I only found this author a couple of weeks ago and dived straight into this book. It's told from 2 POV; Cameron and Savannah. Neither of the characters are particularly likeable but they're flawed and real and I definitely cared about what was happening to them. The only reason this isn't 5 stars was that up until around 70% into the book I felt like I was reading 2 separate books. Neither of the characters had anything to do with the other....and then the ball drops! And wow...from that point onwards my mind was blown and WHAT! That ending! So yes...it's a bit of a slow burn to start with but it's all character building and I really enjoyed it. Such a twisted ending! Loved it!
There's just something about a book that I think I'm smart and that I've figured out all the twists, but get hit with the unexpected! This is one of those books, and I thoroughly enjoyed being fooled!
Written, mostly, from the perspectives of Cameron & Savannah, I was sucked into both their separate stories right from the start. I felt for Savannah as she navigated her troubling young years, and I found my anxiety rising while waiting to see what would happen next for Cameron.
This is not my first book by Sarah Jules, and it certainly will not be my last! She has an amazing ability to paint a world filled with characters that you love and hate and feel like you may have potentially met along life's travels. I look forward to more of her work!
What a great book was a bit of a slow burn, but it keeps you interested. I can honestly say i hate Savanahs 2 "friends." they were honestly terrible. Cameron was a bit whinny. This book kept me hooked the entire time. And OH MY GOD, THE TWIST!!!! I did not see that coming, and at one point, i was like, that name sound familiar, but damn! I loved it. I actually yelled, "What?! No way!" Scared my cat. 10/10 definitely recommend.
3.5 but didn't round up. A few things left unanswered, which I wasn't a fan of. Overall, I liked the book and had us doing pretty good discussions/theories in our book club!
Revenge stories are some of my favorite, and this one is fantastic. Overall, once you get through the madness and twists, at its core, the story is actually quite sad. I can definitely understand the motivation for revenge, not condoning it, but definitely get it.
There were times when I was questioning my own sanity. I love books like this! I knew multiple times that I had cracked the code and knew exactly who was who and what was what....but I was so wrong! Toward the end, I had a decent idea where we were headed but was still pleasantly surprised with the ending overall.
The narrator was fantastic for this book. She definitely drew me into the story and had me experiencing the discomfort and dread of the characters. She had a pleasant tone, and I'm a sucker for the accent!
I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
I went into this one blind, and I should mention it's the audiobook version because the narrator's voice created some of my preconceptions about this book.
I thought I was getting some kind of YA adjacent "I know what you did last summer" slasher book. That is not what I got.
Instead I was pulled into a real world drama of bullying and isolation that had be fully invested. It's always the sign of a great writer if you're reading horror and you actually care enough for the characters that you're not just waiting to see how they die. I certainly got that experience from this book.
Im a relatively new father and I think that maybe I'm just adjusting to a new perspective on the world, but this story had me thinking, if someone did stuff like this to my kids... Ugh... I don't know what I'd do. That feeling is manufactured by design by Sarah and she does it with ease.
I'll definitely be taking the time to read more by this author.
Two seemingly separate lives and separate POV barrel towards the finale in this juggernaut. A great book. As soon as I finished it I wanted to start again... but I have too many on my TBR to allow this. I will definitely reread it at some point.
Sarah is becoming my favourite indie author. I have read and loved all her books ( apart from one which I am starting next ).
Just finished and I have to say Sarah tells a tale that keeps you wanting more. The way she ties the characters together from different perspectives was interesting. If you like good tales along the lines of Hitchcock then this one is worth checking out. I hope to read more from this other as she has a talent for hooking you and then providing an ending that doesn’t disappoint.
So many feelings going on right now. What an amazing book. I don’t even have words for it. If you have not read this yet, why not? Go find it, now. You won’t regret it, I promise.
This book was INTENSE!! I'll be honest, I think I worked it out early on but it was super fun judging myself and extra fun seeing how things did tie together in the end. Although I got one thing right, another thing absolutely shocked me. I think I said "What?!" out loud! Although the whole book was super good, I honestly think the author made this such a winner with that ending and all those twists / potential twists. So good!!
The author has some potential. She does an amazing job at making you visualize emotions and sensations. The plot, however, needs work. Without giving much away, the motives for the actual antagonists are unbelievable. It took away from the build the novel was creating. I was able to guess the “twist” halfway through the novel, but that did not deter me from reading. It was the inability to justify why they would do such a thing without evidence. This took me out of the book almost completely. I know this author also does look at reviews and I hope this isn’t a deterrent for future writing projects. I will likely return to see what else you write.
Holy Crap, this is a book. From the get-go with that detailed and gore filled torture scene in the prologue. Instantly shaking up the reader and grabbing you by the shoulders to command your attention. So, in this intense read, Sarah pulls us into two very immense storylines. Cameron is a school teacher who seems to have it all. Great friend circle, has his shit together and a great relationship with his partner Liz. Suddenly being stalked by this 6 foot tall Uncle Fester looking guy. Crypt texts and photos show someone being messed up and tortured. So the prologue is almost a taster of how we get here? I love those styles of story setup. Starting at what feels like the end and peaking the interest of the reader instantly or beginning with an action sequence from within the story. Then, going from the start to the part where the reader's journey began. Sarah gets insanely creative with her story. It also it takes a lot of creativity and talent to have two point of view stories going at the same time. As we start with Cameron in Chapter 1, then Savannah's story starts in Chapter 2.
