This author’s style of writing is easy to read & this shifter romance immediately captures the reader attention within the first page. It has a mesmerizing plot with just the right amount of twists, drama & intrigue. The main characters (Cade & Trey) are interesting & likable as they try to sort out their relationship while investigating some vastly different murders.
There is: a human female deputy & helicopter pilot (Trey Mitchell), a retired delta force commander & mountain lion shifter (Cade Waverly), Cade’s brothers (Cole, Cash & Clay), Cade’s despicable father(Cyrus) & his not-so nice wife (Lorna), various kinds of shifters, humans, mates, suspense, family issues, murder, mystery, secrets, suspicions, confrontations, conflict, violence, discipline, spankings, steamy scenes & contentment. There is a bit of a cliffhanger & I will be waiting with eager anticipation for the next book in this series.

The series will be an ongoing saga, so for those who get upset that the story does not end and consider cliffhangers or unanswered sagas an issue—this is your warning. The sons of Cyrus and Hannah Waverly, Cade, Cash, Cole, and Clay, who will each be involved in the storylines. The series is a paranormal shifter tale with steamy heat and power exchange and does include mild non-com, dubious consent, and consent. The story is full of action, adventure, danger, mystery, suspense, passion, romance with a dominant man and a woman who loves him enough to acquiesce and submit.
The story continues after the prequel, Determined, which sets up this series, and this book continues with the relationship of Cade and Trey after they left their previous jobs and move back to Idaho. The story has death, questions, and danger as Trey investigates the murder of Cyrus Waverly. Four sons despise him, and one with no alibi will put Trey in an awkward position, but she is law before friend.
The relationship between Cade and Trey advances, and his dominance includes more control, especially as danger is present. It isn't that he doesn't trust Trey's abilities; she doesn't know about the shifters and hazards of the area. When strangers come to the area, that has him more on edge. The chemistry between Cade and Trey is full of passion, control, and desire. The story is heavy on multiple discipline and sex scenes.

It will include a new key person, an attorney hired to represent Clay, since he has no alibi, but it seems that Cole and Kennedy have a past—and I'm sure that will play out soon. As the story ends, the mystery just gets deeper—including the past unanswered questions of who is responsible for the death of Hannah Waverly. Too many coincidences to not mean more.

Terrific Shifter Romantic Suspense
This is a terrific book with Mountain Lion Shifters and a Mystery with multiple murders and I loved every bit of it. Not only does it have a mystery, but it is a steamy story with Shifters as well. You are sure to love this book just like I did assuming you like hot Shifters and a good mystery. This book is part of a series and I have read the ones that have been published so far, all of the books are outstanding and if you like stories with Shifters and some spanking you are sure to love this book as well as the others in the series. I don't think that one has to read the books in order, but I do think it is a good idea and you are more likely to enjoy the series if you do.

This was a really good book. I thought the blend of drama, suspense, emotion and heat was perfect and in practically no time at all I was totally captivated by this intense and intriguing tale. Cade and Trey were complex characters that I found easy to like. Their rich history and their intense present create a rock-solid base for a couple and a romance that had me completed invested and basking in all the feels. The mystery continues as more brother's find their mates and I can't wait for the next book! This is my volitional, candid review.

An action packed, suspense filled, romance that leaves you questioning who done it and why? This is the continuation of Trey and Cade's story. They must navigate the line between their personal and professional lives. Big secrets are revealed as well as tons of steam! Can't wait for the next story!

I liked this book. The story was beautifully written and flowed beautifully. The characters were well defined within the story and they had such great chemistry. I loved the ending. If you like the works of this wonderful author, then this book is must-read.

Delta James strikes again. I've always loved her stories be they shifter or contemporary and this one is no exception. From the prequel (free) novella, Determined to the first in the series, Untamed, we have a superbly written, character driven (as always) story, with great action, strong characters, steamy sex (again, as always) and a "who done it" for the series..................More please.

