I enjoyed the push/pull of the relationship developing between J.J. or Jordan, the owner of the BDSM CLUB, Baker Street and Fitzwallace, a bold, large and in charge Alpha, owner of the Cerberus Group, men of a military type agency that defends and protects those in need. Jordan runs her BDSM club to help finance her activist role of rescuing women that have been kidnapped. J.J. risks her life one too many times until she is now in danger and Fitzwallace is called in to protect and control her. Fitz is more than capable for the job where all others have failed. Jordan has never been a submissive and Fitz never allows himself to be topped, he is the definition of Alpha Dog and takes control of Jordan who learns to enjoy being his submissive, of sorts. J.J. is a tough cookie but Fitz is tougher. What a pair, I loved them together. There are plenty of fights, struggles and adventures as they each learn how to deal with each other, but Fitz allows no resistance to his ultimate goal, to make Jordan his submissive,and his collared and wedded wife ultimately.

I don't know why I keep wasting my time on this author. I liked her first few books but now her H's are all turning into Jerks. Within second of meeting the H declares himself the h's master and orders her to accept a punishment and her friends, other dominate males, just accept that because he's the big alpha. Big NO. Got a 3rd of the way through and I'm returning it (checked out from Kindle Unlimited)

Didn’t love it
So, I didn’t really like this book. To have a man walk into a woman’s business and within a few minutes he’s spanking her, having unprotected sex with her, and shortly there after taking over her business. Completely unrealistic and silly. The dom in this book was just awful. I skipped parts just to avoid yet another spanking and be done with the book.

Alpha male to the max
A bit of an Insta love story which I wasn't expecting to be honest! I really liked the story line a dom taming an unsubmissive submissive but there's just a few things that I really didn't like at all. As someone with the exact personality of Jordon there is no way on this earth I would be treated like that by a man whether I enjoyed a spanking or not...i didn't feel any respect from fitz at all for Jordon and doing as she was told like she was a child just pushed me to too far. Being a defiant sub is natural but to basically threaten to punish her in her own club is not the way to portray it. Definately some dubious consent going on and that's not okay even in fiction. I also absolutely hated the fact he took over her business and her rescue basically making her a prisoner when she refused to stop.... I get he wanted her safe but punishing her for running off to save women and doing it himself felt misogynistic. The hospital at the end made me laugh so much but again he had to ruin by being all alpha to her about respect and saying stuff! I loved Jordon but not so much the doms. That being said I couldn't stop reading till I finished it!

Compelling but a poor role model.
The story kept my attention and was interesting. However, it was unsettling that the main characters never discussed and consented to Anything. What's more, the other doms didn't step in, she did not safe word. This one was dark. In real life, this would be DV. However, if you can see past that, the characters are interesting and the story line was compelling.

This was an exceptionally steamy, BDSM story with heart. There is intrigue. Will the black ops succeed? And who wants JJ dead? Funny in places and scary in others. Not because of the BDSM but because of what JJ likes to do on the side.

On the side she makes money in a variety of ways, some honest and others not so much in order to bankroll her exploits in saving women from the clutches of kidnapping and enslavement. There was no man strong enough to make her his Submissive. Or so this willful woman thinks. Enter Robert Fitzwallace, a huge bear of a man who likes his women strong enough to take him. Oh. My. Word. Does he ever…taker her that is!
Warning: JJ is treated roughly to bring her in line. It seems cruel unless you realize this is something that she really wanted: a strong man who could make her submit. She admits this desire many times. There will be spanking with hand and belt, hair pulling with rough talk. Also, moments of dubious consent. Still good if you like this genre.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes recommended for those who enjoy BDSM stories with explicit steamy scenes, thrilling intrigue and maybe a little “taming of the shrew.” I quite enjoyed it ;-) I give it 4.5 steamy stars!

