Another great read by one of my favourite contemporary romance authors. I usually read Sharon's books within a few days and Resisting Chase was no exception! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and enjoyed every bit of this slow burn, hot, and sweet love story. The main characters are Ben, the football quarterback and Natasha, the team physician. They are quite opposite in many ways but have similarities which keep drawing them back to one another. I enjoyed the banter between the two of them, their hot romantic dates, and their journey to a sizzling and sweet HEA. ❤️

This book and I just didn’t meld well. And that’s on me. But instead of focusing on that, I wanna talk about the things that I did enjoy! Ben has a strong family unit, and his friends are fantastic. And I loved every moment with them! Ben is the knight in shining armor, and Natasha is the damsel bent over the front of her car. Just when he thought she was gone forever, she pops up again as the new team physician. Ben is focused on playing to win, but when an injury takes him off the field, his focus shifts to Tash. She does her best to ignore him, but it’s obvious she doesn’t actually want to. She was just as affected by him as he was by her. And that’s definitely something I enjoyed! Tash turns Ben’s brain to jelly, and it’s adorable! It’s obvious how interested Ben is, and he never hesitates to reiterate it. Unfortunately, I have to mention the things that I didn’t like. Tash is her mom’s full time caretaker, and between that and work, she has no time for herself. And she’s just accepted that, and can’t understand why no one else has. I didn’t like anything that involved her mom (except her mother herself, I adored her!). I wasn’t a fan of the way she talks about men or relationships, especially using her friend’s as an example. It broke my heart to see Ben always give 100%, and never getting enough in return. I cheered on his friend when he gave him the “if you love someone set them free speech”. She wasn’t ready for a relationship, and he knew he deserved more. He wouldn’t settle for less, no matter what he lost. And I loved that about him! When she finally begged him to stay, he instantly made her a priority, and I wasn’t a fan of that. I wanted to give this one four stars, but because of how much I disliked Natasha, I gotta stick with the three stars. I don’t know that I’ve ever considered DNFing at 90%?!

Natasha and Ben are so cute! Ben is the cool, cocky footballer that wants his chance at the new team Doctor. Natasha is the sexy new Doctor that has everyone drooling. With one thing on her mind, even though she gets weak at the knees from the sight of Ben, her future is everything and no man will ever derail it.
When lingering looks and flirty touches are too much for each other, things quickly take a turn and the heat comes in hot. When they finally get what they have both been craving out of each other's system, they realize they need more. Ben knows that Tash is the one and is determined to make her his forever.
"The doctor in me wants to yell at him for not elevating his leg, but the whore in me wants his tongue to keep going."
With realization that Tash also wants more, she can't truly give Ben everything he wants. She has a past that has made her believe she can never rely on a man. They all cheat or leave eventually.
"Underneath that hard exterior is this sweet, soft woman who loves her mother unconditionally, and if she can give up her life for her family, that woman is worth walking across fire for."
After lots of push and pull, Ben decides his future is ready to move on, even if she isn't in it. Will she ever realize that they belong together? Will Ben's future really continue on if Tash isn't a part of it? Can he ever really be happy?
- This story was super cute. The insta-lust was hot, and I enjoyed the storyline. I definitely wanted a more detailed epilogue, but the author still ended it perfectly.

A Sports Theme LOVE Story
I loved Benjamin! He’s an aging quarterback for the Chicago Eels football team. Ben is completely focused on helping his team win games so they qualify to play in the super bowl. This is probably his last year and his end game is winning the super bowl. Football is in his blood. Ben’s dad also played in the NFL and now actually works on the team as the offensive coordinator. Ben is very close to his loving family.
The team has hired a new Doctor to assist the John, older team Doctor. John has a major problem working with a woman, who shouldn’t be in the locker room or enticing the players? John has it in for Dr. Natasha Blackwood. Natasha has put years into learning sports med. She wants and needs this job.
When Ben first sees Natasha sparks fly. As Ben gets to know her he feels in his heart she is his one. Natasha is very attracted to Ben but is very reserved. Natasha brings a-lot-of-angst to this story. She has a lot of trust issues: Her father abandons her and her mom which makes her mom work doubly hard to raise Natasha. Then, while working a waitress job her mom has an accident that virtually cripples her which leaves Natasha as her caretaker. Adding to these issues, the team Doctor completely disrespects her.
Ben knows that he wants Natasha, and goes overboard to win her love which scares Natasha off. She has feelings for him and in the end she realizes Ben is her one. He gets that perfect opportunity when an injury causes them to work together to get him back to 100%.

The blurb of this one drew me in and I needed to read it. I really liked Ben a lot. He is prime book boyfriend material. Now Natasha I was not a fan of the hot and cold with Ben, but I totally got why. Sometimes things that happen to us in our younger years leave a lasting impact on us as adults. I know where she coming from because my dad leaving my mom left a scar on me and my views on relationships as well. Though you can easily see Ben is a special guy who knows how special the right woman is just from watching his parents beautiful marriage. I loved the way Ben treats Natasha's mom. Ben has a real good head on his shoulders. Natasha feels like she can only rely on herself, but along the way in this one she learns she can rely on those closet to her. She doesn't have shoulder everything on her own. I loved the epilogue. The journey these two took they so deserved an ending like that.

