When a typical day turns into an unexpected meeting with Kitty, Princeton quickly realizes he’s got something good right in front of him. Something he doesn’t want to let go. As a ghost from his past waltzes in without warning, threatening to take away Kitty, Princeton knows nothing will happen to Kitty and her family as long as he’s breathing. Kitty may not be blood, but she’s family now, and the Banachis do anything for the family. Anything.
Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and to the place they now call home. Winter spends her days writing happily ever afters, and her nights being a karate mom hauling her son to practices and tournaments. She also has an addiction to anything MC related, puppies, and baking.
I just loved this one. I have been waiting forever for a series about this family and its fucking amazing. I need the next book to come out already after the way this one ended.
So excited for more from Winter! This first book in the Banachi Family shows us a new group of characters still in the MC universe that I’ve come to love as a reader. After Kitty’s car is stolen by her father, Princeton is tasked with finding it, and the more he’s around her, the more he is interested and can’t deny the chemistry between them. While she is against him helping her, determined to make it on her own and resolve her problems herself, he doesn’t really give her the chance and she starts to find that it’s better when she has help. I loved the witty banter between these two, and I also loved Kitty’s father, who while his health isn’t doing well, he still adds another comical layer to the storyline. Per usual, the end of the book has me on the edge of my seat with the cliffhanger and wanting more and asking all the questions. I can’t wait to see where these characters go! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
His Reward was the first book in the Banachi Family series by Winter Travers. It was a spin-off from her Devil’s Knights MC original and Second Generation series.
I thoroughly enjoyed both characters, Princeton and Kitty. Kitty was feisty, independent and fun. Her dad was awesome too! And Princeton was alpha, loyal and protective. I also enjoyed the storyline and the inclusion of the main characters from Travers Devil’s Knights series. All in all, it was a quick and enjoyable read. It ended with a suspenseful segue for the next book in the series and I can’t wait!
Winter Travers ! Why you hate me Boo 😭. That ending ! What the frack balls woman . I can't wait till January next year for Murphy's book that's just cruel and unusual punishment 😭.
Once again Winter has given us yet another story that's kept this reader wanting more .
Was great to see an insight into Princeton and Kitty the chemistry was amazing between these two characters and I loved Larry , kitty's dad . Meg and Cyn also make an appearance and those two just run the world and suck everyone in around them with their wit , and antics . Loved this book and I'm looking forward to more
His Reward is Travers first book in her new series Banachi Family. If you have read Travers other series you know about Banachi and his goons. If you haven't read her other series I highly recommend reading them. Back to His Reward, Kitty is definitely Princeton's reward. In Travers fashion I laughed until I was crying. The banter between these characters is not like anything else you will ever read. The tangent's that happen when Meg and Cyn around are some of best I have read. Princeton is one of Leo's goons, he is a nice guy who sometimes does bad things. Kitty is a women, works from home, lives with her father to help him. She has her car stolen and Princeton is tasked to helping her. She is totally against his help, but he is very persistent. Their relationship is a slow burn, with laughter, crazy person stalking them and a father who has early stages of dementia. We get appearances from Meg, Cyn, Bristol, Greer, King and others. Travers keeps things light with laughter and love but packs a punch at the end that will have you on the edge of your seat. I have come to realize with Travers stories, she will always leave you with just enough details so you have to see what happens next. Let me tell you I can't wait for book two. Happy Reading 📚
Princeton works for the Banachi family as a security guard of sorts and he takes his job very seriously. He has a bond with the other guards and his boss, Leo, that is like a made family and so strong they are like brothers. When he first sees Kitty he is curious about this woman and her situation gives him the opportunity to figure her out. Kitty is hesitant about Princeton and him helping her in any way because she knows who he works for and isn’t sure is he’s a good guy or not, but when Princeton makes it his mission to spend more time with her it doesn’t take too long for Kitty to see how amazing he is. With a lot of action taking place and a lot of characters coming and going I never once was confused or felt like I had no idea what was going on and I loved that. Princeton knew what he wanted and went for it even though knowing his lifestyle isn’t for the wealthy he hopes Kitty is strong enough to handle it,but with forces coming out of the wood work to attack them can Kitty handle this life or will she walk away? The steam and adventure this story takes you on is fun and intense. The ending had me shocked when they get that message from the bad guy and now I have to dive into Murphy’s story because I need to know how things will go.