A wonderful D/s read with action, adventure and lots of sexy moments
This is a wonderful second book in this series of books and although totally free stranding it is obvious that JJ has gotten herself into something far bigger than even, she knew especially when someone tried to take her out with a sniper rifle at her club.
All the Dom’s at the club know that JJ the owner bows for no man and she very rarely listens to their advice and since she converted the building to a very well-respected Dom club at the very austere address 221A Baker Street, the fictitious haunt of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson.
JJ has been putting herself in terrible danger by rescuing young women that had been stolen from their homes and families and sold into slavery, forced to serve brutal men that wanted a body to breed sons and for them to use in whatever manner pleased and when they failed to please they were easily disposed of without any questions being asked.
When Cerberus had been called in as a favour to Adam, Fitzwallace had been totally unprepared for the effect the woman had on him, he had never been so certain from the moment he first saw her that they were meant to be together.
This is a wonderful story filled with action and D/s interaction, JJ is full of spirit and tenacity and backs down to no man and this up till now has been allowed but Fitzwallace is not going to start for her sassy behaviour.

I read and review a lot of books. Whenever possible, I tried to write a review as soon as I finish the book, when the feelings and thoughts that derive from it are fresh in my mind. Alpha Dog is a book that had me decide to wait before I wrote the review because I wanted to think it through and not have a reflexe type of reaction.
I thought the male lead character, Robert Fitzwallace, was a huge bully who sexually assaulted the female lead character. Repeatedly. BDSM is fine because there is negotiation and consent. In books, I don’t usually take issue with what might be called dubious consent. For me, Fitz was just too much over the top. Rough is one thing and mean is quite another. Jordan James, the female lead character, is smart and tough and independent, and about as far from being submissive as you could find. She is not afraid of him, but physically she just can’t outmatch him. Her heart also can’t resist him, and the passion that blows between them is electric. And in the end, my feelings about the hero are far less important than those had by the heroine. To give credit where its due, his character does redeem himself a teeny bit at the end.
I thought the plot was very good and fast. There was international intrigue and drama, including terrorist groups and issues that are currently in the news. You might not want to date or scene with Fitz, but you definitely want him on your side if your life is in danger!

I was immediately sucked into this book. Jorday and Fitz took hold of my emotions and didn't let go. She may run a BDSM club but her side gig gets her into a lot of trouble at times so Robert Fitzwallace enters her life in a big way. If anyone can tame her, it will be him. I loved the interaction between these two characters and while it may look like doing things to he she doesn't like, she secretly loves it but of course, she's not about to tell him that! She's stubborn, feisty and has a backbone of steel. He may be determined to tame her but secretly, he loves the fact that she puts up a fight. These two are perfect for each other and it shows throughout the story! Pick this up and settle in for a nice hot story!!!!

JJ (Jordan James) is the sole proprietor of a BDSM club and on the side she rescues kidnapped and abused women. Her work on the side often times puts her life at risk, so her security staff call Fitz (Robert Fitzwallace) to help keep her safe. Fitz is the owner of Cerberus Group, a Dom, and when he meets JJ he decides to make her his submissive. JJ isn’t too keen on his idea and keeps trying to escape. This results in one fantastic story, filled with action, danger, adventure, spankings, discipline, and steam. It’s captivating, incredibly erotic, and I didn't want it to end!

Would give more stars if I could! When I read a Delta James book, I know it will be hot. I also know that the male lead will be an uber-Alpha type who will face any and all challenges, including those posed by an equally strong female lead. Fitz and Jordan epitomize this dynamic! Make sure you clear your schedule before you start reading...you won’t want to put this one down. And to make it worse, you will finish wanting to see how the rest of the Cerberus team meets their match.

This is an extraordinary & outstanding well-written, intense disciplinarian romance. It is about a feisty, highly independent young woman (Jordan James aka J.J.) who owns a BDSM club in order to finance her role as a activist so that she can rescue abducted & abused women but then danger rears its ugly head & a alpha male (Robert Fitzwallace) the owner of the “Cerberus Group” steps in to help her but once he meets her, he promptly decides to first make her his submissive & ultimately his wife, naturally she is not too impressive with either of his ideas & keeps on trying to escape. I found the plot to be highly fascinating & intriguing with good world building & graphic scene descriptions. The characters are well-developed & extremely interesting with strong-willed, personalities & they are quite confrontational but they actually really complement each other.
There is: friendship, comradery, mystery, secrets, danger, threats, enemies, adventure, action, humor, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, mystery, secrets, confrontation, verbal conflict, defiance, domination/submission, BDSM, discipline, spanking, dubious consent scenes, manipulations, various escape attempts, compromises, decisions, love, contentment, explicit steamy scenes & a well-earned, satisfying conclusion. I absolutely enjoyed reading this rough romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre. I doubt that you would be disappointed.

