I didn't know he was a billionaire and a single dad the night he was stranded with me and only one bed.
Marc has been in my bar a few times before. We often exchanged a few words, but this time was different. His flight was delayed and then canceled, so I joined him for a drink after closing and got to know him… really well.
As good as he looked in suits, nothing prepared me for Marc without one. Or the way he held me afterwards, despite me telling him I never do that.
Whatever. What's one night of rule breaking? I'd never see him again anyway.
Except, when I finally land a prestigious architecture trainee position in New York, I find myself on his doorstep.
Marc's full of surprises.
He never mentioned he had a daughter.
This is a complication I don't know if I'm ready for. It was supposed to be one night of harmless fun, but now he won't let me go.
And I don't know if I want him to.
The Christmas Agreement is a full-length steamy dual POV standalone romance, featuring a hot single dad billionaire and a sassy yet fun loving heroine.
Sharon Woods writes spicy, feel-good contemporary romance novels. Based in Melbourne, Australia, with her husband and two children. She drinks a lot of coffee, loves to workout, explore new places, and has an unhealthy addiction to reality TV.
Having read Ms.Woods's work before i've been wanting to pick up more of her books! This one caught my eye right away and i immediately started looking forward to it! I picked it up and got so into this story. I so enjoyed it!
Gracie and Marco's journey captured my attention right from the very get go! Marc comes in from time to time to the bar where Gracie works. When one night, Marco is trying to head home when his flight gets cancelled which leads him back to Gracie. Will they take a chance on their attraction? And if so, what happens when their paths cross again?
I really liked the way the ball got rolling from the start and Gracie and Marc both pulled me in. Their interactions were so great and the chemistry between these two was undeniable. I didn't know how they'd tackle their feelings, truths, and being brought closer together. These two had me feeling many things! I was glad that i got to dig more with these two!
With The Christmas Agreement, Ms.Woods has created such a good read that will capture your attention quickly! I am so looking forward to more from this author!

I'm really into Christmas stories this year, which is really a small miracle since I'm a total scrooge (there are real reasons for that). Gracie has been working her way through college as a bartender, and when she's asked to work on Christmas Eve, she agrees because she's that type of girl. Marco is a very wealthy single father, and he's drawn to Gracie since he's in her neck of the woods quite a bit, and on Christmas Eve, he ends up stuck in Chicago after some business, so at this point, he makes his move. They spend a delightfully hot time together, and it's quickly apparent that this brief time in their lives is not enough so he actually leaves his info for her. Fate is definitely involved as Gracie ends up in his neck of the woods for a new job in her field, so they come face to face again, and the sparks are still flying like crazy. Marco is a great father, and a sex god in bed, so the whole package. I don't want to say anything else about this story, as it's more fun to just experience all the sexy goodness wrapped up in some Christmas magic so now it's your turn. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
4.5 stars ⭐️ - since reading about gracie in 'bossy mr. ward' i've been obsessed with her character! i could tell that she was a sweet yet independent soul and i NEEDED her story to be told! and was i in for a treat 😮💨🫶 - this book introduces us to so many new characters including marco, our sexy love interest!! did i mention he was a single dad & a billionaire?! 😍 - when our mc's first meet gracie is working the christmas eve shift at a small bar in chicago, whist marco is desperately trying to find a flight back home to new york for christmas. to much dismay marco is unable to find a flight but he does catch the eyes of gracie. whats one night of fun? i mean they won't see each other again? or will they? 👀 - this book left me in all the feels! marc is the sweetest/most caring man ever!! (also marc knows how to make a woman feel good 😮💨👀 lmao). i also loved all of gracies interactions with aria and how kindhearted she was towards her 🫶 this book was also the perfect mix of swoon worthy moments and raw emotions! (spoiler warning!!!) also seeing ava pregnant sent me into a the biggest ball of excitement 😭😭 i love her so much - definitely recommending this one to everyone i know!!!! 🤍 - *arc kindly provided*
I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a standalone book by this author. It is very loosely connected to the authors book, Bossy Mr. Ward, because the female lead, Gracie, is a best friend to the character in the that story, Ava and she has phone calls with Ava a lot in this book.
It's a one-night stand/fling romance with a much older guy between bartender and student Gracie and Marc who is a single dad to his 13-year-old daughter. He is 38 in this book, and we learn Gracie is 26.
