Were you like me and wondered whatever happened to Chelsea after the coup was overthrown and she was banished? If so, then you definitely don't want to miss "Mulled Wine" and the story bringing her and Dax together. What started off doing a favor turned into stepping right into Fate's path and it's exhilarating. I wouldn't have missed this story for anything!

I DECREE WE ARE NOW THE PELE PERK
As a fan of Ms. Delta James' Wayward Mates series, there are many similarities in the storyline, two wolf shifters meeting, realizing they are fated mates, which she will fight, but never wins. But then, beyond how they come together, accept fate, and the relationship, the story is new. This new series, Tangled Vines, will also revolve around vineyards, except for this one, which instead will be around a pineapple and coffee plantation in Oahu, Hawaii.
The story is a novella and will begin in Paris, where Dax is gunned down in a Parisian café, and his assassin escapes. Dax will go to his father's vineyard, Wolf Song, and recuperate under his mother's watchful eye. Dax will learn through the grapevine that Chelsea Rhodes is struggling trying to run the plantation, dealing with unreliable workers, and trying to meet a lucrative contract with the Steele brothers. Dax will pose as Dax Trembley trying to be hired as the new foreman. But he does more than prove his abilities, he brings in workers, other wolves, and they are thrilled to be there and working. But, they must be careful not to call themselves a pack.
Chelsea: Are you suggesting we form a pack? My brother-in-law and the Ruling Council would never stand for it.
Dax: Then let's not tell them.
"The boys asked me, after Dax offered us jobs at lunch, to thank you. For some of us, this is a dream come true. We'd like to know if we can move our stuff out here and camp on the beach."
"Don't look now, Mistress, but I think the Perk is settling in."
"These people hadn't just been hungry for food but for a place to belong, a place they could make a difference, a community."
The story's plot will have Dax coming to the island and applying for the foreman position. He has a way of taking charge and making things happen positively. For Chelsea, it is a relief not to be struggling and juggling multiple tasks. Having all those on the property as wolves adds a layer of unity—giving them hope of becoming a pack. But, also with Dax's presence, Chelsea knows one of the wolves is her fated mate, and she wants nothing to do with it.
"You and I both know, my fiery she-wolf, that I'm your fated mate."
The story will have good and bad moments. It will have someone trying to kill Dax—after all, his years in intelligence have him as a target. It will have Chelsea not listening but able to save him. But can she avoid being claimed as a mate?
"Let the past go, Chelsea. Take what you need from it, then forgive yourself and kiss the rest goodbye. There is no other female—human or she-wolf—I would have at my side."
I love the chemistry between Dax and Chelsea, even if she doesn't want another mate after losing Miles—it's different with Dax. A simply wonderful addition to this series thoroughly enjoyed every moment of book
Chelsea had been ousted as the Mistress of Coronado and had been sent to Hawaii quite literally, which may not seem so bad but still when you are away from everyone you know even the most beautiful place on earth is no substitute.
In Hawaii wolves have never existed and then suddenly she is thrown when a single wolf shifter comes across her and advises her that he is her fated mate, the illegitimate son of Wolf Song but he had been raised as the Alpha of Paris’s son.
Dax has been trying to decide what to do with his life and
His mother asks him to go and help Chelsea but she does not want his help or anything to do with him.
Will Dax be able to control his future, make his fated mate see him for the wolf shifter he is there is so much too do and so little time and he is so determined. He wants to have what his friends have found with their fated mates, the happiness that he has seen previous generations of shifters have with fated mates.
Read this wonderful story and I assure you that without a doubt you will not be able to put this book down until you reach the final page and discover the outcome.

An alpha wolf will be obeyed, even if he has to chastise the mate who saved his life. A great novella but I feel like there should be more to come. His siblings need stories, and her father and the outdated Council need to be put down. Oh well...

This was good Chelsea made a 90 degree turn. She was so spiteful of Hudson and Shasta but Shasta showed her nothing but kindness. Chelsea and Dax at first I was a little shocked but Dax doesn’t play. He didn’t let her lead him by his _ ick like she did her first mate. This was good.

Enjoyable
A but shorter than I liked because I absolutely fell in love with this imaginative world crafted by the author. The characters are once again the main focus and they have amazing and believable chemistry. The caring dominance is in full force as well. I enjoyed reading this book and hopefully more spin offs in the future.

Great read like always!
I absolutely love all the books in the different series that link the characters!! Thank you for giving them life a little longer! I dread the day the final book comes out. Mulled Wine
Well I think this was one of my favorites in the series. Not quite so much angst, yet a great story. Shasta and Dax are wonderful characters and work well together even through difficult times. Other scenes are just HOT. Well thought out as always and throughly enjoyable.

A very good book
The storyline is very good. You have a female wolf who was forced to mate with someone she did not like.
He was killed.
She worked very hard to get her own successful business. She needs a new crew for her fields. A male shifter with a secret past, meets her, and claims her. What happens next is the best part of the book!

Dax & Chelsea
I am so glad I finally had a chance to read this story. Chelsea and Dax are perfect for each other. Both deserve the happiness they acquired and it is the perfect ending to this series. Although, I wouldn't mind if there were more short stories or spin-offs. I'd read them in a heartbeat.

Chelsea and Dax, the love story and mating and the building of a new pack was a thrilling read. I love how Dax realized that being gentle and not forcing Chelsea to accept the mating was the way to go.

DAX and Chelsea are wonderful, both have back stories that enriches their combined story. Wished this book was longer but as there’s a question sitting in the background I’m hoping for more about them in a future book. Highly recommend

This was a fun little read from Delta James. Still love how the books tie prior characters together. It’s great the see Chelsea grow up and change to make herself a happier person/wolf.

This author did it again. She took an unliked character from a previous story and made us love her in this book. Chelsea and Dax are to misfits in the pack system. Together they create something new and beautiful.

The dialogue was stilted and didn’t seem to flow well, and I don’t appreciate a story where the female is spanked as a punishment, to tach her to do what she is told by the male lead

Loved this story about Dax and Chelsea. Both were strong characters that needed to trust each other. Once they got to realize their feelings for each other they were able to find their happily ever after.

This was a good read, nice story line, not impressed with the spanking for show of male/alpha control. All and all I liked the book. Not overly explicit sex..thankfully.
