I just want someone to love me for myself. When a beautiful newcomer arrives in town and assumes I’m a poor cowboy, I don’t tell her otherwise. It’s not really a lie, is it? Besides, it’s nice to have someone like me for me. Not my family name. When we’re together, nothing else matters except the way I feel when she’s in my arms. Or bed. I know I need to ‘fess up, but when I’m with her, I don’t always think rationally. But she's got a secret too. Turns out, I'm not the only one who hasn't been entirely honest about my background.

Hidden Identities . . .

Caleb is disappointed in his dating experiences because everyone knows the Starr family of the North Starr Ranch. He wants someone to care about him as the person he is and not define him by his wealth.

Alex, exhausted, has gone into hiding at her bodyguard Nicco’s cabin to relax and take a break from her singing performances as superstar Xander. She meets Caleb and, since he drives a “beat up old truck”, assumes that he is a lowly cowboy. He doesn’t correct her assumption, she doesn’t tell him who she is, and they enjoy being together. Will he find out that she also has a secret she has been keeping? Will it be enough to drive them apart when all the secrets are exposed?

Their meeting is fun and the story line is well-done. The simple confusion of a name gives the reader plenty of laughs. Grab your copy and see how their secrets will affect the feelings that have grown between them. Or will none of that be a problem since they fell for the person they met without seeing the external trappings that others see first?

Did you ever just want to escape the preconceptions and expectations people have about you and just enjoy living? That’s the situation for the lead characters in “Caleb”, the entertaining third book in the Montana Billionaires series by Celeste Jones. This is an enjoyable addition to this entertaining series. It’s an instalust/instalove hidden identity story.

Caleb has had multiple bad dating experiences because everyone knows he’s from a wealthy family that owns the largest ranch around. He’s a good guy, but all he wants is a woman to care about him as a person and not about what he has. Alex is a young woman in hiding from her superstar singing career. She’s completely exhausted and overwhelmed because for a decade her father/manager has had her working nonstop. Her bodyguard sneaks her away to a cabin he owns that happens to be right near Caleb’s ranch. While she’s there she and Caleb have a great meet-cute and neither of them tells the other who they really are. They find out they simply enjoy being together. There’s plenty of lust, but the connection they have is more than just physical chemistry. As the story develops, their interest in one another grows and the secrets they are keeping start to feel insurmountable. As the reader, you know everything is going to be revealed and you find yourself worrying about the outcome just as much as they are.

I thought this story was well-written, with great settings and natural dialogue. Even though Alex is a world-famous superstar, her reactions feel real. Caleb is so sincere about everything he does; even though he gets himself in trouble, it’s clear he’s a good guy. Though they both have their own reasons for feeling jaded, when they’re together, they’re both kind and loving people. As I mentioned, this is a great series, so it’s fun to see some familiar characters reappear here. Some strong hands are laid out about the next book and it promises to be just as entertaining.

FOLLOW THE NORTH STAR

The story is the third in the Montana Billionaire series and this time, two strangers will meet, and there will be some miscommunication and confusion. But neither one can deny that there is a bit of chemistry happening.

Superstar multi-grammy singer, Xander, is burnt out and needs a break. With the help of her bodyguard, Nicco, they will stage a collapse on stage followed by her leaving in an ambulance. But, they also have a way for her to escape and go to Nicco’s cabin in Ponderosa Pass. Nicco will reach out to a close neighbor, Caleb Jenkins to stock the pantry and be available if Alex needs anything.
The story’s plot will have longtime friends, Caleb Starr and Caleb Jenkins visiting and Jenkins asks Starr if he would stop by to make sure the visitor at Nicco’s cabin is ok. When you have two men named Caleb, a misunderstanding is bound to happen. What takes place will have both Caleb and Alex fumbling, trying to correct a situation, and enhancing the embarrassment. But, it isn’t enough for Alex and Caleb not to think of each other.

I liked the story and characters. Their interactions are at times rather comical and added the right touch of humor to this tale. But this story has mystery, suspense, secrets, and more. When Caleb and Alex go on a picnic, things heat up in their relationship. I liked the chemistry between Caleb and Alex and eventually, they will each find they must divulge their secrets when Nicco enters the scene.

The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly of people. I love how the Starr family and even some of the locals of Ponderosa Pass protect their own—and that includes Alex. While these stories do not end in cliffhangers, they do have character interactions with humor, that will set up the next book in this series. I can’t wait to see what happens with Boone and Nicco—since they seem to grate on each other’s nerves.

Another fabulous book by Celeste Jones. The basis of the story was Alex had won a talent competition at age fifteen, and she had worked solid for ten years without a break, but her manager father refused to let up so her bodyguard, Nicco helped plan a fake illness. Where she went to stay at a cabin in woods near a military buddy named Caleb of Nicco's. Only there was a mix up with the there being two Calebs. Caleb Jenkins was a friend of Nicco's, and Caleb Jenkins and Caleb Starr grew up together. Caleb S stopped by to visit Caleb J, since he had a new baby, Caleb S offered to stop by to check on Alex. They had an instant connection in more ways than one with their first meeting being full of uncontrollable humor and amazement. Thus started the lie of deception on both their parts. Neither one knew the other one was wealthy too. They each had deep seated concerns that the people they dated were only after status and money. There was no fear of that in this situation. For the most part, this was a very fun loving, light hearted read with a deeper sublevel of emotional exhaustion for Alex. The angst between Boone and Nicco was outstanding. They had each met their match. Midge pulled a prank on Caleb that will have you laughing out loud, and thinking no she did not really do that. This was the most amazing book I have read in a while. If you only read one book this year. This one would be an excellent choice.

