This book was meh… first off, this book is part of the Firefighter series.. and yes she was a Firefighter, but it barely touched on that point.
I am not a fan of Adrian. He is a total A-hole and to me it goes beyond the type that is rude to others but sweet for only her.. He is just rude.
For her being a single mother and “doing what she has to” to keep her home.. She drops her kids off with her friends awfully quick.. idk. This book just wasn’t it for me. Felt too rushed, details weren’t fully there, then the randomness of his place getting broke into and tossed just didn’t fit.
Adrian needs a pretend girlfriend and. Blair needs money to pay her rent. Their fake relationship is anything but smooth sailing while in the Bahamas. Initially, it was frustrating how much of an arrogant and frustrating person Adrian was being. However, it was nice to see his growth even if it occurred late in the story. Overall, it was an entertaining read with some tense moments.
