I’m on stage at the Auction House, barely dressed, ready to give up my virginity to the highest bidder. No matter if he’s human, shifter or…alien. Wednesday Adams auctions herself
Posey is clearly supposed to be an adult non-magical version of Wednesday Adams and auctions herself to pay for her cat’s medical bills and other things. Her beau speaks like and alien, but so does she. So obnoxiously formal. The finale of this book was so anticlimactic it was frankly horrifying. Just overall rather disappointed.

You know, I was perfectly okay with this book. Up until the ending of Posey's revenge plans...then I couldn't help but be like "come on seriously?"
I actually liked that Posey wasn't like any of the other girls/women. But I just got so annoyed with the constant mention of her constant need to wear black and the fact that she never smiles...
Are we really trying to go down the popular Wednesday Adams route here? Seriously? Because that's all I could think of everytime the author had to mention how she wears black all the time and doesn't smile...oh and doesn't communicate her love to those that she apparently does love.
For an alien male who is in the midst of his mating heat the sex scenes were extremely tame compared to what I was expecting.
Posey's whole reason for entering the auction was mainly to fund her revenge plan on her stepfather and for the ending we got with this situation I felt robbed and as if the author just wanted to smack and easy ending on and call it a day.

Part of a series comprised of stand-alone stories, written by various authors, linked through an auction where virgins voluntarily place themselves up for bid to millionaires and billionaires. The stories feature humans, shifters, and aliens that coexist within the same series thanks to the ringleader of the auction, Coco St. James.
** If you have not read the story, the following may contains spoilers, but hopefully only enough to adequately explain my opinion and/or to support my rating. **
⛔️ Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to sensitive readers, such as: adult language; mental health challenges of depression, anxiety, as dealing with father’s illness, etc.; steamy adult intimate scenes with elements of dominance, submission, etc.; violence against the heroine’s father and mother by her step-father, etc.
Just like the other stories of this series, this is a very fast read. I liked the darker nature of the characters, Posey and Waylen. The story universe is primarily set at a luxury log cabin in Idaho, but is kept simple with a focus on their chemistry and Posey’s history.
Unfortunately there is a tremendous amount of grammatical errors, inconsistencies with the data and information that should have been included. This is all documented below. I loved the premise, and it has great potential, but it really needs editing.
Waylen is The Most Feared Warrior on Voltare, but he was set up and exiled from his world. Now he has entered his time of heat and needs to find his mate, or risk losing his mind. Fortunately his cousin was able to mate with a human, so Waylen is hoping he will be able to find his as well, but he detests the humans’ mating custom of finding and purchasing a mate through the auctions. Such a primitive process for a primitive people. Maybe this time he will find her, but it doesn’t look promising considering his luck at the previous ones.
She has one last semester to complete her Master’s Degree, but Posey finds herself cutoff from her funds by her stepfather, Ezra, without any notice. This occurred right after she found information indicating that he was involved in the death of her father, his supposed best friend and business partner.
So Posey needs the money quick for several reasons: retribution, revenge, security, and to care for her beloved Demon Spawn. Her poor aging baby needs special treatment and food, both of which are expensive. Ezra moved in on her mother as soon as Posey went to college and she has reason to believe he is drugging her … he never leaves her side and the woman is actually smiling in all her photos … and she never smiles!
Then Posey finds the solution to all of her issues on the message boards at college … an auction to sell her virginity! Now she just needs a nice amenable male to marry, so she can control the situation and hide using a different name. Then Posey will divorce him shortly thereafter. Everything is going to plan until a tattooed, bare-chested alien with red eyes, black claws, and tusks that extends beyond his chin is the winning bidder …
I mention the following for readers such as myself, that visualize a story as it is read, as errors interrupt the flow. The story contains a lot of grammatical issues with incorrect punctuation (commas), so many in fact that I stopped documenting them about half way through. Otherwise, it would have doubled the reading time. I continued documenting other types of issues with incorrect punctuation (spaces—missed and extra, stranded quotation marks), incorrect word choice, extra inserted word, missed words, duplicated sentence, and inconsistent data with age and Waylen’s tongue. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

