I’ve never had a voice… until he gave me one. As the youngest in my family, I’ve always been shy. That is until Erik Novikoff enters my life in a blaze of gunshots. He takes me captive. Stripped away from my family, I’m terrified of being held hostage. But I’m also terrified of the way Erik makes me feel. For the first time in my life, I’m no longer so quiet. From the way Erik touches me, The pleasure he gives to me, I’m able to grow into a more confident woman. But now I’m at war with my family, Torn between the people I’ve known my entire life And the man who’s now my husband. I can only choose one. Will I save my family, …Or will I save my marriage? Even if that means saving the man who took me captive.
Captive Union is the fourth in the Petrov Mafia series but can be read as a standalone and has a gaurenteed happy ending.
Captive Union is an arranged/captive marriage mafia romance. It's book four in the Petrov Mafia series, but can be read as a standalone. It was great to read about all the characters from the books I've read before- and I loved learning about Kira and Erik's story!
Years ago, Erik stole drug shipments from the Bratva. Bratva leader Maxim killed his father in retribution and banished him from the mafia. Since that happened, he's had a plan for revenge... and that plan involves Maxim's youngest sister, Kira.
“Soon, you’ll be all mine. I’ll own your name, your body, and in time, your heart.”
Erik kidnaps Kira and things are rocky at first. He wants her to fall in love with him because he genuinely has affection for her. It takes some time, but it happens. Erik helps her gain confidence- she grows from being a shy, innocent girl to a confident woman who gains her voice.
Eventually Maxim finds them and "rescues" Kira. She stands up to him and the rest of her family because she loves her husband. She also saves him from being tortured by her brothers.
I really enjoyed this installment in the series! I've waited (impatiently) for Kira's story and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. She was such a shy girl, but she transformed into a fierce woman with her own opinions. I really liked this book.
safety: virgin heroine age gap (20h, ??H) no OM/OW no cheating/sharing HEA ♡
Throughout the Petrov books, I have been curious about Kira. She's quiet, shy, unassuming.... And Erik has been in pain in the butt to the Petrovs throughout each book. I was so happy to see that Erik redeemed himself, and that Kira finally found her voice...through Erik. It was a good read, though I found myself ragey about all the familial interference from the other Petrovs. I enjoyed seeing characters from other books by Ms. Davis. Overall, enjoyable.

Shy, timid young girl, turned bold, daring woman! Kira was always the quiet, protected one from day one. All it takes is a little kidnapping to get her to find out who she really is and for her family to finally listen to her. Eric was always seen as the bad guy, but can you really blame him? I mean Kira’s bothers did kill his father for something he had done and then set the one thing he had left form his father on fire!
Eric might have started out as the villain in this series but in the end, he turned out to be the one thing that Kira needed in her life. Drama, chemistry, understanding, passion, and good old fashion love will have you reading from start to finish! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tropes: kidnapping, mafia, age gap. Steam: 3 chili peppers I thought I loved Elena's book. But Kira just blew my socks off!!! What a great way to close out this series. Sheltered, shy, quiete Kira finds her voice in a big way, and in the arms of the enemy no less! I loved how much Kira grew as a character. Great story. Medium burn.

This book had a lot of potential. My biggest issue though was Kira honestly. I understand she was shy and trying to be more outspoken but it could’ve been better. She’s weak. The whole book is about her trying to be bolder, spicy and standing her ground. She doesn’t. Even in the scenes she “tries” to stand up for herself it sounds very halfhearted . “Just listen to me.” There needs to be more than that especially if you’re seeing your point isn’t getting across. She gets upset things didn’t go her way but there wasn’t much of a fight for a change. Spoiler alert but they end up finding where Erik and Kira are and he gets captured. He ends up getting tortured by her brothers for hurting her. What made me mad is she says she cares/loves him but she literally says she spends DAYS drawing upset with her family for finding them. This is after the fact he gets captured. After those days is when she finally goes out of her way to help Erik and “save” him. And then she’s upset he’s being hurt and still had the audacity to gasp in surprise when her brother holds a knife to him again as if he wasn’t already being tortured for days. Come on now. She’s a joke.
Kira Petrov, the youngest daughter is introverted, over-protected by her brothers & always belittled by her mother so her preference is to stay in her room & draw pictures as she grew up. Being secluded, she's unaware of the wars against other mafia families & within their own family of disloyal soldiers. A past soldier, Erik has returned to seek revenge on her family. Rather than killing her brothers, he goes after what will hurt Kira's family the most & that is to kidnap her. Even though she is his captive, Erik is very patient, providing her with kindness & compliments so as to bring out her confidence & strength to try new things.
As each day passes with her brothers frantically trying to locate her, Erik & Kira spend more time together & discover a growing love between them. Erik is not the monster that everyone else sees & Kira sees the vulnerable sweet side of him. Will their arranged marriage be a huge mistake & will her family be able to accept their enemy as Kira's husband?
A different twist on an arranged marriage as Erik is the enemy to Kira's family. I liked how Erik chose to be compassionate towards her as she's so shy & scared of him. This story focuses more on romance than the inner workings of the mafia which I like more so than the descriptive tortures. I loved how Kira blossoms into a strong woman with Erik's prompting. What a sweetheart he is & not a monster afterall! Plus, Kira stands up to her mom! Love it!