When Marc meets Gracie, he is in Chicago on business. When a snowstorm grounds his holiday plans of going home, he has a fun weekend with Gracie. He wants more but Gracie doesn't contact him again... until
And thats when the book gets interesting, and I am not going to spoil your fun.
This book was a really awesome second chance romance between two characters who feel this very strong pull to each other. They have several hurdles they have to face as they decide whether they can be more to each other. There is very little drama or angst in this book, and I really loved seeing that in this book.
What a beautiful romantic story. Gracie is working her way through college as a bartender. She has this handsome customer stop in occasionally and when he does they can’t keep their eyes off each other. Well, this Christmas Eve their attraction goes further. Every time Marc (Marco) is in Chicago he has to stop in to watch this beautiful lady who is so fascinating. Tonight is different…his flight has been canceled… there are no hotel rooms and he just wants more time with Gracie. Ready to graduate and move on she knows this will be the last time she sees this gorgeous guy who has held her interest for so long. Why not share the night with him? Their night is pure magic. Marc is a sex God! They both feel the connection and Marc leaves her with his contact info. Gracie’s new job is with an Architectural company in New York…where Marc lives. In fact, Marc is also an Architect who owns his own firm. They make a wonderful couple. There is some angst when Marc’s 13-year-old daughter finds they are a couple but in the end, it all ends perfectly. I LOVE MARC! He is such a caring giving loving man and a great father. Gracie is a lovely lady who overcame an awful childhood and now she deserves this perfect new life. I received a free advanced copy of this story from Bookfunnel and am happy to leave my review. Marc ends up in a bar on Christmas Eve, while waiting for his flight, that first is delayed and eventually canceled. Gracie works as a bartender and she finds him fascinating. When both of them find the courage to talk, more than just about his order to drink, they end up spending the night together. A few weeks later, she seeks him out in New York, but then thinks he has llied to her about not being married. When fate brings them together again at their job, they can clear the air, but Gracie still has doubts. For Marc, everything is crystal clear, he wants her. But can she be a stepmother to a teenage girl when she is only 26?
I love Christmas books, those stories have something magical about them. I love how Marc isn’t affected by the age gap, but knows what he wants. He was always all work, but he will not make that same mistake again. When they finally do come together, Gracie still needs to overcome the problems from her own childhood, but together, they will make it.
I am big fan of this author and very much enjoyed this story, Gracie is a very kindhearted person life has not been good for her, but she is trying to reach her dream. she is talking to her best friend Ava on the phone when she sees Sandra is trying to call her. Sandra wants her to work and its Christmas eve the bar is busy she says yes and in walks Marco who she has seen in there a few times there is an attraction. Marco has a problem he can't get back from Chicago to is home New York. Gracie offers him a drink when bar closes, and they play truth or dare the sparks between them are so hot and he offers her one night she says yes. but when Marco gets back to New York he can't stop thinking about her and Gracie starts texting him. And she has a big Suprise for him she has got an apprenticeship in New York, but can they make it not saying no more but so good .
Marc is stranded in Chicago on Christmas Eve and is trying to get home to NYC to his kid and ex wife for Christmas lunch. He is stuck in a bar and the the beautiful bartender there helping him out. Gracie thinks Marc is super attractive. When the bar shuts down things heat up with them. They both admit that they are attracted to one another. Christmas morning he leaves and things are forgotten, till she gets an internship in NYC and its working along side of him. What happens when Gracie finds out he has a teenager? How does his kid come into play with their relationship? What happens when you figure out this is the best person you could ever want?
This book was cute. I wish there was more Christmas and not just the start of the book. I really did like Marc and Gracie they were very cute and had great chemistry. I thought it was a fun ride of a book.
In the book, The Christmas Agreement Gracie is working as a bartender in a bar when Marco comes in to get a drink before he flies back home to NY. Although this is not his first time stopping in this bar. This is the first time he has spent time talking to Gracie. Gracie and Marco have a very steamy, sexy playful night together. Marco leaves the next day but leaves his address and cell phone number. Gracie and Marco spend the next few weeks texting back and forth. Unbeknownst to Marco , Gracie has a traineeship in NY at an architectural design company and Marco owns one. Will these two find true love together? This was a fast paced great story. The characters were great, very realistic and interesting.
Gracie is working her way through college as a bartender. She has one customer who has been coming in for a while now and she cant help her attraction to him. So when Christmas Eve comes around and his flight is delayed they have one hot night together, and go their separate ways.