i honestly don't know where to start! this book dragged me right out of my reading slump and put me thought a million and one emotions! i found myself giggling along to every joke Ben made, and kicking my feet in the air like a little kid every time Ben made a pass at Nat 🤣 i also had LITERAL TEARS in my eyes at one part (no spoilers tho, lol)🩷 so to say this book put me through the ringer is an understatement!
now lets talk about our mc Natasha, she is me & i am her!!! i love how much depth was put into her character; from the immense amount of love she shows her mum to her all too relatable past, it was just way too easy to fall in love with her. (move over Ben, IM TAKING HER!!!!)
also can we please talk also about the sexual TENSION because??!!!, no words just 🥵😮💨. AND lets not forget all the slow burn 'will they? won't they?' tension?! 10/10 😚🤌 perfection.
overall this book was a journey! and one i throughly enjoyed! defs recommend 🤍

Sharon has become one of my go to authors so I was so excited when this popped up on my kindle and she didn’t disappoint!
I really enjoyed this book was the perfect workplace romance.
Ben is the star player of a football team that Natasha has just landed a job with as a doctor. The chemistry between the two was hot from the start.
Benjamin Chase was so forward and cheeky at the start but as we got to know him more and how much patience he has with Natasha, you fall in love with him. I could relate to Natasha so much, she has walls of steal up around her heart and doesn’t depend on anyone due to her father’s absence. When she has to decide to either bring her walls down or lose Ben forever, was beautifully written and emotional, I felt her struggle. This book was cute, funny and very steamy 🥵

Benjamin Chase is a cocky arrogant Quarterback and Natasha Blackwood is the new team doctor.
This is a show burn, insta lust, romantic read. I love the sexual tension, chemistry and banter between Ben and Natasha.
It's very much like cat and mouse, will the cat get the mouse?
Even though Ben is cocky, arrogant and possessive he is all squishy in the middle and is very protective. I love him.
Natasha is a strong woman trying to cement get place in a man's world and avoid getting tangled up between business and pleasure.
Though the pace was a little slow for me it was an enjoyable romantic steamy read.

The title speaks volumes and I love how well it fits the story. Benjamin and Natasha have two things in common, their love for family and football. He is a sports player and she is the new physician for the team, sparks are bound to fly. He falls first and pursues her but the plot needs to be twisted as nothing comes easy in love and that’s where all the fun is. I adore the communication between them, it’s something I looked forward to while reading the book. The chemistry is undeniably cutest and if you are up for a sweet read with little heartbreak and a stubborn heroine (Tash has reasons to be stubborn) then this one’s for you.

It's one big heart breaker to be loved and enjoyed.

Benjamin loves his job he a hot shot in the Chicago Eels he loves what he does he live s his job but one day everything changes when he meets the new doctor for the team. Natasha likes what she sees. There is a lot of chemistry. Between them but Natasha will not commit she does not trust men and she won't leave her mum as she her carer her mum fells guilty Benjamin is falling for her hard. but then she has to make a decision will she be with him or let him go another brilliant read from this author a so recommend this series

Ms. Woods, you gave me another fantastic book in this series. I have loved each couple but this was my favorite. Benjamin was the perfect book boyfriend he was kind, loving, and just a total sweetheart. Natasha was the best friend you wish you could have. Her unconditional love was beautiful to read about. I loved reading about the push and pull between Ben and Natasha. The angst was the perfect amount. Yes, another great book in this series.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I met her at RARE and purchased this book as I love anything sports related.
Ben is a football player and only has a short time left to achieve his dream of winning a Superbowl, Natasha works as a physician for the team, but has relationship doubts due to father issues.
This was a slow burn with lots of steam and spice throughout the book and I would gladly read this author again.

Well this took me a while to read, only because it felt like the same as the previous books in the series and I was worried it wouldn’t hold my interest.
Nice story about Ben, and Natasha again continuing the series about this group of friends.
Nice story, and plot, good writing. Some angst, but mostly a slow burn and when they gave in what a fire it was. Steamy love scenes, cute banter and overall a nice read.

Nothing and no one will stop me...Except maybe Natasha.” I was in the mood for a football romance and got so much more! Between Natasha and Ben’s flirting, Natasha being her mother’s caregiver and afraid of falling in love, and the steamy scenes between Natasha and Ben, this book was a short and enjoyable read!

Ben was a sweet main character and totally lovable . I liked Natasha until probably halfway through the book . Then her personality and over the top need to be the only one to care for her mom became too much for me. Considering she’s a doctor it was hard to accept that she was so blinded by her position. Even her mom tried to reason with her to create time for herself. I would’ve been fine if she had missed her HEA .

This was my first book by this author and the blurb really intrigued me. I’m glad I took a chance as this was a sweet well written story which totally captivated my attention.
Ben and Natasha are both really likeable characters. I loved Natasha, she’s strong and has to work hard to overcome stereotypes to excel at her job. Whereas Ben is likeable and reliable and totally wish she needs to balance her. I loved their banter and despite their differences they had a lot in common. I love the slow burn nature of their relationship too, made it believable and incredibly romantic.
If you enjoy sports romance with plenty of banter, opposites attract, he falls first tropes you’ll love this

Natasha and Ben have great chemistry and lots of sexual tension between them which results in some sizzling action. The story is a bit of a slow burn but with plenty going on to keep you entertained.

I really liked Ben. He fell so hard so fast for Natasha. He was arrogant, but I found it funny because under the athlete, there was really a kind, caring man. I had a hard time with Natasha. I know she was trying to take care of her mom and has trust issues with men, but she still drove me a little crazy. I honestly wanted to yell at her so many times to just give Ben a try.
I liked this book and thought it was cute. If you enjoy insta love stories that are cute then you should give this a try. I just wanted more in some ways.