This is the first book I've read by Delta James and I was intrigued by it! It wasn't hard for me to get sucked into the suspense surrounding Cade and Trey. There was also plenty of steamy sex! I was happy to see that Trey accepted loved Cade's shifter side!

What a simply splendid introduction to this new series, absolutely wonderful read
This is a simply wonderful read that I have been so looking forward to and I must say I was not at all disappointed it was simply wonderful and I know that other readers will be equally as enchanted as me.
The plot was so well written and the characters were simply spectacular and I must admit that I was drawn into this fully and once I started it was simply impossible to put the book down until I reached the very last page and am sure that everyone else will feel the same.
The main characters Cade and Trey are very, very enticing and they are simply wonderful and the human female who is also a helicopter pilot, Trey Mitchell is a retired Delta force commander and is a mountain lion shifter who like things done just so.
This story is filled with action and suspense and I assure you that from start to finish you will be totally blown away, the plot holds you from the very first page and will hold you to the very end.
As always, the plot is absolutely wonderful and the writing is excellent and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series, I hope that the soon to be second book will soon be ready to read I cannot wait to see it.

This is the continuing story of mountain lion shifter Cade and his human girlfriend Theresa (AKA Trey), who now works for the closest town's sheriff's department in Idaho. Cade discovers his father, Cyrus' horse racing back to the barn, riderless...this was the culmination of a bad start to his day where his truck wouldn't start, hearing a heifer died in birthing a calf which would need bottle feeding or him finding a surrogate and Trey getting emergency call from work and leaving without waking him...He backtracks the horse to a mesa, discovering his father shot at the bottom...obviously dead. He isn't sorry to see his father dead, thinking Cyrus was the cause of his mother Hannah's death ten years previously, but was concerned about his brother's alibis during the time since looks like unshod horse was at location...but not much else in evidence since looks like someone erased footprints in dirt...so calls sheriff's department to report death...bringing the chief investigator Trey to scene...but who shot him??? One of his sons, or possibly his wife Lorna and will Trey have to arrest one of them??? 'Untamed' is the first book of Delta James' new 'Ghost Cat Canyon' series. Although I do recommend reading the prequel 'Determined', (mostly because it was soooooo good), it isn't necessary in order to follow along. The story starts with a chance meeting between Cade and Trey. Cade is former Delta Force and Trey is ex FBI. Even though Cade knew Trey was his true fated spirit mate, he chose to leave her after an amazing one night stand ten years ago. Fast forward to present times and Cade and Trey decide it's time to give their relationship a chance and they both move back home. Trey now is employed with the local sheriff's office and is tasked with the investigation of Cade's father. The same father that Cade and his brothers all hated and blame for their mother's death. If this isn't enough to keep you interested go ahead and add shifter play, more murders, a conniving step mother who still has the hots for Cade, secrets, siblings, a snake shifter and enough mystery and excitement to keep you guessing. This book ends in a cliffhanger but in all honesty, I needed to catch my breath. I am highly anticipating the next book as well as all the other ones in the series. I’m loving this series! The ARC copy of the prequel Determined thoroughly caught my attention and I went looking for an ARC for this book and it totally exceeded my expectations and then some.
The relationship between Trey and Cade is a mix of a dominance contest, out of control lust, and soulmate level love - intense and steamy! The series has a mystery to unravel and this book ends on a cliffhanger that will continue in the next book.
Cade’s father was murdered and the evidence is pointing towards one of his 3 younger brothers. All 4 of the brothers hated their father and never hid this fact. The brothers suspect their father or someone he knew may have had a hand in their mother’s death 10 years ago, but her death was ruled accidental. This series involves shifters and lots of unknown elements.
I’m super eager for Book 2 to learn more about what happened and to enjoy the next brother to find his bonded spirit.