Caleb is a sweet, sweet, romance featuring two great characters each trying to keep their real identity secret from the other. Alex is a major singing sensation who delivers fantastic performances to sold-out venues, but she needs to get away to maintain her sanity. Caleb is a member of the Starr family, the richest ranching family in all of Montana. Each fears that other people like/want them only for their fame and/or fortune. Their first meeting is absolutely hilarious while at the same time being sweet and sexy. Subsequent meetings feature humorous situations full of double entendres. A Hallmark romance is casually referred to in this story, and it really could be considered for one. While not as spicy as a standard Ms. Jones book the story is still sexy as all get out and thoroughly entertaining. “Caleb” is a stand-alone story, but if you want to get to know the wonderful Starr family better by all means read the two previous books in the Montana Billionaires series, I highly recommend both. 4 Stars

Alex needs to get away before she loses her mind. She gets set up in a friend's cabin in Montana, and a friend of her friend from the Army promises to look in on her. Caleb gets sidetracked, and sends his friend Caleb to check on Alex. Now the confusion starts. She assumes the Caleb she has met is a poor cowboy, although his family is one of the wealthiest in the state. He thinks she is a writer, and expected a middle aged recluse. When the beans get spilled about who she really is and who he really is, they're already falling for each other. Will she be able to escape the stress that nearly broke her? Or will her Caleb save her?

This is a sweet and steamy story, and Alex and Caleb's fibs don't derail their relationship, although they easily could have. The drama doesn't come from within, it comes from outsiders. The characters are relatable and well-written. While part of a series, this may be read as a stand alone. I have enjoyed all three books so far, though and recommend them all, read in order. This is absolutely worth the read.

This is book 3 in the Montana Billionaires series and it can be easily and happily read as a standalone, HEA story with no cliffhangers or ongoing story arc.
This book was well written and explores the idea that if you hide who you are when you meet someone, exactly when is the right time to 'fess up? This was the case for both main characters. I really enjoyed this story, particularly the bumbling-ness of the first few meetings between Caleb and Alex and was somewhat disappointed this didn't continue throughout. There was great interaction between all of the characters, and while the couples from the previous books in the series are included, there's no requirement to know their background.
I would have liked to find out more about the professional fallout on the changes to Alex's life, but overall this was a very enjoyable read that I'm happy to recommend.

Caleb is book three of the Montana Billionaires series. Alex is trying to have a respite from her life as a superstar singer and goes to a cabin to escape. There she meets Caleb in a very funny scene. They hide their identities while falling in love with one another. Eventually, everything comes out and there is a quick resolution. When one of the characters mentions that the meeting between Caleb and Alex could be the premise of a Hallmark movie, I just about fell off my seat. It was so funny and very true. I loved the story and I'm looking forward to book four with Boone and Nicco.

The book is good. A continuation of a series of rich as sin cowboys and their feisty women. I enjoyed the book but I would say that the first scene where Caleb & Alex met each other was unreasonably long and I wonder with that time why Caleb didn't reveal his true identity( there were multiple opportunities to do that) but he didn't and it added to the misunderstanding between the main characters becoming unrealistic. Otherwise, the story flew smoothly and I liked it and definitely recommending it.

A cowboy who's pretending to not be a ranch owner... A huge music star who's hiding from her family and fans so she can recharge... Caleb and Alex have undeniable chemistry, but the secrets surrounding who they really are may derail their chance at happiness. It was LOL time with their banter and double entendres. This is a wonderful book, and I enjoyed seeing the third brother find his forever. A bit of advice - Don't mess with Midge! Alex

Alex is a pop star, but she's exhausted and tired of the big shows. Her security detail helps her to face an illness and escape for a while. She wasn't expected it to be such a huge deal though. She's met Caleb because he's the one that checks on her to make sure she doesn't need anything. Soon his family and town are helping to protect her from some of the people that were trying to discover her whereabouts. This was a very good read.

This is the third book in this series, and this is Caleb and Alex’s story. When these two meet Alex assumes he is a poor cowboy going by his truck, but she does not tell him who she is either. This is a good story which has family, secrets, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an enjoyable page turner.

This was a sweet romance with Caleb and Alex who have trust issues due to things in their lives and not sure if people want to be with them because of their fame and fortune! I loved watching the interactions between them and seeing their journey to a loving relationship. A good story and I'm looking forward to the next one!

I feel like Celeste has built a wonderful world on Starr Ranch that is full of love and lust. The characters are people I want to know and fall in love with. The humorous situations make the storylines and characters so relatable. I can't wait for the next one

"Caleb" is a very sweet story of a celebrity trying to escape her fame and meeting the love of her life in the process.
The writing was very good, fun and sweet (also with steamy moments).
Interesting plot and nice secondary characters, without unnecessary angst or drama.
I will definitely read more from the author.