This book by Delta James has to be my favorites so far.The plot and character
development was outstanding and oh so entertaining.It had me salivating
from the beginning.Its full of suspense,danger,tension,action,and talk about jaw dropping sex.I loved Jordan for her ingenuity and her resourcefulness .She was a master at escaping much to Fitz's horror.
The story jumps right into action with Jordan's plan to rescue more women.She finances her adventures as an international activist by being the owner of a BDSM Club.No man has ever come close to taming Jordan,that is until Robert Fitzwallac was hired to protect her. Major fireworks exploded whenever they were together. The air tingled from the moment they met.I loved the cat and mouse game between them.
Fitz was the ultimate Alpha, but he had his hands full as Jordan fought his dominance at every turn.But,she did find a new level of contentment once she submitted to him. This is the follow up but independent book after 'Delta Dog'. This is the love story between Fitzwallace or Fitz and Jordan James or JJ. JJ owns herself a BDSM club were she is the sole proprietor. She also has a side gig rescuing kidnapped and abused women all over the world. She funds this little enterprise by donations as well as bribery and extortion if needed. This side gig puts JJ's life at risk but she is very passionate about it and does not have any desire to stop. Her security staff is more than worried about her. They call in Fitzgerald to help keep JJ safe. Fitz is an ex military,security specialist, and part of the Cerberus Group with his own team, safe houses, planes, helicopters and domineering personality. He is also a dom and major alpha. JJ is not used to people telling her what to do and Fitz it's not used to people not following his directions. Fitz is enamored with JJ at first sight but JJ refuses to follow any directions that Fitz is demanding. What ensues is an amazing story with tons of action, chase, suspense and a unique love story between a super alpha dom and a non compliant sub. It was hot, it was funny, and it was a whole lot of fun. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the next one. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Can two Alpha's survive a battle of the wills while the sparks explode
Alpha Dog can definitely be used to describe Robert Fitzwallace. He is a stern task master and will do what it takes to get those around him to follow what he says. I enjoyed reading this book, which is the story of Fitz and JJ, who figure in the Club Southside series, how they met and married. It’s well written, has an interesting story, a sexy romance, and appealing characters, both main and side. However, I have to say that in real life I would not enjoy Fitz, and I feel sorry for poor JJ, ending up with him. Fitz is an autocrat, who says he will have sex with JJ whenever, wherever and however he wants, regardless of whether she wants to, or has something else she might need to do; his desires are paramount, and his word is law in all things. And it seems as though JJ, although not a submissive, turns into one with sufficient spankings. This makes me wonder what James is trying to tell us. Is JJ actually a submissive who’s been so out of touch with herself that she just didn’t realize it until Fitz came along? Or does James want us to believe that any woman, regardless of her personality, will become submissive if confronted with the right determined (and sexy) man? I’ve been puzzling over this since I finished the book two days ago, and I still don’t have the answer. Maybe it’s because I read BDSM but don’t live it, so I don’t properly understand it. Anyway, this is a good book, but for me, it raises some difficult, somewhat uncomfortable questions.

Alpha woman + alpha man = sparks that fly and fly and fly
This was a very enjoyable read. Ms James is a relatively new author to me. I have yet to read all her books, but the ones I have read, I really enjoyed. This book was no different. Ms James can flesh out extraordinarily strong characters that once they meet - sparks fly. I love it. The story line behind this book was a particularly good one. The main female character JJ lets an profound experience as a child guide her as an adult. Bring in our tough, gruff hero - Fitzwallace who knows that as soon as he sees her, he knows she is his. He attempts to stake his claim on her, but being the strong and independent woman JJ is, she will not go along quietly. It is a great story of cat and mouse. But it is also a great story of how attraction can overcome many obstacles from the past. Great book. I look forward to reading other books from some of the secondary characters

I am sensing a theme with these books. Jordan is not a submissive, but is willing to submit only to Fitz. I thought the Boko Haram story would take center stage, and it had its role, albeit a small role, in the book.
Fitz entered the room, and it was absolutely instalove between him and Jordan. I didn't expect quite the immediate level of dominance he displayed upon meeting Jordan. I guess she fought the good fight, but she submitted at almost every turn. I thought it was interesting that Fitz was so alpha or so dominant, even the other Doms took a step back when he was around.
I have to say that I enjoyed how she managed to get past Fitz only to find him at her destination or reaching it immediately after her. I would have liked more detail as to how he managed it.
The little twist at the end, I had almost completely forgotten about. I also wish there had been an epilogue.