Posey comes from a wealthy family. She lost her father at the age of 8 and her mother remarried his best friend. Recently Posey suspects that her stepfather isn't the nice man he always appeared to be. She found papers containing evidence that he arranged the death of her father. He cut off all her credit cards and funds because she choose what he called a useless major. Posey needs the money to help take care of her friends and to buy the expensive medicine her elderly cat needs. Posey comes up with a plan. She will sell off her v-card at the Breeding Auction and get a million dollars. If her winning bidder wants to marry her she will agree because it will help her hide. She wants to marry an easy controllable man. With her million dollars, she will pay for her cat's medicines, help her friends with their finances and hire mercenaries to kill her stepfather. After all, this is just a business deal. The night of the auction, most of the women are wearing soft lingerie but Posey is dressed in black. She dances aggressively on the stage which draws a lot of bids. When the highest bidder comes forward, Posey is shocked that he is a tusked alien. There is no way she will be able to manipulate him.
Waylen is a Voltairian warrior who should have been the greatest warrior on his planet. Instead a rival plotted to get him banished from the home planet right before Waylen was supposed to go in heat. Waylen comes to Earth because Earth women are compatable with his kind. This is part of the Highest Bidder each book can be read as a standalone in under an hour or so but once you pick it up you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned each with a strong alpha and the women he chooses, or fate chose for him. Posey is feisty, loyal to a fault, helps others out of the goodness of her heart, her father dying in an accident threw her mentally for a loop especially after his best friend steps in seeming to take everything her father had including marrying her mother but finding evidence that he orchestrated his death along with him cutting off her money pushes her to do something drastic. Waylen a sexy as all get out Voltare warrior banished from his planet over a murder he didn’t commit but he has family on earth to help him learn the human ways however, they couldn’t help him with his mating heat so auction after auction and felt this was another disappointment until the last women walked on the stage instantly he knew she was his mate now to convince his girl. The attraction is intense and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored but do they get along like he hopes, will she accept all of him, will he understand her secrets, will he help her get to the bottom of it all concerning her stepfather, and can they find happiness on this adventure?.

Posey's finances were cut off by her step-father and mother and so she needs to find a way to earn money fast to raise the money to care for her elderly cat and finance the young women who are studying at Oxford University with the help of a scholarship via her fund. So she finds herself on the stage at the auction to sell off her virginity planning to divorce at got back to her normal life as soon as she can. She also plans to take vengeance against her stepfather for killing her father. A heavily armed and tattooed male alien with tusks pounds his fists on his chest and heads for her as he has won her at the auction. How am I supposed to reign over this handsome, muscle-bound alien alpha? My body might be for sale tonight, but my heart is certainly not part of the bargain.
I enjoyed this story although the whole stepfather/father death thing and the cutting off of her finances were a little too contrived for me. I loved her heart and that she was determined to help those less fortunate than herself to get through university and wanted to make sure it was done in an anonymous way. Waylen was a man who had been wronged but he was determined to get himself a mate/wife and was empathetic to find a way to make life better for her previous cat. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.

I really loved this book and the main characters had me at the auction and the cat was hilarious and being a cat lover I totally understand what you do for your fur babies. Posey needs to get money fast, one to save her mother from her stepdad and two is for the treatment and medication for her senior cat and three is for revenge for her father death. And so that’s what brings us the the Auction House where she is selling her virginity to humans, aliens, beasts and they have the option to marry her as well and on the spot and Posey hopes she gets someone she can control. Waylen Tusk is a Tusk warrior of Voltaire and his cousin Taygar meet his mate at a auction house and that’s why he has been going to them to find his mate and as the females come on stage none have been his mate and when a female dressed all in black walks on the stage he knows she is his mate and he will win the bid and he does and he also marries her on the spot just to seal the deal. But it’s not all smooth sailing and her crazy cat is a challenge as much as she is to him. There is so much going in this book that has the reader cheering for our main couple and all the drama, stress, anxiety, action, sadness are just a few things that make this book a must read.

A surprisingly cute read! 🥰❤️
Full disclosure, I haven’t read the others in this series so my expectations were low… but I was pleasantly surprised (and will def go read the others)! It was a very cute read and I loved the H! 🥰
The h took some time to grow on me, but it was a fun switch though for the grump in a grumpy/sunshine story to be the woman! I just wish she had trusted the H sooner, it could have saved her TONS of heartbreak and anxiety. 🤦♀️ With that said, you come to learn she is much more kind & loving than you expect.
The H did everything in his power to make the h’s dream come true and build a life together with her. I definitely recommend this book. I’m looking forward to going back and reading the others!
Pros:
• a completely lovable H
• the growth of their love was cute
• the Demon kitty! I can relate to the challenges of having an aging kitty that you love so much
• how secretly soft-hearted the h was underneath her hard shell
Cons:
• the whole alien way of gaining the mates approval was a bit odd (although funny)

She hears about the virginity auction and decides it will be the easiest and fastest way to earn the money she desperately needs. This is strictly a business transaction — Posey has no intention of falling in love. Waylen Tusk attends the auction in hopes of finding his mate. None of the girls catch his eye until Posey walks on stage. She’s dressed in all black and doesn’t smile, but he can’t deny the immediate attraction. She is his mate and he will win the bid to take her home.
Posey was a fun heroine — definitely different. The name of her cat, Demon Spawn, definitely made me chuckle. It’s refreshing to have a heroine that is unique like Posey. Waylen was the typical dominating alpha alien warrior. He was super sweet and had much to learn about his new mate.

