Roni and Nash's story is a very short one, IMO, compared to the other Kat Baxter books I've read. There's no conflict in this one. Yes, Nash tried to resist his feelings for Roni because of his physical attributes and the age gap between them but after that, it's a pretty straightforward HEA. I still enjoyed it though. I always do with Kat's books.

This was a quick, and fun novella. I'm a sucker for the fake-dating trope, so I loved that it came into play here! I did like the two main characters together, but I also liked them equally as individuals as well. Roni seems very sweet, with a funny, sassy side which compliments Nash's grumpy side well. My only complaint is the ending, it was so rushed, making it a bit disappointing in my opinion.

I absolutely cannot recommend this fast-burn, super spicy, yet super sweet romance enough.

This one was cute, if a bit rushed. I would have probably given it my typical three stars for an average, but entertaining book, but something was revealed at the end that I thought was morally wrong. I can't get past that unfortunately.

Exactly the bit of fluff I expected it to be and that’s just fine. Their history is set up so it’s not exactly instalove but you feel like you just skipped to the good bits. It’s cute.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Nash and Roni have knew each other since she came to work for him in his candy shop. Nash thinks he's to old for Roni, so when he goes to a bar she goes also. Roni is out on the dance floor when he notices a college guy trying to approach Roni, she continues to dance. When she steps up to the bar the college guy follows her. When she tries to step away from him and he follows her Nash has had enough. Nash takes Roni home, but the next day the college guy comes into the candy shop and asks Roni to go out with him, but she refuses. Nash tells the college guy they are dating, and then Roni tells Nash they needs to make an appearance if they are going to pretend to date. So Roni makes plans for them to attend the market the next day, but Nash doesn't pick her up. Nash is already at the market when Roni arrives, her best friend Amber Lone Star Boss thinks of a plan to get Roni naked with Nash. Roni tells Nash he forgot to pick her up but he tells her he never promised he would. Roni tells him he's a terrible fake boyfriend, he asks her what makes a perfect fake boyfriend. Roni tells him he's suppose to walk around with her and buy her things, kiss her and tells her she's beautiful. As they walk around the market they talk soon someone yells to them to look out and Roni gets hit with snow, now she's wet, and cold. Amber tells her that isn't how it was suppose to go, and pretty soon Nash is telling Roni he needs to get her out of there. Soon Nash is carrying Roni out of the market and to his shop where there's an apartment upstairs. Roni asks Nash what is wrong and he tells her that everyone in town seen her bits and pieces. Nash tells Roni that not everyone gets to see her pink parts. When they get inside the apartment Nash leans her against the door and begins to kiss her. Nash tells her how much he wants her, Roni tells him she trust him. Nash puts Roni on the bed and strips her of her clothes then pleasures her while she is pleasuring him. Soon Roni is asking Nash to make love to her. Nash and Roni go to their homes to get cleaned up then he has a few things he needs to do. When Nash goes to Roni's home she doesn't answer, he calls her but she doesn't pick up. Nash finds out from Amber they are at Gator's the Cajun restaurant owned by the Guidry family in town. When Nash arrives the college guy is there with some of his friends. He calls Nash over to his table and tells Nash what he wants to do to Roni, but Nash tells him she's his. Roni walks up on Nash when he's talking to the college guys and takes what he said the wrong way. Nash suggest the college guys get out of town, then Wade Guidry Scars and Stripes comes to tell him he'll take care of them. Nash goes to find Kelli, Wade's wife hugging Roni, and he tells her he'll take care of her. Nash asks Roni if she wants to go someplace public but she tells him she doesn't need to so that he can break her heart. Nash tells he he's not going to break her heart and he never will. Nash tells her that she's his whole world, his everything, he came her to be with her. Roni tells him she should have texted him an invite but she didn't know what to make of what happened between them. Roni tells him he didn't say anything about wanting her and she was trying to be mature. Nash tells her he had some things he needed to take care of. Nash pulls out the ring that's in his pocket and tells her he wanted to surprise her with this. Nash tells her he tried to stay away, he tried to be a good guy and ignore how he felt, he asks her to be his wife. Roni tells him of course she'll be his wife, she tells him he's everything to her. Roni tells him she loves him and Nash tells her he loves her. Nash tells her he's taking her back to his home so they can spread out on his California king, but Roni tells him she'll probably still be squished up on him. Nash tells her anytime she wants consider him her husband sized teddy bear. Several months later over the summer, Roni's sister Jackie and her husband, Luca Snowed In with the Grump are over for a pool party. Jackie is pregnant, and she wants her husband to built them a pool in their small back yard. Luca tells Jackie she can have Nash and Roni's pool. When Jackie rolls her eyes, Luca tells her they can share the pool, he bought the property behind them so their yard will be backed up to each other. Jackie asks Roni if she knew about this and she tells her sister she just found out. Then Nash explains that they'll have the pool on their side while Luca and Jackie will have a playscape on their side. Roni yells out that she is pregnant with twins. The look Nash gives Roni is hot and possessive and just about makes her burst into flames, that look is everything. Nash is everything to Roni. Everything she ever wanted for Christmas and for always.

