I might consult (upon the author's recommendation), and at times the reading may feel like advice is shared with younger, less experienced persons willing to receive advice. But that is what the book's subtitle promises. But IMO the advice is thoughtful for those who can calm and empty their minds.

Where was this when I was a kid

I wish I would have had a book like this when I was a young whippersnapper. There is a lot good information in this book that can help teens and adult when facing challenges and difficult decisions. I recommend picking up this book and giving it to your kids if you have teens

Pretty Good Resource

I don’t have any teen kids yet, but I was a teen once (believe it or not). This book is a pretty good resource, and I wish I’d read more like this in my teen years. If you’re a Christian parent, I’d read this before your kid do to some of the worldly views. But I still think this book has some great gems!