Princeton & Kitty meet in a very original way, and no, I'm not going to say how because you just need to read it for yourselves since it did make me giggle a tiny bit even though it was also emotional at the same time. The sparks are flying between them from the jump, so it wasn't long before they acted upon that chemistry because when you know you know. Of course while it was dangerous to her person when his past came for him, it also made sure they would be around each other for those sparks to ignite quickly. So yeah, there's quite a bit of heat on top of the suspense that had the twists coming in hot so I was definitely on the edge of my seat. To round all that goodness out is the humor that had me laughing like crazy because of the perfect supporting cast with Kitty's father, Larry, fitting in perfectly, and it's all tied up with a witty banter bow. His Reward is fast paced so it was very easy for me to finish in one sitting, and now I'm waiting impatiently for more in this series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
And that is all you need to do, hold on tight and enjoy this exceptionally good ride in this mouthwatering novella to kick off the Banachi Family mafia series, with cameo's from the Devil Knights and their hilarious ole ladies, this could not be anything but a winner.
A runaway car at a petrol station is the start of a delicious romance journey for Kitty and Princeton, although not a Banachi by name, he is part of the mafia family, but before they even get to a first date, Kitty is thrown into the dangerous Banachi world, it will take one tough woman to be with Princeton, but I think Kitty is up for the job, the chemistry is perfect.
I loved that Williow Travis not only gave us wonderful MCs, but she gave us a remarkably good support cast who will get stories of their own, his was such a great start to a must-read mafia romance for 2023.
This spin off from the Devil's Knights is perfection!! Winter Travers has a way of creating characters that are loved from the beginning. They may be a bit quirky and fun, yet there's just something about them that shows their heart, their strengths, and meshes so well with the other characters we've fell in love with over the years. Princeton is great, he's a protector, and you can feel that he cares. Kitty is caring for her dad, she's sweet, makes me smile, and the connection she has with Princeton is hot! I loved them both, adored her dad and how he fits right in with the big family! There's nail biting moments, and of course a set up for the next book that leaves you gasping! I loved every second and will be counting down for more.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
His Reward is the first book in the new series Banachi Family by Winter Travers. If you have read Travers other series you know that you can expect a lot of action, and laughter, and now that is being brought to the Banachi's. If you haven't read Winter Travers before, then you should. Really. You're missing out. In His Reward, we have the story of Princeton and Kitty. Princeton is one of Leo's goons, he is a good guy who has to do bad things, and Kitty is doing the best that she can to help her father. When she needs help, Princeton is the one that is there to help her. Their love story isn't an insta love, but it does have laughter, a crazy person stalking them and so many family issues. We get appearances from Meg, Cyn, King and others, and Travers keeps things light with laughter and love but will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. Now to wait for book 2!
Winter has once again given me a story and characters that I couldn't put down. Princeton and Kitty are opposites that attract. When a chance meeting has him helping her in any way possible, we soon see that this big protective man may be smitten with the lovely and sassy Kitty. He has no idea that she is about to give him a run for his money. Kitty is independent, a caregiver to her dad, trying to do it all and now she could really use some help. When she finds herself in a crazy predicament Princeton halts his plans and jumps right in to help her. When their brief connection places Kitty in harm's way Princeton finds a way to protect, provide and show her his feelings in the best way. Loved the supporting cast and I can't wait to see where we are taken in this new series. ~~Michele McMullen ~~
I am so excited that Ms. Travers decided to give us the Bianchi’s Series. I have loved these funny yet alpha mafia men since they entered the Devil’s Knights MC Series. Oh and what fun it was to see Bristol, Meg and Cyn and all their craziness and of course their MC hubbies - who all make an appearance in the book.
This is Princeton and Kitty’s story and what an absolute amazing start to this series their story is. Full of sass, banter, action and of course romance. Can Princeton convince a small town girl who just wants to take care of her aging father to take a chance on him and his somewhat gray area of a lifestyle? Or will she bolt at the first sign of trouble?
Excellent read and this reader can’t wait til book 2, as the author left us with a shocking glimpse of what’s ahead!
