The Ties That Bind Us: A Blues Meadow Wedding is not intended to be a standalone story. It follows after the events of Claimed as well as some crucial storylines from Forgotten. So it’s safe to say that even though you could read it first, it definitely contains major spoilers for the series.
Suggested reading order prior to this novella at this time:

END SPOILER ALERT
You are cordially invited to witness the union of Nikolai Lennox and Tahlia Martin on New Years’ Eve! The ceremony begins at sundown on December 31st at Glen Gardens UU Church. Reception to follow in Golden Empress Ballroom at Glen Gardens Suites.
‘Tis the season—to get married!
Now that Christmas has passed, excitement and nerves fill the air as only days remain until Tahlia and Nikolai’s long-anticipated nuptials. Luckily, Cari Septon, “The Rainbow-Haired Dictator” or “Event Organizer Extraordinaire” (depending on who you ask), officially took over the reins after meeting Tahlia in person during Thanksgiving Break. So all that should be left for the happy couple to do is sit back, relax, and look fabulous as they walk down the aisle toward their expected future. What could possibly go wrong?
A lot, actually, particularly when said Wedding Planner freaking bails at the last minute—who does that?! And that was only the beginning of the chaos letting loose in the final count down to New Years’ Eve. A plethora of drama-inducing surprises, including but not limited to family illnesses, pregnancy hormones, unexpected guests, and unresolved issues, pile up around them. With all of this and their history of missed opportunities, how will Tahlia and Nicca be able to not only make it to their ceremony but also pull off the wedding they've been dreaming of? After all our couple has been through to date, will they be able to persevere and keep it all from falling apart at the last minute? Or are they destined to constantly miss out on their Happily Ever After together?
Graceli has been a lifelong writer. She began in 5th grade as a way to process and deal with issues by using her creativity. Over the years, she continued to write until some seemingly unrelated storylines began to intertwine to the point that they couldn’t be separated, and that’s when The VAC Chronicles were born. Some of the stories in the series have already been published, and she has countless more in the works with hopes to bring them to you soon.
When she is not working or spending time with her family, Graceli can be found absorbed in her world, writing the next book or books in the series. She currently lives in Maryland with her two adorable kids and awesome husband while surviving on caffeine drinks, kitty cuddles, and Zumba.
I was blown away with this booklet, it is a continuation from Forgotten so it is not long. As far as the author Graceli Kaye deals with real life situations from hard life choices to the absolutely fascinating! In this book I found myself rereading pages to connect who was related to who while tears where rolling down my cheeks laughing one minute then the next wanting to hit a character over the head! Lol! I not only suggested this booklet but also her other books you will find she writes with her whole heart, while taking on topics most avoid with a degree of positivity that is missing in our world today!
"The Tie that Binds Us" by Gracelli Kaye is a captivating read that delves into the complexities of relationships and the ties that connect us all. Kaye's writing effortlessly weaves together the lives of the characters, drawing readers into a world filled with emotion, drama, and unexpected twists. The author's ability to evoke deep feelings and create relatable characters makes this book a must-read for anyone who enjoys stories about love, family, and the ties that bind us together. Kaye's poignant storytelling will linger in your mind long after you've finished the book.
What better to finish an amazing year of reading than a book about a wedding that takes place on New Years Eve!? I didn't even think about the date of T's wedding when I vowed to make this my last read of 2024. I loved all of these different POV's of characters we have gotten to know plus a few extras. T's special day was made that much more entertaining, special and dramatic. All of the different little hidden ties that the characters have come out and tie up nicely. I hope we get to see more of these characters soon. I look forward to reading about other VAC characters as well. I loved this series so far. I cannot wait to read more from Graceli.
Weddings are wonderful. But you have to have a little drama with them. Or a lot in this case. I’m so happy Nick and Talia got married. I love their baby’s name. My heart broke for Josh though. Yeah he was dumb and caused his own misery for a little while but I felt his pain. I love Ivan and Mellie is my favorite. I like how she stands up to Skye and Nicky - Lies. 🤣. I do hope there’s more to come from these characters.
This book was sweet and interesting. Although a lot of characters were presented in beginning of the book. But, later on the author went in more detail about some of them, but a little confusing. I thought the story line or plot was good but needed to be a little more exciting to hold the readers attention better. A good writer and author.
I thought this was a cute addition to the series. Although, Josh irritated me for a good portion of it. As always, the characters were extremely engaging.
