Billy Lou Whitley is as staple to the town of Piney, Arkansas, as the pine trees are to the forest, but lately she’s grown discontent in her hometown. She’d lived a full life in Piney, gone to school, married young, raised her family. But now that she is a widow with an oversized house and empty rooms, her heart is wishing for something new and different.
Charlie Edwards loved cars. He’d spent most of his life tinkering, restoring, and even building a few from the ground up. Some would even say he spent his life with his head in the hood of a car too much and let life pass him by, and Charlie was okay with that… until Billy Lou Whitley waltzes into his life shouting orders, voicing opinions, and stirring his heart.
Can Billy Lou embrace the possibility of a new future?
And can Charlie open his life and heart to possibilities he’d never considered?
I sat here for about five minutes trying to think of something prolific to write, and all I came up with was that first sentence. However, despite it being simple and understated, it's a genuine response. I appreciate all who read and listen to my books. And for those who rate and review it, a special thanks to you. Happy Reading! Katharine

I'm really enjoying this series, by an author I'd never read before until I read the 1st book in this series.
Having settled into their small cabin in Piney, Arkansas, Reesa has found her soul mate in Theo and Clare, her daughter is so happy with their new family.
This book centers around Billy Lou, Theo's Grandma and owner of the cabin Reesa and Clare rent. Having lost her husband, Jerry a few years previously, Billy Lou still misses him immensely, so when Charlie, and ols school friend arrives back in Piney after inheriting his family home, she finds it very hard to cope with.
Charlie decided to renovate his old house and move on, but his father had left the place in a dilapidated state, far worse than he expected. He sets to and starts clearing the property but fate lends a hand which brings him face to face with Billy Lou, the girl he loved in school but she only had eyes for Jerry.
Of course, the book includes the regular characters, Reesa, Clare, Theo, Jamie and the handyman Kason.
I couldn't put this book down, the story captivated me from the beginning and I'm really looking forward to the next book being released.
The books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.
This was a really great story about a mom and daughter and how they made themselves happy. This mom, Ressa, and daughter Carla, traveled, until they came to Pinney, Arkansas. They rented a cabin, and met people in this small town. So much more to come, enjoy.
All of Mrs. Hamilton's books are good, clean reading. This one doesn't disappoint either. It's a great story of how people can overcome things and disappointments from their past and find love again.
This is what Hallmark movies are made of! Love the storyline and enjoyed reading every bit. Will definitely continue the series and others by the author.