I enjoyed this spin off from the Devil's Knights. I was hoping we would get to see each of the Banachi men fall to their knees when they finally met their match. Princeton and Kitty's story is sweet and fits the both of them. When they first meet Kitty is left crying and Princeton lends a helping hand. Outside events keep placing them in each others radar and their story plays out from there. There is an outside force that has been threatening the family for years. When it comes knocking on Kitty's door Princeton does not think twice about making sure that she and her father are kept safe. While being under his protection she gets to meet the Devil's Knights and we ALL know how much fun that would be. I do need the next book because this does kinda end with a teeny tiny huge cliffy and I need to know what is going to happen next.
His Reward by Winter Travers 5 stars due 9/29/23 Princeton & Kittie
Just because the others are finding women and settling doesn't mean he is going to do so. Then Kittie gets in a jam and he becomes her rescuer--not that she is very accepting. So begins the two. Will the beginning be the end when a traitor steps into their lives?
Just like with the MC the two groups work together to catch and deal with the former teammate. Will the enemy succeed in his evil plans? Or will they finally take care of the pain in their lives?
Some are new characters--some are old friends. The humor, and teasing, help the story move along and set up the first book in the series. I'm ready for more.
His Reward is book one in the Banachi family series. If you have read one of her MC series then you have met this Mafia family already; if not you are in for a reward haha. Princeton is tasked with staying behind to help Kitty, when her dad leaves with her car. She may be a stranger for now, but the twist on how they become connected is jaw dropping is all I can or will say. The cliffhanger at the end has us wanting more of this mafia family. The opposites of these two is spot on, the witty banter and how well her dad is taking with his health is heartwarming too. You never know how much you miss secondary characters until you see them in a book. I recommend this series if you enjoy a mafia read but not too dirty.
This was an entertaining quick read, and I enjoyed the chemistry between Princeton and Kitty (and her dad is precious lol). My biggest pet peeve with this story is that it features characters from previous series by the author, and if you haven't read those stories, you're not gonna understand some of the references and characters that are in this particular book (can authors provide that type of info in future books please? Or at least a list of where to find the books on other characters). Since I didn't know these characters are in other books, I didn't understand the deal with the adversary and especially why he targeted Kitty. But! It was still a good read and I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.
You want some chaos? Danger? Heat? Love? Family? Then you’re in the right place. Kitty and Princeton may not seem like a great match on paper, but papers aren’t always right anyway. And Princeton is absolutely the man for Kitty. Even with things on red alert around them, they manage to be quite normal. Well, as normal as a mafia guy and a woman caring for her dad can be. And as normal as they can be with a chef, other mafiosos with hearts of gold cloaked in morally grey lives, and an MC as friends.
This is an excellent start to the Bananchi series, and I’m sure that every book will bring us one step closer to Leo finally getting his woman. I can’t wait!
His Reward was actioned packed, dangerous and full of love! I was intrigued right from the start and continued to hang on every word! Princeton & Kitty had fantastic chemistry, awesome banter & sweet and sexy moments that made me love them even more as the story went on! Kitty’s dad was the sweetest & Duke was adorable! I loved this mash up of your new Mafia world and the MC guys we were already smitten with. By the way, Bristol always makes me laugh and I need her to come cook for me ASAP! Your creative play on names was awesome! IYKYK! The ending….GAH! I know a guy! Call me! Needless to say I’ll be Princeton’s reward any day!
I am still mad! I am still pouting, and I don’t care! I am not ok with having to wait until January to get the next book in this series! I laughed until tears were falling, and my heart loved all the action. Princeton and Kitty fit into Winter’s magical world flawlessly! What I absolutely love about Winter’s books is that the characters all make appearances in everyone’s book. Meg and Cyn, I have no need to say anymore! If you honestly have not read anything by Winter, you are seriously missing out on some of the best series I have ever had the honor of reading! I will be sitting over here, pouting and being mad until January when I can get the next book.
Princeton and Kitty were so cute! I adore this author, she has been a favorite of mine for ages and she never disappoints! Kitty's life is a little chaotic and stressful. In a moment of extreme emotion, Princeton steps in to help her. Thinking it was a fluke, she is sure she will never see him again. Princeton doesn't understand the pull he feels to Kitty but he doesn't fight it very hard. I love the ease of connection between them. It feels effortless, like they have always known each other. Such a joy to read. I laugh every time I get to the end of WT's stories, that last chapter cliff-hanger teaser for the next book, it truly delights me.
