Tiffany Gibbons, a single mother of four children, recently inherited a home from her deceased grandmother in the Ridgely Square community of Baltimore City. While attempting to help her best friend, Sasha Greene, along with developing a relationship with her estranged aunt, Gina Simms, Tiffany finds herself on a dangerous collision course with a local gang called the Alphas and a crooked unit of police called the Narcotics and Firearms Taskforce lead by Detective Marshawn Bell.
What a page turner! I really enjoyed this story. It was very easy to read and encouraged me to keep going, the plot was very compelling. I am a person who has suffered through a lot of grief and I could truly feel the pain within some of these characters. Very well done. The antagonists were infuriating! Berkley captured the corrupted system well.