The curvy girl and husky guy romance was a funny, holiday-sweet candy shop, the surprise of sexy fun. This is a case of a young virginal clerk, Roni (25) who has been lusting after her big older, burly boss Nash. He wants her peach-shaped bottom, every time she bends over to get into the display case, to serve a customer.
Roni is tired of waiting around for Nash to make the first move. She is taking matters into her own hands. Her friend Amber Crawford had finally snagged herself the older man of her dreams, Quinn Crawford. So, Amber was going to walk her through the evening, at the bar where they go dancing, Nash and his buddy Ian are there. Yet, neither of them expected drunk Peter to get all in Roni’s business. Then, try to take her somewhere by grabbing her wrist. Until Nash stepped in.
The next day at work Peter shows up and tries to sweet-talk her into meeting up with her. She says no. He says he gets it, he has to buy something to talk with you, so some chocolate-covered cherries. He’s like you know what I mean. She said, “No!” Nash went over and asked, “Is there a problem?” Peter said, “She refused to sell me the chocolate-covered cherries.” Nash said, “She has a right to refuse service to whomever she wants, especially if they’re being obnoxious and disrespectful.” This is when the spark starts the little flame they have for one another. It's the next day at the Jingle Farm’s Christmas Market it gets amped up a bit and the flame turns into a blaze.

Roni and Nash have been in love with each other since before this story picks up. Roni is sweet and a bit innocent and isn't sure how to get Nash (her older, bigger, burlier boss) to pursue her. Nash is sure that Roni is too young and beautiful to ever be interested in someone the likes of him. Making it easier to hide behind the fact that she is an employee and he would never cross that line. Que the pushy, sleezy, jerk trying to worm his way in to Roni's pants and you have a hero Nash coming to the rescue happy to pose as a fake boyfriend to scare of the loser. Now if only Roni can turn this fake relationship in to the real thing.
This story is everything I would want in an age gap romance plus more. I enjoyed the Christmas setting and the small town feel throughout the story. The main characters were so fun and likeable and relatable. I consider myself a "dirty romantic" so I am always happy to read about a couple that's in to the baby making action, and looking forward to the "consequences". I came in to the series at the end but that didn't take away anything from this story performing as a standalone, and in fact I am more interested in reading the previous books to get the deets on the other couples in the story.

And Veronica is soooooooo diggin’ Nash just as he is and she just wants to love on him real hard… girl, we get it!! Just when you think these two are just going to pine for each other forever… a friend steps to create a little hotness opportunity! And then we all start to sweat coz Kat Baxter creates the most fan yo’self steam-worthy smexy scenes!! Yum!!

4.5 stars. Nash, the male lead, has been enamoured of Roni, the female lead, since he met her but he feels he’s too old and fat for her to be interested in him. Roni has always been interested in him and she’s trying to grab his attention however she can. Now she just needs to convince him that she really does want him and he’s the best choice for her.
This short story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, bigger character romance. I enjoyed that both lead characters enjoyed the other’s shape. I enjoyed their intimate interactions. I enjoyed Roni’s assertiveness in reaching for Nash. I appreciated Nash’s protectiveness when she was hassled, and his enthusiasm once he committed to the relationship.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, bigger character romance. I enjoyed that both lead characters enjoyed the other’s shape. I enjoyed their intimate interactions. I enjoyed Roni’s assertiveness in reaching for Nash. I appreciated Nash’s protectiveness when she was hassled, and his enthusiasm once he committed to the relationship.

Enlisting the assistance of friends for love may work.
I really liked this instalove story with a twist. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Pete was a major jerk and deserved some kind of comeuppance. His immaturity and inconsiderate actions were irritating. Nash owned the candy shop in town. Roni (Veronica) had been working for Nash and wishing that he would notice her as more than an employee. Nash felt that he was too old and too big of a guy for Roni to want to be with. There was some drama and angst but it resolved well. Becoming fake boyfriend and girlfriend was a great way to divert the unwanted attentions. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Excelente historia. Rápida de leer y que te deja con dos personajes amorosos e intensos.
Me encanta de esta autora que en la mayoría de sus historias lo que hace es demostrar que es sexy tener vello en el cuerpo. Y es fundamental, teniendo en cuenta que hay varón que crecieron viendo porno, donde se muestra a las mujeres de una determinada manera. Casi perturbadora cuando te poner a pensarlo y analizarlo con detenimiento.
Y me centro en eso porque me parece importante, algo que cuando lo leí por primera vez casi me muero, porque no lo podía creer.

I got to read this book a little early and I loved this fun, steamy holiday story. Nash and Roni are wonderful together. Roni is equal parts sweet and sassy. Nash is a growly, cinnamon roll of a man. When this husky man and curvy girl match up, the steam between them could melt snow. Well, if there was any snow in their little Texas town. Cue a surprise appearance by Johnny to kick things up a notch. Come back to Saddle Creek for the holiday. It’s always an excellent place to be.

So I loved Luca and Jackie in Snowed in with the Grump, and was so excited to see that Roni was Jackie’s sister. Roni is in love with Nash but Nash thinks he’s too old, and big for Roni. Cue the Crawford’s and Roni’s best friend Amber who went through a similar situation. She puts a plan together to force Nash to admit his feelings. A couple snowballs later and some candy cane leggings…. Roni finally get her man!!!

Kat Baxter's books make me so happy! I love everything about this story - the characters, the age gap, the setting, and the storyline. I also love that Nash 'practically lived like a... monk' since he'd met Roni. But my favorite part is the epilogue where we get a glimpse at their HEA, an update on Luca and Jackie, as well as a clue about who's getting their story told next. I reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

This was a fantastic age gap romance. I loved the fact that both Nash and Roni were described as being larger than average, especially to show that the perfect romance hero doesn’t need washboard abs, he could very well be a husband size teddy. Roni was a sweetheart and I loved her. She had amazing chemistry with Nash and I loved the stunt that her friend pulled to get him to act on his attraction to her. It was a story full of heat and humor and what more could you ask for? Well maybe a story for Ian?

This was a fantastic book. Roni and Nash were wonderfully sweet together as these two have longed for each other but never had the push to tell the other of their feelings. Thanks to their friends and a college dude, these two finally get the push they need and they finally get the HEA they both needed. I can't wait to see what Kat has in store for us next!.