Now Gracie has a new Architectural job in New York, where her hot one night stand lives. But when she comes face to face with him, looks like he has a secret he didn’t tell her about.
What a cute story. These to were such a cute couple together. They had amazing chemistry. But can they make it work, especially after finding out Marc’s secret. Loved the story. And I don’t like reading so much Christmas story, but this was just the right amount of holiday cheer 😊
If you want a quick cute Hallmarkish book with a little spice then this book is for you! This is a billionaire single dad age gap romance that will have you hoping for the same type of love!
This book was a quick read for me. I instantly fell in love with the characters and couldn't wait for the end to see if Gracie would finally have the love she deserved. She had been through so much and I wish the book touched on that more. This girl was always kind no matter the circumstances and always thought of other! Now Marco, Marco, Marco! He was a dream and had all the right qualities! He was kind, a generous (spicy)lover and a doting father. How could we not fall in love with him!
I did read the extra chapter the author wrote and I loved it! I still can't stop laughing at the comments made about her cake!
If you are sappy like me then this is a must read!
Ms. Woods, I loved this and devoured it within a few hours. This is a standalone within a series. One night together, on Christmas Eve Marco and Gracie agree to do since they live in different states. That night was wow and Marco's mouth was intense. The fact he put her needs first made me fall in love with him. Gracie that girl had hopes and dreams that she followed causing me to admire her. Marco had a daughter who at first I was not a fan of but once she spoke her truth I understand. It was not hard to fall in love with this couple. The side characters were perfect for this book. I can't wait to see what the next book will bring.
Loved this romance ❤️ I've read all of this authors books and truly enjoy them all. They always capture me right away and I can't put them down! I loved this couple from the beginning, Marc and Gracie are a dynamic duo with tons of chemistry. I enjoyed the whole book, it flowed nicely and I didn't want it to end! Definitely recommend reading this for a great love story with lots of steam and a lovely HEA.
I thought this romance was quite sweet. Marc has frequented a bar in Chicago when he is in town because he is interested in Gracie who works there. Finally one night they get to know each other and one thing leads to another. When Gracie tracks him down in New York, misunderstandings happen. They try to have a relationship but ghosts from Gracie's past keep coming back to haunt her, as well as Marc's family. I really liked this couple and enjoyed how the tale weaved to its conclusion.
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.
Gracie is caught between the emotions of how her life was growing up with parents who didn't want her and a life where her perfect match truly adores her. Marc wants to give her everything that life holds dear, including himself.
This story was a fun one to read. Loved reading about Marc and Gracie’s truth and dare game. Loved reading about single parent romance and this was no different
Maybe it’s annoyance from listening to what my friend went through when she dated a man with kids, but the behavior from Aria was unacceptable. I thought it was ridiculous how Marc just let his daughter get away without any consequences. If that was my kid, they would be grounded for how horribly they treated someone.
The Christmas Agreement was about Gracie (I couldn't find her last name) and Marco "Marc" Giordano. Gracie came from a troubled youth in Chicago. She was 26 years old and bartending while attending college. Marc was a billionaire architect from New York who traveled around the globe for work. He was working on a project in Chicago at the time he met Gracie tending bar and they got to know each other a bit with each of his visits, although nothing much was shared until he got stranded on Christmas Eve and they ended up hooking up for a one night stand. Neither thought it would go further than that...except before leaving for home, Marc left Gracie a note with his contact information. A month later, Gracie sent Marc a text message, and that was the beginning of their trading messages for a bit. After a while, Gracie ended up moving to New York because she had gotten an internship with a design company. Once she was settled in, she decided to visit Marc at his home and surprise him with her news of having moved to the Big Apple. However, before she could cross the street to knock on his door, a woman with a teenager was there first, which shocked her because Marc had said he was single but had never mentioned he had a teenage daughter. Rather than confront him at the time, Gracie went home and decided to just write him off. Once she had settled in at work, Gracie went to a meeting with her boss where they were to meet up with a client they were hoping to work with. She was shocked to see that Marc was there as the rival company that would be working on the project with them. However, she gave him the cold shoulder, which threw him, because he didn't understand why she was ignoring him. Although Marc tried to contact her repeatedly, Gracie was not answering her calls or responding to his messages. When he ran into her at a restaurant, they finally sat down and talked through what had pushed her away. When he told her he had been married before, but that they had been divorced for 12 years, she breathed a little easier. However, being only 26, she didn't know if she was ready to be with a man with a teenage daughter. Marc said he understood, but that he really wanted to work things out between them. After meeting Ariel, Marc's daughter, things went well...for a short time. When Ariel made it clear to Gracie that she wasn't happy with the relationship, Gracie told Marc she was going to back off their relationship because she didn't want to come between him and his daughter. Things moved kind of quickly at that point and moved much too fast for comfort. It was almost like the author was in a hurry to get past any rough spots and reach a HEA before the reader had time to process the angst that should have been there. The ending of the story was rather abrupt and felt like the author had left out several chapters. It left the reader hanging a bit and was like...wait, what just happened? Why didn't you finish that chapter, that thought process?! You know...a dangling participle in a sentence that doesn't fit? Yeah, that was a bad way to go. The author needed another 2-3 chapters to make it flow more smoothly. Otherwise, it was a good story. It had a little drama, a decent amount of sizzle, and some humor to make it all fall together. But with the last three chapters, it was like free-falling into space and wondering where the stairs went that you were expecting to walk down. Still, it deserves a four-star rating.
