The good, the bad, the new and the different

This road trip is a great way to get to know Easton and Ivy, we see Easton's protective streak more than once as he battles to keep Ivy protected. Unfortunately he also has moments of being an ass and it is him that Ivy needs protection from, it is these moments that make it difficult to let Easton sweep you off your feet. Which is sad because for the most part he is a sexy, hot, growly Alpha who will melt your panties with a single look!
I was a little disappointed with the ending, it felt rushed, we have spent the whole trip hearing about both jobs, the whole reason for the trip, the unknown, the questions and all this is dismissed with a single sentence in one of the final paragraphs. I understand it is about the journey and finding each other but it feels a little 'Huh? Is that it? Well what about?'

I felt a little lost in this story. It really didn’t seem like a Christmas story. Also some parts were just weird to me, I love a good Fern Fraser story but this one didn’t move me that much.

Ivy (h) and Easton (H) meet in a bar when they’re both stranded due to a flight delay. They’re attracted to one another and while Ivy would be happy with a brief fling, Easton wants more even as he holds back which frustrates Ivy. Their travel plans continue to overlap when they end up sharing a ride together and their close proximity means things heat up even more. Sweet romantic quickie with a hope of more to come.

I really enjoyed this one, the storyline was alright, it was a quick read. I have read several of this authors books but it's suppose to be an enemies to lovers rom-com. I just wasn't getting the enemies to lovers!

Easton and Ivy meet when they are at the same bar, but he seen her when they were on the same airplane. Easton watches as a few men try to hit on Ivy, then he approaches her with the same intent. Ivy is attracted to Easton, but she's a virgin. They. play a little pool and when Ivy heads to the restroom one of the men that hit on her early tries to attack her, Easton finds her rattled. He goes after the man that attacked her, and Ivy has to get him to stop. They leave the bar and find out they are at the same hotel the airport set them up in. They head to a room, and are on each other as soon as they enter. Easton pleasures Ivy but when he finds out she's a virgin he doesn't want to take it any further, he has a job lined up that he can't have anyone depending on him. The next morning they head to the airport and are on the same flight, Easton sees Ivy but she never sees him. When they arrive at the airport, she can't get her car rental because she had reservations for the day before. Easton has an SUV all lined up and when he finds Ivy he knows she upset. He offers her a ride since they are traveling to the same place. Easton is headed to his families home for his brother's wedding. Ivy has a job all lined up she found with an artist and has an apartment ready for her. Their trip takes them two days of travel and they talk alone the way. Ivy knows that Easton is hiding something from him, he can't tell her anything about his job he's headed too. They stop for the night and Easton knows he wants Ivy in his future, so he makes arrangements to get out of his contract. When they stop for the night they share a room, Easton tells her he wants her. They pleasure one another then make love. The next morning Ivy isn't sure what Easton wants, if he wants a relationship at all. Easton lets Ivy know that he got out of his contract and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. He tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him also. Easton wants to take Ivy to met his family and she tells him she wants to get them presents for Christmas. Easton welcomes Ivy with open arms, then during lunch they ask her lots of questions. Then they hit the road after lunch ready for their adventure to be over. When they arrive at Ivy's apartment Easton escorts her inside and they sit on the couch. Easton tells her he wants everything with her, but he's not enough. Ivy tells him he amazing, but he tells her he's done some bad things. She tells him that's in his past, it's not who he is now. Easton feels gratitude for her in his life, and he'll spend the rest of his life showing her what she means to him. One year later, they found out that the contract Easton signed was outdated so he negotiated a new contract a better job, with the same company. Ivy's job is awesome, her parents are coming in for Easton's families Christmas lunch. Easton's mom thanks Ivy, she tells her that when he went to war he never came back the same, until he met her. Their relationship isn't perfect, but the connect is undeniable. Ivy loves Easton to the moon and back, and she can't wait to find out what their future holds.

