Jealous Psycho #10

Jealous Serial Killer

Control. It’s my favorite word because I always keep it at the top of my mind, striving to maintain it in all aspects of life. But she’s taken that from me. Not with a word or an action. Just from the sight of her. She’s gorgeous, with a magnetic pull that tries to guide me right to her. I want to own her, possess her, lie in bed with her on top of me so as much of her skin as humanly possible is touching mine. Keep her in my home and never let her go. But as much of a sick man as I am, something inside me pumps the breaks. I would never hurt her. Never. She is an angel sent from heaven, a gift. And she will be mine. But will I put our budding relationship in danger by continuing my path of destruction? I stalk the night looking for the dregs of society, anyone who would hurt a woman deserves the punishment I dole out. But can I keep her in the dark while I let my dark side roam free?

• M/F Dark instalove standalone romance
• Free via Kindle Unlimited
• 149 Kindle pages (ends at 96%)
• Dual POV, 1st Person

🔪 MMC: Sam Sparks(37), air traffic controller/serial killer. Tall, muscular, bronzed skin, dark hair, light eyes.
🔪 FMC: Erica Watson(21), college student. No physical description besides: swan-like neck, delicate shoulders… and she looks just like his dead mother.🤔
🔪 Setting: Los Angeles
🔪 Safety & Tropes: Dark, insta, age gap, ott jpo MMC, dual virgin, no condoms, breeding kink. No separations. No OW. Mild OM - FMC isn’t interested. HEA
🔪 CWs: (incomplete)

I expected to read a dark novella about an OTT jpo serial killer. And it was. But it’s also a story about a ratty MMC slowly cleaning up his act. He reminded me a bit of Mel Gibson in Conspiracy Theory. Here, this meant he had a lot of unattractive qualities for a large portion of the book.

• It opens with the MMC saying this about his psychiatrist: “… name-calling judgmental bitch … thinks she’s all high and mighty, that she can judge me with that Karen voice, talking to me like I’m a damn retarded baby?” Um, I know this is a dark romance and character arcs gotta arc - but this is just unnecessarily offensive.
• He spots the FMC in a bar, with some creeper hanging on her. He follow Creeper outside to murder him, and thinks this: “I have a raging erection, half for her and half for what I’m about to do… He will be the first to die in a different way, in a way that’s exciting me so much I’m damn near ready to come in my pants.” Listen, I’m totally fine with him killing men who prey on women, but I don’t wanna hear about murderboners.
• He kills the guy, partly by then takes FMC to his tiny windowless studio that smells so bad she nearly gags. Why does it smell? Because…
• He’s not a very smart serial killer. "… even the stench of the bodies I placed between the walls in the unrented apartments in this building couldn’t deter her. Why between the walls and not the crawl space? I want to smell that smell, to be constantly reminded of who the boss of this fucking place is.
• FMC turns away from him in her sleep, and he contemplates several painful/humiliating “punishments” - although he decides against them. I think this was part of his emotional growth, but trust - the vibe was not hot.

By this point, I had a hard time finding Sam attractive. To be fair, he wants to be what she needs, and actually starts getting it together for her. He does a lot of swoony stuff: makes her his world, kills for her, treats her to a fancy restaurant & penthouse suite, etc. Whether you find the spice/dirty talk hot or cringe is a matter of perspective - for me it was a bit of both. Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

Sam was a true blue serael killer...with a heart. Who knew!?!?? This story actually made me think about the old controversy about nature vs nuture. I think this proves it a combination of both. Sam is an extreme that found his forever in Erica...a woman that if he hadn't been out that would have been abuse and used by a more unsavory person.

Erica was a simple girl trying to just make in the world and ended up meeting Sam by fate or planned....who knows but in the end it was perfect.

S/N: I'm glad he made that Det. Dawson pay...he was starting to wear on my last nerve since he had no information or evidence...just a hunch but when you start messing with family...oh well.

Hands down good from the first word!.

Two broken people come together to form two whole people.

I liked this story. I also had some issues with it. It was entertaining and enjoyable although there was violence, discussion of former violence, etc. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Erica was very intelligent and street smart but still sweet. She didn’t try to pretend like she was important to people that she knew really didn’t care one way or another about her. Sam was over the top. He was protective, possessive, and more than willing to take care of any and all threats to Erica and their life together. Sam knew that Erica was his as soon as he saw her. Erica was excited to be around Sam and she enjoyed the way that he treated her. The relationship between the two of them was quick but pretty good and a big reason for me wanting to rate this 3.5 stars. The way that Sam had cleaned up before Erica was really hard for me to wrap my head around. Ultimately, between the disposal techniques and his brief dilemma about “punishing” Erica made me feel icky enough that I couldn’t give a 4 or higher. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book as you may not have the same issues that I had.

Wow the detail that went into the mindset of our serial killer was intense and deep. There is so much going on with Sam but you can’t help loving him. He is fiercely protective to the point of murder. He is intensely protective to the point of stalking. I loved how his killer side warred with his lover side. He wanted to play with sweet Erica but he didn’t want to hurt her. That mental struggle was real and incredibly well described and written in this book. I also loved the detail that went into Sam to make himself a better man and hide the things of his past so that nothing will ever take him from Erica’s side. This book was intense and I loved it. The steam in this book was also really unique and different. Sam really worked to make sure Erica felt cared for and desired above all else. The scene in the alley was especially hot and their first time together was scorching. I also really liked the ending of this book and where the future shows them to be.