Wow, I’m not a fan of cliffhangers but, this is an exceptional read. Cade’s father’s horse returns to the ranch wild eyed and unsettled. They don’t know f he was thrown off the horse or what happened. Cade goes to search for his dad and finds him at the bottom of a canyon. He was shot 8n the back. Trey Mitchell is one of the deputies in the county and also a trained FBI investigator. She takes the lead on this case. She and Cade are a couple, but if that fact should become an issue, she would stay away from Cade until t is over. All the brothers are suspects, but evidence points to Clay, the youngest who doesn’t have an alibi. An exceptional storyline that is fast paced and action packed with murder, danger, mystery, suspense, hot chemistry, domestic discipline, twists and turns and unfortunately a cliffhanger. The characters are well developed, strong, independent and very likable. Can’t wait for more in this series.

Trey went to the FBI and then she worked several years in Europe as a liaison. She came back home and became a chief investigator with the sheriff department. Cade is a mountain Lion shifter and help runs their ranch. Trey and Cade finally found their way to each other. Their relationship is new when Cade’s father is murdered. Trey is investigating it and the evidence is leading to Cade’s brother Clay. More secrets are revealed but will it drive Trey away?
*** CLIFFHANGER *** this is the second book today that had a cliffhanger. I was totally shocked when the story ended and we didn’t find out the killer. A lot of sex. Suspense. Shifters. Action packed. The thing that I didn’t like was Cade’s attitude about having Trey call him anytime she left. She seemed to like it though but I probably would have left him. I have read several books about dominant and submissive but he was just a little much.

Cade & Trey's story and the murder mystery continues with Untamed. After relocating back to Koyama', Cade and Trey are happy building their relationship, but a murder close to home puts them on opposite sides of the fence when someone dear to their heart is being framed for it. Even though they love each other, their relationship has some bumps they need to overcome before Cade can fully claim Trey as his bonded spirit.
As their story comes to an end, the mystery is still unsolved and will continue with the next book in the series that will also tell Cash's story.
I loved the murder mystery angle! I read over and over the relevant parts trying to come up with clues to figure out who had done it (and so far I came up with nothing!). I liked Cade and Trey and I hope we see more of them in the coming books of the series.

Love, love, love this new series! Cade and Trey are my new sizzling power couple! Both are strong in their own right, but together they are explosive. The back story is exciting and suspenseful, and I can’t wait to see where the author takes us. My favorite series are those where each book is complete as far as the main characters are concerned but the overarching story leaves questions that need to be answered in subsequent releases (love me some suspense and intrigue). But what makes this author special is that we, as readers, are compelled to continue not just for the storyline but to see what happens in the lives of favorite supporting characters. I thought her alpha wolves were hot, but her mountain lions have prowled their way and sunk their barbs into my imagination. Fabulous start to what promises to be a fantastic series.

Cade and Trey have history - albeit a very short one, but enough for hearts to be broken for no apparent reason. Trey was left heartbroken by Dade who then disappeared. Years later he is back from the military to claim ownership of the family farm only to find his brother and daddy's trophy wife trying to muzzle in. Cade's father Cyrus is missing and sadly he is found at the bottom of a cliff. Enter FBI trained Investigator Trey who is determined not to let her feelings for Cade get in the way of solving what happened. Murder, action, drama, heat, suspense, emotion, adventure and steam -this story has it all in buckets.
If you see any book with the name Delta James on the cover you are guaranteed an excellent read that you won't be able to put down.

This is the first book in this series that I have read, and I felt like I was
playing catch-ups. What I did read I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved how
possessive and protective Cade was towards Trey. The steam these two
produced was amazing. I was surprised at how well Trey accepted Cade’s
authentic self, even accepting his penchant for holding her accountable
when she put herself in danger.
This paranormal shifter tale by Deta James was easy to read and hard to
forget. It includes danger, murder,, angst, and passion. It has an intense
storyline with enough mystery that will make you frustrated enough to
buy the next book.