Enter Posey Bambaugh. The last Earth female in tonight's auction. Her scent filters across the room and enters Waylen's nostrils. His search is over. Now he just has to win the bidding. Fortunately, he has deep pockets because he must have her. The bidding is raised a million at a time until he decides to end it. "Twenty million!" he yells out. The hall goes silent, and Waylen has his mate. Posey is stunned. Expecting to be snagged by an elderly Earth billionaire, Waylen is instead a huge, dark, musclebound and tattooed alien with tusks. Posey is stunned, but that surprise is temporary; especially when Posey sees her new "domicile."
This is really a cute story with some R-rated elements and a mystery about what happened to Posey's biological father. The main characters are strong and easy to like. Storyline is smooth, and the dialog is snappy and a little quirky. At 83 pages, it's a quick read but a very enjoyable one. With added epilogues (yes, one for Waylen and one for Posey), it has double the impact of an HEA.

Great until the ending
I enjoyed this quick read very much, right up until the “big reveal” at the end. Next paragraph will have plot specific spoilers, but I found it both anticlimactic and disappointing, as it made the h go from “bad*** b**ch” to naive little girl, in my opinion. No thank you.
SPOILERS:
We spend most of the novella under the impression that the h’s stepfather murdered her father. Her revenge plotting is a focal point of the story line, and she supposedly has ample evidence. However, when the H looks over her evidence in an effort to help her get said revenge, it becomes apparent that the evidence is pretty surface level. After questioning mother and stepfather, the “big reveal” is that they happen to have planned a murder mystery party which the daughter knew nothing about (weird) and which featured step dads “murder” of his deceased best friend. Ummm, can you say incredibly poor taste?
Not only did it feel incredibly contrived, it made the h who has been portrayed as highly intelligent, nonconformist, and overall kick a** corm off as highly gullible with questionable judgement.

Posey is desperate and there is nothing that she won't do for Demon. Since her step-father thought to cut her off without a cent from all of her allowance she is down to pence and her emergency money stash. The only way she can ensure the best care for her Demon and also cover the scholarships she funds is to put herself up for auction. If she can convince the guy to marry her so much the better as it means she might be able to convince him of other things as well. She's determined that it will only be one year of her life at the most so what is there to lose? That is until she sees who's bought her. Waylen Tusk is bored and has been for entire auction. He thought that he might be able to grasp a last straw and find someone to see him through his heat but all the women look like they'd faint away at the sight of him. That is until her, the last one, the one in black with the attitude in her eyes. Now she is worth all and more! He will do anything to make her his and keep her forever. All he has to do is convince her...

Auctioned to the Tusk Warrior by Michele Mills is part of the Highest Bidder series, and it was such a fun read! Twists and turns and delicious chemistry between the protagonists; what more could I ask for?
Oh Posey and Waylen, what a pair! Both driven, both focused, both surprised by one another and how quickly and easily they could slot into a new life and journey together...if they let themselves, and their pasts don't get in the way.
With some light drama and mystery, this story is a fast paced, charming read of people from different walks of life finding happiness together. What do you get when you combine a goth and an alien warrior? A fun read!

This is another fab story for the series and I giggled away at the contrast of Posey, our human gal at the auction, and Waylen, our alien alpha heading into a mating issue...with no mate. So yeah, he was so disappointed none of the other auctions revealed his mate, until he sees Posey on the stage. She's super goth, dresses in black and has a cute, but elderly, cat named Demon ;) They were fab together but it did take some time for her to feel as deeply for him as he did for her. That felt real from her reasoning for using the auction in the first place. I also loved the epilogues - and her mom's reaction to the situation that drove Posey to the auction. An enjoyable read and I can't wait for more :D

Waylen has no choice but to find a mate on Earth , since his exile. He's optimistic that he'll find a mate at the auction, because his DC cousin did. So when he scents his mate, he knows no one else can habe her. Posey, on the other hand, is just looking to be able to fund her revenge and take care of her ailing kitty. She didn't want to fall in love, because, she didn't want to lose anyone else. Despite all that, at every turn he tried to support her. Wearing down her walls. I loved this story, because Waylen wss willing to support Posey, but no blindly. And kept trying to make her feel secure. Its a sweet and charming read.