This is part of the Jealous Psycho series each book can be read in under an hour or so as a standalone with a crazy sexy and the girl who captures is obsession. Sam sexy as all get out with two personalities traffic controller and cruel vengeful killer both of the sides are a tab bit crazy but his childhood kind of lead him to have the two create one personality to deal with the trauma and finding until her. Erica sweet out for the night when some guys start to harass her meeting a sweet guy who isn’t going to allow it and he just happen to be the perfect target for the crazy side to his personality. The attraction is instant, insane, and the magnetic pull between the two of them grows every minute they are around each other but when she realizes he has two personalities will she still want him, will he be honest about his childhood why he is the way he is, and can they find happiness?.

Another great story in the Jealous Psycho series and also the last book. This is the story of Erica and Sam. Erica decides to go to a bar and celebrate her 21st birthday, she can't enjoy long because she is harassed by a man. Fortunately Sam is there and he comes to her aid and he decides to protect her and keep her safe . Anyone who dares to hurt her or anyone else who needs protection. You don't want Sam on your bad side. This book was slightly different from the other parts, but still wonderfully written and the characters and their characters fit the storyline. This series by Lena Little and also this last book is definitely a must read.

Wow this story made me think all kind of things. From awesome to a teeny tiny bit disgusted, to in awe and made me rooting for the serial killer too 😉 Sam works as an air traffic controller and his second job is being a revenging serial killer. He gets rid of men that threaten/violate women. One night out he sees Erica being ambushed and as soon as he helped her he just knows she is his One. He falls hard and fast and now has to juggle his revenge adventures and getting Erica to fall in love with him🥰 Awesome story that grabbed me from page one with a great and a bit bizarre HEA ☺️ Instalove, steamy, romantic, age gap, double virgins (I love that 🥰🥰), a whole bunch of TWs(be aware of the content, before reading❗) and with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍

Sam (H37) has two sides to his life: air traffic controller, and his hidden, dark, vengeful killer one. He wasn't born a killer, but rather the tragic killings of his mother and other women by his father awoke a need in him to exact revenge on men who mistreat women. Erica (h21) comes into his life and there's a connection between the two. Derek finds himself stepping up to protect Erica from men who would do her harm. As the two get to know one another, things become very hot and intense as they explore their passion, even as Sam tries to keep his secret from Erica. Love Bojana and Penelope! Hot and steamy OMYW serial killer dark romance quickie!

Sam is not just a serial killer, he desires to fight injustice that the system lets fall thru the cracks. He is out one night when he sees her for the first time, there is a guy that will not leave her alone. He has seen him around, he is a predator where women are concerned. Sam is not going to let this girl be another victim.

Erica is drunk, there is something about Sam she feels she can trust. She goes home with him and passes out. As the relationship flourishes, there others that try to stand the way of their happiness, Sam will do what is necessary.

This story is twisted and steamy.

Amazing story. This is a different story than what Lena Little usually writes it feels as if you are branching out. Sam is his own judge, jury and executioner when it comes to me that disrespect women. His childhood wasn't the greatest and watching your father murder your mother would sorta freak you out. He sees Erica and knows that she's the right woman for him. First he has to get rid of the scumbag that's trying to pick her up. Erica has had a similar life like Sam but not so harsh. If she learns his secret will she leave him? I enjoyed the story.

I have loved this series. I have read all of the previous 9 books. I tried to read this book but only got about half way through. I just could not go along with this story. I’m giving it 3 stars because I know the series and it’s not that the writing is bad it’s just me and my issues with the story. I would definitely recommend this series but I personally don’t recommend this book. But again it’s personal preference and this story just wasn’t for me.

ealous Serial Killer was a very interesting read by Lena Little. Sam is used to exercising control in all aspects of his life. His traumatic childhood has left him living two different lives with one being as a serial killer. His control is snapped when he lays eyes on Erica when she is being harassed at a local bar. He knows immediately that she belongs to him and no one will ever keep her from him. Will she learn of his secret life and can he convince her they belong together?.

Well, that’s pretty fucked up.

I enjoyed reading this, although there were some grammar mistakes like they said they were getting burritos but the scene ended up with tacos. Some plot holes were also there like what happened to Bojana? What about the other detective? I guess the MMC’s just too good to get away with all of the crimes. I’d say he’s not born to kill, but made because of his father. This also might be the first in this series wherein the first letter of the names of both MCs don’t match. 3.5 stars!

This was a really good book and I really enjoyed it. Sam and Erica were great together even if Sam seemed a little OTT with the jealousy and protectiveness (that's just the way that he is). If you are looking for an OTT book with steam and a fantastic HEA with a little bit everything, then you need to read this book.

Will Sam's intensity scare Erica?

I always look forward to a new Lena Little book & "Jealous Serial Killer" - Sam & Erica's story did not disappoint. Sam & Erica's attraction is like an invisible thread pulling them together. Sam is very intense & the words jealous & psycho are appropriate.
Definitely a 5 star read.

The author has given us a heart pounding older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Sam and Erica and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages vigilante justice, obsession and steam. The story is a bit darker than the typical Lena Little story.

Just wow!

I've been reading Lena Little for a while now. Usually they're a quick read with smut, typically instalove. But this one was darker, still instalove but he doesn't change who he is. I wasn't expecting it but it was amazing. Loved it. It gave more of a background as well and the plot more alive in my head.

It was something off the charts that made me want to reread this story again. I loved the characters and the way they came together. He was a little crazy but she needed that and his protectiveness in her. It was a great story and loved the whole thing.

Like Woah….

He sure was the sexiest and craziest person I’ve read about. I knew he killed people but eat them??? Sam really loved Erica, and she loved him unconditionally. Even after her spider senses went wild, she ignored everything. The son of Sam and the silence of the lambs were a great reference

Authentic Psycho

I really likes how real Sam is. So many hot obsessive psycho violent bad boys in books are just surface level characters. This really got into the mind of what Sam was thinking and why he is the way he is. He is loved and accepted for who he is. It's actually quite refreshing. I'm only sad the ending was far too soon, I want more characters like Sam.