Delta James has become a must read author for me and this book only reinforces that decision. Ms. James has a way of grabbing onto her readers from the 1st page to the last with her terrific storytelling and world building. Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Ms. James' books may not be for everyone because of the Domination/Submission aspects of them, but if you do enjoy that theme (even in your fantasies) you will absolutely love this book. Fitz and Jordan's story is one of finding what you need in a soul mate but not being able to admit to it and therefore you fight tooth and nail against them. This story has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama, conflict and of course hot, hot romance (it is a Delta James book after all). You don't want to miss this absolutely fantastic book!

I love the strong female characters that Ms. James writes about. They are alpha women. Jordan is the perfect example. She has been on her own for many years and, after witnessing her parents deaths in a suicide bombing, she uses her talents to rescue women who need it while running an upscale BDSM club in London. Fitz is the head of Cerberus, a private team specializing in black ops and is called in by one of her security when Jordan is shot at. When the two meet, it is obvious that they are meant for one another. The problem is that Jordan is not a submissive, but Fitz is a dom. They work out their differences, but it's definitely fiery between them. They eventually have their HEA, but not before Jordan's a** is sore and Fitz's patience is tested.

I just love Deltas hot alpha males, she really does justice to her men, and the women well these women are mostly sassy, with their own personalities that are strong and competant enough to stand up to their man.
From the moment Robert Fitzwallce stepped into the room and saw Jorden he knew she was his. He felt it deep in his soul. He also knew that what he read about her that she would be in need of a good spanking soon. She will learn to submit to him.
To Jorden she knew she was his yet,but she was determined to finish her mission one way or another he couldnt keep here in one place , there was one to save. There may be someone out to kill her but she is smart.
This is a must read book and once again Delta has made it hot and exciting, i also hope that she will write other stories from the men in this group fro Cerebus.

OMG, What a story!!! This Uber Alpha Male Fitz walks into the Baker Street BDSM club and from across the room as the owner of the club descends the stairs like the Queen she is, locks eyes with him and That...is the stare that starts all this action, adventure, extremely naughty over the knee high heat and pace of this book! It is smoking hot! Fitz knows what he wants the moment he sees her and then JJ ‘s world is turned upside down. He is just as smart and quick as she is at each and every turn. Dear fellow readers, if you like the D/s relationship this will set you afire. He is no metrosexual, enlightened and modern is not in his vocabulary. JJ is used to always being the one In control and she had no idea what is in store for her.

This is a D/S story but the submissive is not a submissive which is quite a conundrum, but JJ is submissive to Fitzwallace even if she doesn’t understand it. Jordan is a strong, capable businesswoman who owns a BDSM club as a means of revenue to support her finding and saving women and her latest quest is for Boca Haram kidnapping victim sold to Satanga. Fitzwallace is as alpha as they come and is determined she will not try and free the girl on her own and he is equally determined that Jordan will be not only his submissive but also his wife wearing his collar. The push and pull between the two is as dynamic as the sex they both enjoy. The sex is so hot that you might need iced water to cool you down. There is also the question of who took a shot at Jordan. This is a fast, fun read with a happy ending and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved Jordan and Fitz. She is the most self-confident and self-reliant woman in this story and she has attracted the attention of a major alpha male who at first meeting, has claimed her as his own, which means collared and wedded. The action in this book is fast pace and wonderfully written. The interaction between the two of them is hot off the charts. Jordan has a secret agenda in that she works to release women who have been kidnapped and forced into situations that are objectionable. The book is beautifully written and Fitz is one hot alpha who is determined to own and love Jordan. The battle of wits and minds, between the two of them, is explosive usually ending with Jordan’s punishment. This is a great read and I highly recommend it.