This is the first in a new series, and this is Princeton and Kitty’s story. When Kitty is in a sticky situation, Princeton comes to her rescue. These two are the perfect match for each other, and I loved reading about some of my favourite couples. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and an action packed, emotional roller coaster, with undeniable chemistry, family, humor, witty banter, danger, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, tragic, and twisted, steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Kitty is not having a good day when a quick trip to the gas station takes a turn and now, she is on a search for her car and her father. She is independent and no damsel in distress, but Princeton is determined to help her whether she thinks she wants it or not.
Princeton is both intrigued and infuriated by Kitty, but he is determined to help her any way he can. When he finds out she is danger there is nothing he won’t do to keep her and her father safe and that is when the fun really begins.
The banter between them was humorous as they tried to deny their feelings but everyone in their lives know they belonged together, and I enjoyed seeing them realize it as well.
Princeton and Kitty had a chance meeting at a gas station. Princeton was pumping gas for his boss Leo Banachi head of the mafia family. I read the prequel with Greer and Apollo and it was great. We have an idea of how Apollo and Greer are doing in this story, they are married with children and Apollo is who he is and they are still madly in love. Princeton is hoping that after meeting Kitty and having to protect her that their chemistry and pull toward one another will end as well as Apollo and Greer. Loved this story and we still have the MC club with King and Meg and Cyn in this story. I am loving the mix of the two series.
Ah, the Banachis! Glad to be back with this zany group of bodyguards to the mob. They're so fun!! I also enjoy the cameos by our Knights crew. 💜💜💜
Princeton & Kitty get together in a unique damsel in distress way, just as he's thinking an HEA isn't in the cards. I love their banter! Also love Kitty's dad - he adds another burst of interest to the story. And Princeton's protection extends to both Kitty & her dad.
As always, the ending makes me excited for the next couple's adventure!!
First let me say I love Winter Travers. She has a quirky writing style which brings humor to her books. I reviewed His Reward as an ARC. I really enjoyed this book but I felt that the heroine didn't have as much depth as she could have. She was too accepting of her situation and fell into a relationship with the hero (who was the cause of her problems) within a short period of time. Despite that, the book flowed easily and was very enjoyable. I actually would give this book 4.5 stars if I could.
We meet Princeton and see that he would rather be anywhere but where he is and what his instructions are. This woman who is distraught really doesn't need his help, he would really like to be with his Boss. Once the characters meet up and start working together the electricity is very strong. Add in the angst of an enemy making it known he is aware of the environment and we have close proximity. Kitty and Princeton are wonderful together once she is in his house, especially while she is talking with Meg, Cyn and Bristol it does get very, very comical. What a tease for Murphy's story.
This first book in the Banachi Family series has you hooked and catching up with a few old faces. Princeton and Kitty's story is filled with just enough drama and grit along with a side of witty banter to not only have you on the edge of your seat but laughing at times too. The chemistry between these two radiates off the pages giving you an extra reward with their story. Their story is all you want and need in a mafia romance with just enough rom com to give you a little lightness to balance out the heavy.
This is a great lead up to the off shoot of her MC series. The characters are brothers by life and as close as real blood brothers. Princeton was bored and was on his way to Chicago with his friend and boss Leo. When he sees Kitty and helps her find her father, who has the early stages of Dementia. They have a sorta rubbing the wrong way, until they get to know each other. Kitty wasn’t looking for more complications in her life but here came Princeton and the Banachi family. She tried to resist but wasn’t strong enough. They fall in love and its to the amusement of the whole family and allies.
OMG!! Five huge stars for this read!! I love this author and all things Devil's Knights MC and their extended family. And Leo Banachi is part of that family. This book however is about one of his men, Princeton, although the thread through this, I feel will run through this series and I am here for it all. Someone is not happy with Leo and those that work closely with him! And I absolutely love Kitty and her dad! I was on the edge of my seat! My heart in my mouth. I absolutely loved the build up between Princeton and Kitty! My heart is very happy!!
