Phaedra thought she left her least favorite holiday behind when she moved from Earth to another planet. It’s just her luck her hunky new mayor enlists her help to plan the town’s Valentine’s Day celebration. Can you blame her for describing it more like the 1920s St. Valentine’s Mob Fiasco than the chocolates-and-teddy-bear version?
Phaedra It wasn’t my fault the mayor overheard my enthusiastic description of the best part of V-Day—1920s gangsters, molls, and shootouts in the streets. The panty-meltingly handsome male thinks I set him up to be the object of ridicule. Just the opposite. He’s the object of my deepest desires.
Azari Phaedra’s gorgeous and brilliant, not to mention irritating as hell. As soon as I figure out how to forgive her for keeping such a big secret from me, I’m going to learn how to dance the Charleston in my pinstripe suit, spats, and Fedora. Because even though I swore off love, I’m going to find a way to make her mine.

A fantastic steamy-sweet small town/alien romance! I absolutely loved it! Interactions between the characters flow really well. Super fun storyline, and endearing couple. One of Alana's sweetest ever, and I read it all in one sitting!
I love the Arixxia fields series. The books are all super fun, cute and easy to read. Perfect for a lazy afternoon or an early nigth. Azari is the mayor and he wants to save his town that lives of tourism. So he wants to explore human holidays to atract tourits. This time is valentines day. I loved that they made such an original Celebration of this holiday that its trully just for some people. Now everyone can join the party and drink bathtub gin!
Not love UN-Valentine's Day? Fuhgeddaboutit! Can two beings who've always been neglected by love learn to celebrate it together? This love story is steamy, funny and sweet. While they're both attracted to each other, because of the past neither of them is sure how to proceed with their new feelings. But the building heat between them quickly makes an opening. Arixxia Fields sounds like the cover of Saturday Evening Post, but with aliens. Small town romance galaxy style and I love it. I think I would like it. Great characters and well written Valentines Day short.
A sweet and spicy read involving the "Un"Valentines holiday. It's a quick read with an instant attraction/love story that quickly pulls you and leaves you ready for the next book in the series.
A sweet story filled with sexual tension as they have to wait to tackle the mad attraction they have for each other. Wonderful take on changing Valentine’s Day to something outrageous and so good.
Guys, I do be fucking with these alien romances lowkey because I just imagine the aliens as tall hunky men. Also sometimes the language barrier trope in these makes me LOL. This one was good but the end felt too rushed like she put all that effort into a build up and and climax of the plot was sorta meh
I was dubious about a "steamy small-town alien romance," but Azari sold me completely. The story was a charming combination of sci-fi and small-town, cute couple, slow-burn attraction. There were a number of chuckles throughout as human newcomer and town librarian Phaedra convinces the smoking hot alien mayor Azari to turn Valentine's Day into his town's next big tourist-attracting holiday extravaganza. The two make a great entrepreneurial team as they plan a town-wide festival with a Roaring Twenties theme. When a human townie points out that a V-Day Massacre isn't the traditional approach to the holiday, Azari and Phaedra temporarily back away from their romance before reuniting to bring the celebration to a sparkling conclusion with awesome public fireworks in the town square and equally awesome private pyrotechnics in the mayor's antique, yellow hovercraft. Lots of fun, a sweet romance (but with plenty of heat).
I received a free copy of this book and am leaving a review voluntarily.
Azari was the cutest book ever! It’s perfect for a quick Valentine’s Day read. If you like small town romances, but want to spice it up with some aliens, then this book is for you! I give this 💘💘💘💘💘!
Azari is the mayor of a small town and he’s trying to find ways to help his town survive since they depend on tourism. His idea is to incorporate some human holidays, with Valentine’s Day being his focus. In comes Phaedra, a human woman, who is enlisted to help.
Unfortunately, they both don’t have the best experiences with love, so they kind of dance around their attraction to one another. Neither of them know how to navigate their feelings. But true love always prevails!
Working together, they eventually figure it out, and they’re able to make Valentine’s Day a hit in Arixxia Fields.
This book was so much fun to read! It’s so sweet, fluffy, and there’s a ton of chemistry. The spice is amazing too 🥰.
I really loved the small town aspect in the book. It makes everything feel so cozy! Alana has a few books set in small towns - Taliz (Christmas) and Brekk (Halloween). I’d love to see more books like this with other aliens and monsters. As much as I love big huge galaxies and space ports, it’s a nice change to see a small town.