Since they were fifteen, Gracie and Ava have been friends. They both find themselves living on the streets of, Chicago, rather than taking their chances, at home. Drugs, alcohol, and abuse fueled their need to survive. Once they hit the shelter they found two caring households that gave them what they need, to survive, thrive, and grow. Gracie decided she wanted to go, to college and make something of herself. So, she racked up as many hours as she could for the nest egg she was working hard for. The family that took her in owns a bar so long hours, and sleazy dressing, all equal larger tips.
One of the customers has, come in a few times for a drink, but has never talked, to her only checked her out. He is back in, on this very busy, Christmas Eve. This time, however, he sits at the bar so, she gets his order for him and chit-chats, with him. Being so close, to him she can see he is older than her, with silver running through his hair on his sides, he’s older, but only by maybe ten years. But, he takes good care of, himself because he is sexy, as all get out. She finds out he has been coming into town for business, but this will be his last time, the project is completed. He is heading back, to New York, but his flight has been delayed two hours. He is enjoying their banter, but he dislikes how the other men look at her, and the way she has, to dress. But, she is not afraid, to stand up, to any of the men that piss her off. Including a guy she catches, slipping a pill into a woman's drink.
As the night goes on, and he is still there she asks if everything is alright. He says his flights have been canceled. So, his secretary is trying, to figure out a hotel for him. But, from his search, he’s having no luck. But his stress level amps up when his phone dies. So, Gracie lends him her charger, once the bar closes. When his secretary calls with no luck, but has a flight for tomorrow afternoon he says thanks. That's when Gracie offers, her old room up over the bar. And, that’s when things get interesting. The next morning after he leaves she finds a note, with his phone number and home address, she is excited. But it's a month before she uses it.
Because she is moving for, an internship because she has graduated. Yup, and guess where she is moving? Yup, New York. She wants to surprise him after many texts and sexy talking, but when she's about, to cross the street a woman and a teen girl go, to his door. When he opens it he takes the girl's hand, and the woman follows them in. Now that night at the bar they played, truth or dare. She asked questions that he answered like are you married, do you have a girlfriend. But, her bad she missed the one about baby and baby mama. But, a teen is no baby. So, now she is ghosting him. But, that all changes the next day when she is working, for the competing company. Yup, she’s an architect and works for, the other side.
This was such a good book. Being a child of divorce this pushed some buttons. Loved how the author had the characters handle it.
One lonely Christmas Eve, Gracie spends a wild night with a handsome stranger who had been into the bar where she works several times before. He was from out of town, nothing more could come from it, but they gave in to their wild connection and spent a magical night together before he left Chicago and Gracie behind the next day.
Fast forward a few months, and Gracie lands an apprenticeship working with an architect in New York City. And the architect representing the other company on the joint project is none other than Marc. Their second meeting is full of awkwardness -- not only are they both surprised to see the other, but Gracie mistakenly believes Marc is married -- but eventually they reignite the spark that is still flickering between them.