Spicy auction love story.
I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with some elements of suspense as well as some steam. The characters were interesting and likable. I wasn’t sure about Posey at first but the more we found out about her made her a great character. Her individual style and personality was different than most characters I have read about. Waylen and Posey met after he won her at an auction. Waylen had to explain to Posey that things weren’t going to be the way that she wanted and hoped that they would be. Luckily for both of them, the way things were worked for both of them. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

No Chemistry
Posey might be one of my least favorite FMCs. She never smiles, and she only tells Waylan she loves him one time in the entire book. And it is acknowledged by the MMC that she never says it. She reeks of “not like other girls.” It’s irritating how unlikeable she intentionally tries to be. She makes a ridiculous assumption about her step father and seeks absolute revenge only to find out that what she thought happened, never happened.
There is also no chemistry between Waylan and Posey. Everything is so formal and cold. And I’m unsure if Posey is even capable of liking anyone.

The virgin auction wouldn’t have been his first choice but needs must be met!
This was a great short fast read in the Highest Bidder series both hot and spicy and with two very likable leads keeping the reader engaged along with a few surprises, an adorable kitty and another well written fun story by the author. LOVED IT!.

Posey is auctioning off her virginity and hoping she'll be the alpha between her and the billionaire whether he is human, alien, or shifter. When Waylen, an alpha tusked alien warrior, sees Posey he instantly knew she was his mate. I loved how perfect these two were for each other and I was cheering them on to get their happily ever after from the start. This is a fated mates, auctioned for love story with great characters, and a great ending. Auctioned to the Tusk Warrior is book six in the Highest Bidder series and I look forward to reading the rest of this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Posey needs money to care for herself, her I'll cat Demon and for friends that have tough life. She sells herself at the virgin auction. Waylen needs a mate and searches on earth for her. When he sees and smells Posey he knows she is his and he bids on her. Their attraction and connection is instant and they fall head over heels in lust and love with each other🥰 Instalove, sweet, steamy ,romantic and with sweet HEA and no drama😍😍😍😍

Only thing that bothered me... She is his mate but he had pleasure mates to learn to pleasure his future mate. That kind of rubbed me wrong, but that's just my personal preference 🤷🏻♀️😉

Posey and Waylen are the second book in this series written by Michele Mills, and it is a quick, and fun, read. Posey sounds very Goth, and Waylen sounds like he is a tiny step away from Goth so he appreciates Posey’s style a lot. Posey is another young woman in a financial bind who finds an unconventional solution. She is very lucky that solution leads her to Waylen. These two are a perfect match, while Posey seems a bit young and in need of Waylen’s maturity to guide her through troubled misconceptions. So glad Waylen saves Posey’s baby cat, Demon! Now where do I find a Med Pod for my dogs?

The story was very predictable. The sex scenes were very vanilla and very short. The writing style was strange to me. It reads as internal dialog. FMC is doing that, is enjoying this, will do this. Then, randomly, a conversation between the characters happens. The MC dialog is "cavemanish" example: I invite her stepfather, a weak human male, he brings along Poseys mother. I am all for insta-love but I did feel any really chemistry or connection between the main characters.

This was a great addition to the auctioned series. I love the chemistry between the two main characters, Posey and Waylen.
Posey was a very strong person . She was also very compassionate and wanted to help her friends.
Waylen was also a strong alien and once he found Posey he was very positive, Posey was the one.
I love the twists . Action packed with plenty of steam.
Fun, easy to read. A great way to spend an afternoon reading.

Posey has had her finances frozen by her step father who she thinks murdered her dad. She needs funds to pay for her mums protection, the PI and for her sick cats medicine. She decides entering an auction to sell her virginity to the highest bidder will resolve the issue.
The winner is an alien called Waylen a Tusk Warrior. This story is amusing and I laughed often. The plot isn't as straight forward as you might assume, and there are some amusing discoveries.
This is a well crafted story.

This was a good one😍
I have read the grizzly book of the auction series, and saw this one, and was intrigued. I am glad I got it. Nothing like the other girls, Posey is a Goth chick with major attitude. She has it all planned out, how she's going to save her mother from her evil Step Father, and get access to her money again. Special treatments, and medication for cats is expensive. She didn't count on an alien Tusk warrior as her new husband, or that she would grow so attached so quickly. I loved how it ends. A surprise twist, I did not expect.