Phaedra is from earth and has only been in Arixxia Fields for a few months. She likes her job as a librarian and is making new friends. She is totally hot for the town mayor Azari, not that he would ever notice her, but a girl can dream!
Azari loves being the mayor of Arixxia Fields and he is very proud that he has been able to take the bankrupt town and make it prosperous through tourism. He’s always looking for new opportunities and when he overhears Phaedra talking about the Valentines Day Massacre he thinks that would be a great tourist attraction. He also is very attracted to Phaedra and thinks working with her will give them a chance to get to know each other.
Phaedra can’t believe her luck when Azari asks her to help put together a Valentines Day Event. She feels a little guilty not correcting him and telling him what Valentines Day is really about but since she hates Valentines Day she figures he will never find out. Boy was she wrong! And boy is he angry!
Can anything save the towns Valentines Celebration and can their budding love be saved?
Phaedra has recently relocated to Arixxia Fields and now works at the library. At a social, she finds herself discussing Valentine's Day with a local resident. Unhappy with the negative emotions the holiday can manifest with unmatched individuals, Phaedra states that her favorite part of that day is the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Azari, the city's mayor, overhears her description of the massacre and is intrigued. Hoping a recreation of this day will bring needed revenue to a town that survives on tourism, Azari hires Phaedra to assist him in this endeavor. Sparks fly when Azari is introduced to the true meaning of Valentine's Day. Not only does he question the planned event, but Azari finds himself wondering about his growing attraction to Phaedra. A fun read with wonderful characters.
This delightfully, entertaining small town Sci-Fi alien romance was a pleasure to read and the plot has a fascinating “slow-burn” theme that is highly entertaining. The characters are well-depicted with individual personalities that both challenged & complemented each other. There is: a female librarian (Phaedra) is no simpering Miss and is definitely not impressed with the romantic outlook for Valentine’s day & gives the alien mayor (Azari) some unexpected problems then to make life even more interesting the attractions begin to flare, friendship, some mild twists, intrigue, drama, humor, complications, compromises, steamy scenes, contentment & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this Sci-Fi romance to people who enjoy reading this genre.
Phaedra and Azari's story is a sweet, slow burn romance. They came from two different worlds to find each other on Hallion. He is the mayor and is making his town more prosperous as a tourist destination. Phaedra works at the library. Together they work on a new holiday project and their attraction grows. I enjoyed reading how they navigate their growing connection, the drama, misunderstandings, putting things on hold and more. I found this sentence to be so profound:. "The feeling of being loved and accepted, the feeling of coming home, has been joined by desire." This story is so well done with great world building and character development. And a HEA.
LOVED this book. The world building was fantastic and the characters were wonderful! The chemistry between the two lead characters is sizzling. There are adult situations. A woman who is usually alone on Valentine's day is questioned by an alien about the holiday and hating the holiday she described the St. Valentine's Day Massacre back in the 1920's. The mayor overhearing this decides it is an excellent holiday to promote the alien's town. This is a wonderful story and I enjoyed it very much. It was easy to read and made me laugh as well as my heart go pitter pat over the ups and downs in the relationship. I would highly recommend the story.
I loved this book, it was full of humor, romance, hot hot hot sensual moments between our amazing characters. The story will keep you completely entertained from the very first page all the way to the last one.
The author has an amazing way with words and her world building and characters will be remembered long after you finish her books. I highly recommend these books and this author to everyone who loves syfy romance. I know you will love it as much as I did. Be sure to pick up a copy, you will be very very glad that you did.
This was such a fun read and a great slow burn romance for a Valentine's holiday story. It was very entertaining to think of the love holiday as being something full of shootouts and speakeasies ;P Yep, this story took us down a different path but love still ended up being the fabulous conclusion. Expect twists, drama, secrets and steamy romance to have you glued to your reader as Phaedra and Azari's story unfolds. I can't wait for more ;D
I loved this unique approach to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Azari and Phaedra have their work cut out for the community as well as for dealing with each other. Kindred spirits from different worlds meeting on yet another planet- what are the chances. Great descriptions and lighthearted banter along with a touch of steam made this story a pleasure to read.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
I loved this quirky, fun, funny take on Valentine's day.
I love elaborate costumes and plays and the idea of a fun for all Valentine's day. Since I was 14 I've mostly been dating then but that never meant it was a fun day. My first marriage ended on that day. I was able to relate to wanting to change how it was celebrated. My second husband's birthday was the day before and we enjoyed both days. He just passed away so no more Happy Valentine's days for me.
What an adorable take on Valentines Day! The entire time I was reading the book I was imagining what Azari looked like in his 1920’s attire. I thought Phaedra held out a lot longer than I would have so I’m glad the finale was worth the buildup. It was nice to return to the planet, I still laugh thinking about how the celebrate empty weenie day. LOL. Great job Alana Khan as usual.
The third book in the Arixxia Fields: A Steamy Small-Town Alien Romance series, another great story that kept me turning pages. Phaedra does not like Valentine's Day but she does like the 1920's St. Valentine’s Day Massacre story. Azari the mayor of their town overhears her talking to her friends and is going to do the story as a reenactment. I would say this fun story was my favorite in the series so far. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The .two main characters haven’t had much luck finding love. Azari’s first and only attempt was disastrous. Phaedra has lots of interest, but never any luck. It’s so bad, she hates Valentine’s Day with a passion! But when the two meet, sparks begin to fly. Unfortunately the road to true love becomes quite bumpy.

I liked this un-Valentine's Day they are celebrating. Everyone gets to participate and have fun. The chemistry and the teasing between our MCs makes me smile. There's a little bit of angst but all part of the story. It was more light and fun the whole time while we watch the love develop between these two.
This book definitely has a unique take on Valentine's day. It was a relatively quick enjoyable read. While the story is standalone, There are more books about about different holidays that take place in the same town you might want to check out.
I’ve read, devoured, and loved every book. Alien romance, lots of steamy sex, and did I mention hunky aliens? What more does a gal need? Hmmm, an alien abduction sounds good about now. If you haven’t read them, read every single book by Alana, you’re going to love them.
Azari is the latest story from one of my favorite storytellers - Alana Khan. The story is all that I need in a book - entertaining with absolutely awesome characters, great story-line, emotional and one I get lost in and travel alongside the characters. Highly recommended read
This is a very good, well written, Alien/Human romance with a touch of good humor. The characters are lovable and well developed. Phaedra doesn’t like the romantic Valentines but thinks the St Valentine Massacre is better. Read and see what happens.
An earth holiday celebrated alien style! 1920s style Valentin’s day including a massacre every two hours! Who needs cheap chocolate and bad cards when you can have bath tub gin and sexy aliens.
I love every book by Alan Khan, she really knows how to let her characters love, passion and personality shine. This book was so much fun to read that I got no sleep, I just couldn’t stop reading it to see what was going to happen next.
I love this series, each taking an Earth holiday and twisting it to fit an alien Hallmark type town. Each book introduces us to another character that shows up in the next book. I expect an alien fire fighter next!