I liked this second-chance romance, but I didn't love it. Marc is quite the alpha male, and there are enough tender and swoony scenes mixed in with all of the heat and passion. But I felt a little lost while reading this story. Like I felt like I was missing out on a lot of Gracie's backstory. I later discovered that she is a side character in another book, so maybe that's where her background was explained. There were many conversations between Gracie and Ava that alluded to past events that I felt like I was clueless about. I also wish there was more Christmas in this book, considering the title.
But overall, Gracie and Marc's story is a cute second-chance romance. I received an advanced story and voluntarily left a review.
From the title, I expected a little more Christmas vibe, but after getting into it, the title makes sense. Marc and Gracie had an agreement to be together for one night. At the time, it seemed like that is all they were destined to experience together since they lived in different states. Fate steps in and Gracie gets the chance to move and work in Marc's territory in NYC.
Overall, I enjoyed the story between Marc and Gracie - but I often felt I needed to read more action rather than being told about the action. The conversation was a bit awkward at times, but as the story goes on, it vastly improves. There were a few opportunities I would have enjoyed having a bit more information on both of their backstories, but it didn't hinder the story from moving forward.
I'm always ready to swoon over an alphamale who makes it abundantly clear that he wants a woman. Plenty of heat and moments that will have your heart melting into a puddle with this one!
I received a complimentary ARC for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.
Gracie and Marco meet at the bar she works at on Christmas Eve. While Marco has been coming into her bar for a few weeks, they never really had too much conversation until that night. Marco's flight back to NY gets cancelled and these two finally get a chance to get to know one another and have one night together. When Marco leaves to go home, he leaves his contact info for Gracie. The two start texting after a bit and when Gracie gets an internship at an architectural firm in NY, she decides to surprise Marco by going to his home to let him know she has relocated to NY. Imagine her surprise when a young girl and beautiful woman pull up to his home and go inside. Gracie is stunned and can't figure out why he didn't tell her he had a young daughter. Imagine Marco's surprise when he is in a meeting for a project and Gracie walks in with the other team. Great book that I really enjoyed all the characters. There was a tiny bit of angst, but not from the usual suspects. Definitely a one click.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cute easy romance. This story was great. I took a star off because I thought it was going to be more of a Christmas story (hence the title), but there was a passing mention of it being christmas eve/day no Christmas-NESS. But apart from that, it was an easy, cute romance book. It was nice to see some hardship of a single parent trying to start a new relationship with the 13 yr old daughter. Some issues I had was in some areas detail was a little lacking I.e what's with her last relationship? at one point, she mentions living with him and it being terrible but no details. What child did Ava have in the end? as we have been waiting all book with her pregnancy but then no mention of what she had, I would have liked Gracie to meet the ex wife and his brothers as they were teased but then forgotten, and what happened with the joint project? Is she now a perm or still a trainee? Anyway, cute story if you need a palate cleanse.
This is my first read by Sharon Woods and I loved it. It was an absolutely cute billionaire single-dad steamy story. And I absolutely look forward to reading more of her books. These characters were absolutely amazing and I couldn’t get enough of them.
Marc is stranded on Christmas Eve and can’t get home to his Daughter. Gracie is a bartender and alone on Christmas Eve. These two are instantly attracted when they meet in the bar she tends. One thing leads to another and they end up spending Christmas Eve getting to know one another. Their connection is instant and their chemistry is off the charts. It’s later when she gets an internship in NY she finds herself face to face with Marc again and she finds out somethings she didn’t know!! Will they get their HEA? Their story is definitely one you won’t want to miss. A definite must read.
Gracie was working as a bartender while attending college. She notices Marc every time he comes into the bar until one night on Christmas Eve he is stuck in Chicago because of snow. She knows she will never see him again and decides to throw caution to the wind for one night. Then she discovers she will be working with him when she gets to New York City during her internship. This was a cute and spicy one-night stand story that turns into a second-chance romance. Gracie and Marc had great chemistry together and sparks were flying. I was glad to discover this author and enjoyed reading the book. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Gracie and Marco meet @ the bar he goes to when he's in Chicago on business. Marc noticed the dark haired beauty the 1st time he stepped into that establishment. Every time he comes Into Chicago. He has not considered a woman since his divorce. The only lady in his life is his daughter Aria. Gracie does something to Marc that he has not felt in years. Read their romance And this bubbles they have to deal with being A single parent. Building a career. Can Gracie be In Marco's life knowing he has a teenage daughter. She does not wanna get in the middle of their relationship. What happens when Aria Informs Gracie she does not want her in the way of her father's life?
