Before Leila was the deputy headmistress of the Magic School, she had a simple life. Hundreds of years ago, she traveled from city to city, working as a seer. In one of those cities, she met the love of her life. Come read how she met Olivia in this short story.
I don’t really know what to say. It’s too short to really get invested in the relationships. Regardless, I still wouldn’t mind checking out the next installment and so on. I’d say check it out.
I’m not quite sure what to say about this one. It sounded cute and it had the potential to be a good story. But instead you get a great start to a story with a meet cute, then a time jump with an abrupt ending to the first story and a separate start to a “part two” story of sorts. But there wasn’t an actual story here though. It’s says 22 pages but the story itself is only about 9 of that. It felt like more of a prequel and was just very short.
I agree with the other reviews saying this was too short to really judge. It definitely has potential (and I got this for free so I can't really judge) but it feels more like a first chapter than a complete short story in my opinion.
Also the preview chapter at the end is the same length as this full story, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but I feel like it negatively impacted my reading experience to have my Kindle say I was only 50% through the story, but already be at the acknowledgments.
I wanted to like this. It starts out really well and I was enjoying it, but it was just too short for me to be able to get into anything or enjoy the story before it ended.
