The Other Ones: A Tale of Family Turmoil
The Other Ones . . .
You don't want to become one.
Renowned physicist Damon Devereaux married a miscreant, and it nearly cost him his life.
High school student Lilianna Annesley struggles to survive an upbringing with reprobate parents.
While in the throes of battle with their mutual loved ones, the two meet and strike up an innocent friendship. But the darkness around them is not about to tolerate that.
Just when it seems that all hope is extinguished, one truth emerges from the embers:
Sometimes good things happen to people, and there isn't anything anyone can do about it.

January 1, 2023A lovely story
A brilliant man, Damon, whose life was marred by narcisstic relationships and ill-health, lived in a state of constant depression.
He struggled to defend himself against his money-hungry, abusive, murderous wife, probably having been conditioned to it by growing up with his sister, Nancy. She bullied and manipulated him, seeing him as her wealthy benefactor.
When he bought a dilapidated old mansion in a beautiful setting, planning to restore it, Nancy was deeply displeased.
Thankfully, he stood his ground.
He longed for the unattainable.
Yet somewhere inside him he was good and kind.
I loved the twist in the tale, but would have loved the story to continue!

This story reflects a deep understanding of human nature and relationships by the author. It is cleverly written and is a poignant portrayal of the depth of the resilience of the human spirit. Despite overwhelming odds in life the characters, Damon and Lilianna, not only rise above these odds, but flourish. The author has woven an intricate plot full of life's challenges which tug on the heartstrings and at times, make reading the tale a challenging task, confronting demons that face many of us. I love the creative use of the dreams and reflections of past experiences. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of reading The Other Ones and I thank R L Mosz for the reading pleasure. I highly recommend this book to the reader who likes to dive deep into a story.

It's a lovely yet slow book. I just wish there were a few more scenes between Lilianna and Damon and their future together. Though I can imagine how it would be. Them being mutually in love not rushing to marrying, Lilianna cooking hot meals in the kitchen for her family, and both of them singing and playing with their kids at the O'Connell house.

Interesting I
When you are reading this book you keep hoping he will see the light and know his sister and her sin are just using him for " Mr money bags." Then finally it hits. Way to go!

JUST EXCELLENT
Truly memorable. A deeply moving, down to earth story about the complications of human interactions but not morbidly heavy. You really feel for these people and want their lives to work out. You will enjoy this book.

Hope
I liked the way the flashbacks were woven in.
Remembering you're never too old, there's always hope.
Especially in Christ Jesus.

The Other Ones
This really is a lovely, romantic book. It's a reminder to find your happiness and the strength to prevent others from taking it away from you.