On the other side of that, we have Savannah, who lives in a sorority house on campus. Incredibly shitty friends, who have more than once left her on a night out. But that's not the worst part, these bitches are leaving her to ODD on pills in an alley! and gaslighting her when she confronts them. Like I have never wanted to hit an imaginary character before but Penny and Gemma need a blood smack. Then the public humiliation which for her was the last straw as she moved into the new house and met Eli. From there things start looking up, so this part of the story does feel very Young Adult in nature as the horror element doesn't seem to come till later and feels somewhat tamer. Especially considering Cameron's story felt like a stalking tale with elements of thriller horror weaved in. The balance is incredibly well done, not like some where the back and forth gives you whiplash. The twists and turns these stories take is insane, Sarah is determined to throw you through the loop. As each character goes through their own life changing moments, including Cameron’s stalkers upping the anti. Then we have Savannah’s relapse which sends her spiralling. This is an incredibly well paced, action packed read that will keep any reader transfixed. But BLOODY HELL how amazingly well the stories come to that breathtaking ending. I had no idea that that ending was coming.
From start to finish that was an absolutely wild ride and I'm honestly still in awe of how it ended.
To start with, I really enjoyed the way the book was split between Savannah and Cameron, I love split POV and I feel like the nature of the story lent itself well to seeing both sides.
Plus, the writing within those chapters itself was just excellent, every chapter I finished I had to keep reading, I needed to know what happened next. It was as though every chapter had the perfect cliffhanger.
The first of the twists or shocks had me sitting up and goosebumps raising across my entire body it was that good!!!!
And then despite the remainder of the twists coming towards the end, it didn't feel as though they were just dropped in for the cheap thrills. You could almost trace back through the book and thread everything together.
It took me literally a few days to read this book, it was so so SO good!
Definitely a thrilling read and a deserved 5 stars.
I actually thoroughly enjoyed this one! The vibe the whole way through was disturbing, and some of the imagery was super creepy.
I do still have some unanswered questions regarding Savannah and who was blackmailing her, but for the most part this was a well rounded and shocking story.
I loved how the two POV’s told a very different story. I didn’t feel disappointed as I do sometimes when the POV shifts because what was happening in each instance was really interesting and unique, and the way it came together was not what I expected at all.
The ending felt a little unfinished to me, we as readers now know obviously who the culprit is, but the story hasn’t been closed off yet. Maybe there’s another book coming?
I can see how people probably guessed what was going on… I however do not have much foresight and didn’t realise until the end lol!
A good read. I’m glad I gave this author a chance.
Found You is an excellent thriller. The story is complex and crafted so well by the author. She drops the tiniest of hints here and there, that if you catch them will give you an idea of what is happening. But you won't be 100% sure if you're on the right trail. It's full of real-life issues as well; public humiliation via social media, alcoholism, having a stalker, being a duchebag, mean girls, etc. Our two MCs are both annoying, but that's OK. People are often annoying. Savannah couldn't make the right decision if she had only one option and Cameron is said duchebag mentioned above. Overall I enjoyed this story a lot and I recommend it for any thriller fan.
Another great book from this author. I figured out what was going on pretty early on but enjoyed watching it play out regardless. One thing I didn’t expect was that twist!
There is one thing that seemed to get forgotten about or more that I thought would be explained later on. Savannah received an email to a website showing what appeared to be of herself posing naked. Which is what had also been happening to the Cameron for the entire book. One of the other characters was the one to have been making the photos of Cameron so I thought she’d also end up being the one to do it to Savannah also. But that bit of the storyline never came to anything. Maybe if there’s another part to the story it will do. Who knows?!
Apart from that though I thoroughly enjoyed the books and look forward to more from Sarah in the future.

I truly enjoyed this book and stories following the two characters. Kept me reading wanting to know what would happen next and the ending.....mindblown by it all. I caught some.of the clues as it was drawing toward the end but some I didn't see coming which makes me love a book. Would truly love to see what happens more with El and Mitch. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a thriller! Amazing stories!
This was such a good book. I was sucked in at the beginning and couldn’t put it down! It’s more of a psychological thriller than a horror story. I was waiting for the horror to begin, but that was my misunderstanding. The unexpected twist at the end ties everything together so neatly. Highly recommend!
We have two POVs—Savannah and Cameron and for the majority of the book, are not sure how they relate to each other. Once things were revealed, I was disappointed, as I had guessed the most obvious thing which turned out to be true. Was hoping for something more twisty or mind blowing given the looong build up. The ending was too dark for my likings.
A slow burn to start, and I was confused and trying to find an answer on what was the connection between the two characters that share this book. Eventually toward the end, it was revealed with a huge drop. From then on, the story became a rolling ball of emotions and heavy feelings. I enjoyed every minute of it and I've read it in one sitting.
This is honestly one of the best revenge stories I’ve read so far. It took a really long time to come to fruition and was executed beautifully only for that shocking twist to make you say “no freaking way?!” Loved it!
I really enjoyed reading this book. A follow up sequel following Cameron's other friends would be a 👍 from me 😁. Sarah's style of writing is very engaging and I spent a couple of nights reading late into the night! She did not let her victim off lightly which I love, when reading a horror book! Will definitely read her 2nd book Don't Lie
Severely creepy amazingly written, read within a few hours could not stop reading, you have got to try this if you're into a bit of violence, erieness and creepy books
Another Sarah Jules that I COULD NOT put down! Although I guessed the ending, I did not guess the very last twist. For guessing part of it, I docked it one star. 😉
This book flicks between past and present and different perspectives, but ultimately it's a book of torturous revenge. It's an addictive, quick read which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had guessed a couple of the twists, but it was still fun to see how it all panned out in the end. Can't really say anything else without spoilers! Go check it out!