This book continues on from the free prequel, Determined. The story starts with a murder on Koyama', the ranch that is owned by Cade, Cash, Cole, and Clay Waverly. They are mountain lion shifters. Trey is Cade's mate, but she does not know that he is a shifter. Trey is a retired FBI agent working for the local sheriff. She is called on to investigate the murder of Cyrus Waverly, their hated father. While investigating, she puts herself into danger that Cade disciplines her for. Cade and Trey have a HEA, but there is a HFN for the story line. The plot continues in the next book. I normally don't like to read cliffhanger books, but this is Delta James, how could I resist?

Sexy and mysterious, this tale brings Cade and Trey back home to Idaho. Who killed Cyrus is the question of the hour, not that anyone really cares. In the midst of trying to solve the case, Trey finds herself under Cade's authority. Not a place this strong, independent woman wants to be. The whoopie scenes are as steamy as only DJ can write them. And cats have barbs, different from a wolf's knot, but just as satisfying. I shiver at the thought. The book ends on a cliffhanger, with Cyrus's killer unknown. The list of suspects constantly changes, so I can't wait to find out whodunit. Hot shifters claiming their mates and a crime to solve - the perfect afternoon read.

What a surprise this turned out to be!?! When I see story by Ms. James, I usually think of kinky spankings and dominating brooding men. While this book does have both of those (and cowboys, yum) it throws in not one murder mystery, not two; but by the end of the book 3 mysterious murders that may or may not have been committed by the same person.
I'm engrossed in the story of finding out why and who did it (I really want to see if I guessed right) while at the same time I want to spend more time on getting to know more about Cade and Trey's relationship. So much going on. That Delta, she sucked me in. So glad it's a series. I'm going back to read the prequel while I wait for the next book.

Lion shifter Cade's father Cyrus was murdered, and Cade and his three brothers each had motive, but only one of them has no alibi. Trey Mitchell is the lead investigator, and also Cade's mate. It's complicated. She does her best to be impartial, as well as thorough. Someone does not want her to solve the case. Someone in town is willing to kill again to keep their secret.
This story is another winner, as only Delta James can write. The s*x is hot, and the suspense grows throughout the book, until it ends on a cliffhanger. The four books have one fantastic overarching storyline. It's worth the one-click!

Theres nothing better than a good romance with murder and mystery, with paranarmal in the mix. This book is absolutely wonderful, i loved that Trey and Cade are back together fighting agaist the murder and the evidence that would frame one of the brothers. While this story will continue over the other brothers stories i love the fact that the two main characters get there HEA in there own way.
Honestly i cant wait for the other stories to come out to see what happens next, its going to be so good.
I thoughly reccommend this book. And i have tried not to put in spoilers because.. hey its a Delta James book and we know her books are electric

Cade's father turns up dead, and Trey is the investigator. All signs point to Cade's brother, Clay, as the main suspect. The author has once again woven a wonderful tale, with shifters, family secrets, jealousy, a murder mystery, and a little cliffhanger. This is not a terribly long book, but I couldn't put it down. The prequel, Determined, explains a lot about the family history, Cyrus' marriage to their mother, and how Cade and Trey got together, and is well worth the read for all the background information provided. Cade is so fiercely protective of Trey. His protectiveness and is dominant qualities ramp up after his dad is murdered, and Trey is the investigator on the case. They have loved each other for so long, and Cade knows that Trey is his bonded spirit. He just has to figure out how to tell her.
Before you read Untamed, you will want to read Determined: Ghost Cat Canyon which is the prequel to Untamed. Delta does a beautiful job of bringing in bits and pieces about how Cade and Trey got together.

A wonderful mystery story on a par with Agatha Christie. I loved it. It's very well written and described. All the characters are real and rounded. I loved both Trey and Cade. Their chemistry is off the charts. There are plenty of different elements to hold the reader's interest. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. This is a very interesting story with an intriguing ending. I am looking forward to the next one in this new and interesting series.
