“If we are single at 40, let's get married.” That's the pact Janice should have had with Ben, her best friend since high school. But she didn't because he was her best friend, and only her best friend. Honestly. Yeah, she thought he was sexy, he always made her laugh, and she could count on him for just about anything. But dating him? That was never a thought that crossed her mind. Ben tried rekindling his love with his ex-girlfriend, after years of being apart. She was beautiful, had a caring spirit, and was familiar. Oh, and she was the mother to his fourteen-year-old daughter. Trying with her wasn't right though. It didn't take long for him to realize, everything that was wrong with his ex, was right with Janice. But when he admits that to Janice, will she forego their friendship, in favor of more? Content This story includes details around pregnancy loss. I acknowledge that this detail may be difficult. I also encourage you to care for your safety and well-being.

It's Him was a lovely story about lifelong friends who should have already been married with five kids. Instead, they were finding their way to one another... Finally. Now.. I have one gripe with Amarya being allowed to manipulate her parents and nearly ruining a wonderful relationship in her teenage wake. Girl, she's lucky she was born in her time and not in the 60s. I loved this story, even with the spoiled brat included.
This was yet another amazing book by this author. She knows how to pen all the nuances and ups and downs of a relationship. This friends to lovers story was well written and showed just how important it is to be a friend before becoming lovers. With a friendship of over 25 years, Ben and Janice were able to elevate their friendship into romance and were able to recognize when they needed to take a step back from the romance to just be friends. I look forward to the next release from this author.
This book was my favorite of the series thus far. I glad Ben was brave enough to ask Janice on a date. I couldn't stand the fact that Ben's daughter was a road block for them, but I can understand when kids get things in their heads to want their parents together. I felt Janice pain when she miscarriage because that's the worst feeling in the world and I am talking from experiences. The ending of the story made it all better. I can't wait to see who's next....
I did enjoy Ben and Janice’s love story. It was sweet, best friends not realizing their friendship made them perfect lovers They went through their share of ups and downs a couple Iof them had me wondering if they would survive the fall out. ☺️ It is always fun to see what’s going on in Tuckerville
Although I did enjoy the book I have to admit there were sections in the book where it seemed rushed. Still an enjoyable read
Ever started reading and didn't want to stop? Well here is one of those books. You will definitely enjoy this one. I wanted to go to Janice and give her a good old fashioned "mama"talk. Wish there was more to the story though.
Such a great story. I was glad Ben and J, gave each other a chance. It's not every day you get to fall in love with your best friend and marriage him. I'm so glad the storyline allowed it to happen for them and being friends kept them together in the midst of everything.
Wow this was a trip of a lifetime 🥰. It took them twenty years to realize their forever but I think it was worth the wait. Ben and Janice but proved that when we truly get out of God’s way he will guide us to what is meant for us. Great friends to lovers to forever story 🥰
This book is my favorite so far of the season. This couple knew what they wanted once it was presented to them. I was happy there a wasn't lot of weird and unnecessary miscommunication like the first 3 books in the series. I hope books 5 and 6 are as good as this one.
What a great place from the first couple I read about. Now Janice and Ben I love it! I don't understand how they didn't see it everyone else seem to. Just a wonderful story I'm so happy. As always it's an absolute pleasure reading your books 🥰.
Friends before lovers is always a great foundation. The story show that sometime what we are looking for in a mat is who we have friend zoned. Everyone around you see it but you
Best friend love is the best love! Courtney was most definitely hiding something from Janice. I applaud Ciara for her maturity in regards to Ben & Janice's relationship. Amarya was something else but most teens are. I love Maria!
It's Him is Janice and Ben's story. I loved these two so hard. The best friends to lovers story I've read in a while. Emotional, loving, sensual, funny and heartwarming. Greetings from Tuckerville Book 4 is amazing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Janice and Courtney's relationship was a little strange. Ben and Janiece were great together. Ben's daughter Amarya was working my nerves! Glad they got their HEA. Book 5 is calling me!
The baker and the barber… too cute! Emotional ride there for a minute. Dropped a tear or two. Love the way you weave previous characters into the storyline. Very good read!
I didn't know there for a moment if Ben and Janice would ever get there stuff together, but to be friends first it a very special thing. This was a great book!
Closer to a 3.75. I am really enjoying the series. I would say I would have enjoyed this book more if she left out the long distance relationship or leaned into it more. It was really really pointless and served no real purpose. The book could have have just been about the friends to lovers. I really joked that part of the story. The ending felt a little rushed I had to go back and see if I skipped some pages.
Side note: why when I started reading this series I thought thir weren't a y single couples in this little city. So as the series keep going I'm like where these people come from. Lol
I really enjoyed this book, heck I’ve enjoyed the entire series. I want to pack up and move to Tuckerville lol. I highly recommend reading this entire series, you won’t be disappointed!!