Fern Fraser made a hot mess out of this one.

no history on hero, but to me a man with a condom fucks, so H is a man whore.
I did not like the hero, clearly.
The irony is that he accepted a contract where he has no attachments to anyone and that includes women. He flirts with h at a bar, they go up to his room, he goes down on her, she tells him she is a virgin, so he stops, they sleep and he is a cold asshole in the morning.
His inner monologue is I can't have a fling with her and take her virginity when I am under this no attachment clause.....ok, so why did you flirt with her at the bar to get her to fuck you? You were going to fuck her and leave her if she wasn't a virgin? But then he says that this is not a fling he wants her forever.....what?? No he doesn't. MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!
You can't turn the hero into a romantic just by changing the guys 'inner monologue'......the man seduces, fucks and leaves em, that is the hero we have and he is an asshole to the h. Oh, when they separate, he does not ask for her number. He is done with her, despite his inner monologue. He says that he is working on getting out of the job and getting money to pay back the advance he spent and that is what he was doing on the plane. He does that whilst staring at the back of the h's head. Meanwhile she is miserable. (And so am I reading this shitty story).
After that she loses her luggage, she doesn't have a car, she is heartbroken and he is there just watching her be miserable like an idiot until he gets the courage to go up to her, let her know he was an asshole to her and apologizes. *eye roll* He offers her help and a ride, she looks at him thinking, what the hell is wrong with this asshat? She accepts the ride but asks why he was such a dick and he tells her about the job and this stupid clause. They get to the motel and then when she pats him on the shoulder goodbye, he is overcome with passion for her, can't let her go so he pushes her in the room and they fuck ......with a condom, which of course killed any passion and heat that scene could have had.

This book is a part of the Under His Tree series and focuses on Easton and Ivy. Easton and Ivy meet while they are both traveling for work when their travel plans get interrupted by the weather. The connection they have is instant and strong. Easton is immediately protective and possessive of Ivy and knows that she is his even if he doesn’t think he deserves someone like her and his job makes it incredibly difficult to explore what they have. They have a lot to consider when it comes to meshing their lives but they both decide that what they have is worth fighting for and end up both getting exactly what they want in life. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

Ivy is moving across the country to start a new job. She has everything planned out flight, rental car, accommodation’s. But what happens when everything goes wrong. Ivy is resourceful but she seems to be hitting a roadblock at every turn. Easton is also on the plane that’s not moving because of the storm. He noticed Ivy on the plane and now at the bar. He is interested in Ivy. Two strangers that hopeful won’t be strangers long. These two main characters are so dang cute. They have that down to earth, friendly vibe. They are drawn to each other- each experiencing a jolt of electricity when they touch. It’s a cute, sweet, flirty adventure with a little steam.

Ivy gets stranded due to bad weather. She meets Easton at the bar. There is another man there, though, that doesn't want to take no for an answer. Easton makes sure he does. When they get to the hotel, he finds out she's still carrying a v-card, so he doesn't do anything except see to her pleasure. When they part ways the next morning, it's cold and awkward. Then, the airline loses her luggage, and then the rental car isn't available. So, Easton rescues her again. This road trip may not be pleasant.

I'm not sure why, but this book fell flat with me. Each chapter had both PoVs. I usually enjoy this author's works.

Easton and Ivy are stuck for one night in a small town when their flight gets cancelled. When the meet sparks fly. Ivy decides to have one night where she goes wild but after Easton gets to know Ivy he wants more but realizes due to a job he has taken that at this time he can't have more. This is a very good instalove story where both fall in love but can not follow through. Easton truly wants to work it out with Ivy but she does not want him to give up his job and life for her. Wonderful chemistry between the two and a wonderful love story.

Easton was on the same plane and in the same predicament, but when he sees Ivy, he knows he has to protect her. They meet and get to talking and find it easy to talk. They slowly develop a relationship but what will happen as they ate going seperate ways or are they? This is a short, fast paced instaromance with a HEA.

They're opposites and can't stand each other but their chemistry is off the charts. A fun book that you will enjoy and a great enemies to lovers romance. The characters were interesting and fun. This was a sweet age gap romance. I really liked the general feel of the story but structure wise I found it a bit off, the beginning seemed to have a slight drag and the ending was a bit rushed. Easton and Ivy were a great match and had great chemistry but for me the story could have been better if it had had the same pace throughout.

Short and sweet story. When Easton and Ivy met, it was instant chemistry and magnetic attraction.
