The Holiday Swap

Rate this book
**Catch the US Christmas movie adaptation airing now on UPTv!**
Another festive romance novella from the USA Today bestselling author of SOMETHING FROM TIFFANY'S & more. Ally can’t wait for Christmas and a catch up with best friend, Lara. Shame that she has to fly all the way down to Small Town Central where her friend now lives with her family.
Ally travels light and that’s exactly how she likes it. A place for everything and everything in its place, and since her best friend has more clothes than Saks, she only needs to bring the basics. Which is why she’s frustrated when she’s about to board the aircraft and it’s so busy that the attendant insists all remaining carry-on luggage needs to be stowed.

She ends up sleeping through most of the flight, and blearily fighting her way through the holiday crowds to the terminal carousel, Ally scoops up her luggage and makes her way to the arrivals area, where her best friend is ready and waiting. But back at Lara’s house when she goes to unpack her phone charger, she realises that something is wrong. On the outside, this bag looks exactly like hers, but inside there’s a pile of stuff she doesn’t recognise - guy stuff; cosy cashmere sweaters, books and some very nice aftershave.
This is obviously not her bag. Is there a way for Ally get it back to its rightful owner and more importantly, retrieve her own luggage in time for the holidays?

Interesting perspective

I really like how the story unfolded, and how each character has their own story and reasons for doing things. However, the story really wasn’t for me in the long run. I lost interest often on throughout the book and I found myself not super satisfied with the ending. But I didn’t joy it to a point and think that some people would definitely love the story.

I fully enjoyed this book, again a good clean romance. This Author is in no way dull, she makes subtle twists and turns, one minute the characters are down in the dumps and the next they are flying high. I have not come across this Author before, I am so glad I have found her. I just know she will go far. Thank you Ella for an enjoyable read. Blessings Ann

Couldn’t get into

I just couldn’t get into this story, maybe too many characters to follow all at once? I tried several chapters but just when I had thought I was on track the character or names changed and didn’t quite know who the main character was,

What a delightful little story this was. I’m not usually one for short stories, as always find them never long enough. But despite that, I truly did enjoy this one, well written and a very unique storyline I thought. Loved the characters and the setting, prefect for a quick read.

2.5 stars, rounded up for Goodreads

You know, I was really enjoying this one. It reminded me so much of the movie Serendipity, which I love.
And then it just ended SO ABRUPTLY! I literally said WTF?! That was so disappointing.

Another piece of writing stressing on the old tale prejudice of how dimwit, shallow, stubborn, and narrow minded women are still seen.

A lovely book for lockdown

What a refreshing change, no swearing or sordid sex, something a good well written book doesn't need., Enjoy it as much as I did.
