A great read and I can totally relate to the coffee loose. When a blog upsets the cafe owner, she and Faith are charged with finding the writer of the blog. To ensure they follow through they are limited to the coffee they can have. The search leads her to a secluded house where the owner has just discovered a dead body. The search for clues deepens. Why was the new owner named as a beneficiary? Why did the dead man want to work there? The deeper they look the more secrets they unravel. Will the final answer explain why and who? Also will it explain why there was no funds for the upkeep of the property? A good plot, nice twists and turns even if the "baddie" was obvious. Great characters and loved the caffeine deprived reaction of the two women.
Faith and Abbey are having coffee withdrawls. Abbey has to find the Eden blogger before she can come back to the cafe. Then there is a murder. Good to the last drop, I mean page lol.
Abbey is on the case having been barred from Joyce's coffee shop until she tracks down the "Eden Bloggess" who's blogs have sent Joyce's blood boiling. Whilst tracking down the reclusive Kinsley, her main suspect, Abbey stumbles into another murder scene band ends up looking after Kinsley as the investigation continues. Who did leave Kinsley a huge decrepit mansion house but no money? Who was the victim Sam Peter's and how is he connected to Kinsley? Who would be set to gain from Kinsley's demise? Will Abbey finally track down the blogger and restore her coffee supply?
Joyce is still fired up and ready to go off with a bang if Abbey doesn't find the blogger but Abbey is rather too busy hiding Kinsley and the case from her. Tracking down the culprit is going to need everyone on board, Joshua, Faith and Doyle doing their best to keep up with Abbey's potentially overactive imagination. Will Abbey finally get the scoop before the whole town realises what is going on?
Fewer errors, which is a relief after the last novel in the series. Still convincingly set in small town Australia with the quirky, welcoming locals.
Joyce Breeland, the owner of the local café, and the maker of the best coffee in the area has given Abby Maguire an ultimatum. Find the blogger who is damaging her reputation, or be banned from her establishment forever. While trying to track down the blogger, Abby finds another body. This leads to an eventual friendship with an unusual person, and a lost inheritance worth a fortune for another new friend.
This one is the best of this series so far. Developed characters, humor, a bit of suspense, and a dog.
This is a clean read with no profanity or explicit situations.
Joyce, the cafe owner, and coffee goddess, is on a tear. Joyce, threatens both Abby and Faith, that if they don't find out the identity of the Eden blogger, then they both will be blacklisted for life from her cafe and from her coffee. Abby starts her search and all goes well until she finds her next dead body. How can you function without coffee? Read and enjoy!
In this third book in the Dear Abby cozy mystery series, reporter Abby Maguire needs to solve a murder and discover the identity of the Eden Bloggess or popular cafe owner Joyce Breeland will cut off her coffee supply. That, of course, would be a fate worse than death! Kinsley Roberts' involvement comes from inheriting a crumbling home and a carousel. This is another fun addition to the series and I enjoyed it.
This series of cozy mysteries set in a small town in Australia are very entertaining and funny! Abby is always in hot water with someone in town and also keeps stumbling over bodies. The fun occurs while she searches for the murderer and involves friends and her dog, Doyle. Relaxing, enjoyable read!
I enjoyed the Deer Abby books. They are funny and lighthearted cozy mysteries. The protagonist is endearing, and the other characters are quirky and engaging. I appreciated that the plots of the series did not follow the cozy mystery norm. There are moments in each book that I laughed out loud. I look forward to new books in this series.
Another great read from Sonia Parin. This story was easy to read, engaging characters and a good plot but nothing too complicated. The quirky townsfolk are great, love Joyce in the cafe and the brothers at the pub. Faith is a fun sidekick to Abby. Going to start book four next.