This final book in the Petrov Mafia Series is everything you could hope for and more. Erick Has returned with vengeance on his mind and his sites are set on Kira Maxim's youngest sister. He knows by taking her he will be hitting Macim where it hurts the most and once he laid eyes on Kira he has to make her his! She is beautiful and breathtaking. Erick wants nothing more than to make her his wife. Kira has been sheltered and protected by her family forever and she has never gotten to have a say in her life or in her future. She doesn't know what to do when she has kidnapped but the freedom and ability to make her own decisions while there has her realizing how much her life has been controlled by others.
This story is filled with emotions and it's quite beautiful watching Kira come into her own and stand up for what she believes in. She has so much strength and determination that it is awe inspiring to see her find her voice and fight for the man she is slowly falling a In love with. This story is a wild ride and there are a lot of unexpected events that will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering how it's all going to play out. This wasn't amazing way to end a phenomenal series and you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading!
This is part of The Petrov Mafia each book reads as a standalone yet connected through the characters, with a possessive man who feels like he is owed a revenge or trying to take something. This is the first book by this author I have read, and it will not be the last because this was intense and amazing all in one. Kira is the baby in her family, she doesn’t cause any issues, she stays in her own lane, and doesn’t mind doing what she is expected just to keep the peace. I felt so bad for her because she was her family’s doormat and even her siblings treat her as this fragile little girl knowing she is a grown woman which they say it’s for her protection, but it is stifling her. When a plan for revenge sets the story up for Erik to get his hands on Kira the last thing, she expects is to find her captor attractive and this chemistry that brews between them. As Erik and Kira become closer, she starts to find her footing in the world and he gives her the strength to stand up for herself, but with the history of their families and so much blood has been spilt can they find a way for this to work or were they doomed from the start? As I said this book was intense and kept me glued to it the whole time that I didn’t want it to end, and I was cheering when Kira found her voice to tell those around her off.
In this last book of the Petrov Mafia Series we have the last sibling Kira. Kira is the sweetest and kindest sibling of the group. Her father kept her sheltered and her eldest brother did as well. As the sibling began to leave and get married she was now at the mercy of their mother who was a tyrant and very particular about how she wanted her children to look and act. Kira was the one with no voice. All she really liked to do was draw and sketch. In the first book Maxim had killed Erik’s father and Alexei her brother had blown up his bar. Erik had been hiding out waiting for the right moment to strike. When the moment presented itself Erik kidnapped Kira. Erik was kind to Kira in some ways he treasured and cared for her. Although she was far from her family with no way to contact them she wasn’t really his prisoner either. This was a great book. Such a wonderful way to end a great series. I truly enjoyed the strange romance between Kira and Erik. As always in an Ivy Davis book we are going to get romance, steam and lots of great sex. The books need to be read in chronological order.
Erik Novikoff grew up with Maxim Petrov, but they never got along. Erik tried to oust Maxim as leader of the Bratva. In retribution, Maxim kills Erik's father, who was his only remaining family. On top of that, Alexei Petrov destroys Erik's bar.
Meaning to avenge these acts, and cause anguish for the Petrov brothers, Erik kidnaps the youngest Petrov sibling, Kira, forcing her into marriage. He, however, is attracted to the shy, innocent girl, and doesn't wish to harm her. He treats her with kindness, encouraging her out of her shell, helping her learn to stand up for herself.
Kira finds that Erik has reason to resent her brothers. Can they form a marriage bond, and resolve the conflict between the families?
As a mafia tale, there is a lot of graphic violence, action, danger. There is also familial love, romance, kindness, and caring. This is a great final episode to this series.

This is the 4th story in The Petrov Mafia Series and we finally get to discover how shy and timid Kira finds her voice and love. When Erik plans his revenge against Maxim and Alexi he goes after their one soft spot, Kira. Erik has done somethings in life that had bad consequences and instead of moving forward and starting over he goes after the Bravta leader, Maxim. Erik plans an attack and ends up taking Kira with the promise to cause pain to her brothers and to make her his. Kira is scared and has trouble separating what Erik’s reasons are for taking her - revenge and genuinely wanting her. With time she slowly finds Erik to be a kind man that really loves her. She can only let him in if he can stop the revenge and really love her for who she is not who her family is. This story shows you out of something bad comes something really good - Love! Book Four of the Petrov Mafia, this can be read as a standalone, but is better with the entire series. Once more the reader journeys into the Petrov family, to complete our group with Kira's tale. This one has a huge unexpected twist to it. Kira has been the quiet background supporter of the family for years. Erik has been wounded, forsaken and betrayed; so he is hell bent on revenge. As the story unfolds you learn so much more about these two characters and how their lives came to lead them to a strong connection with one another. The story does not disappoint. Page turner from the start, the reader gets action, hot scenes, laid out plans and several plot twists. I received an advance copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Kira is the youngest child of a very stern and seemingly unloving mother in the Petrov Mafia family who has been protected and sheltered her entire life. Erik Novikoff was once a part of the Petrov Mafia until he tried to go out on his own which resulted in his forced removal, the filling of his father and the destruction of the bar his father left him. Erik is set on revenging the wrongs done to him by Kira's brothers Maxim and Alexei and kidnapping Kira from under their noses is just the start of his plan. Whether actually falling in love with Kira after kidnapping her was part of the original plan, Erik finds that he no longer considers revenge important as long as Kira is in his life. Very well written story that finishes this wonderful series of all "can be read alone" stories.
Kira and Erik's story starts out as a revenge plot to get back at Kira's family for the things they did to Erik's family. It did come across as a tit for tat fight. Kira is the youngest child in her family and her life is all mapped out for her, Kira is very much told what to do and what to say. When Erik takes her hostage, he teaches her how to be herself and it's an emotional time for her. Even though Erik wants revenge he can feel a connection between them, Kira has trust issues too. Which makes her overthink everything. It's a great book, is well written and I loved reading Kira's progress, as she finds herself. Recommend.

4.5 Stars!! This is the fourth and final book of the Petrov Mafia series. We learn the fate of Kira, the baby of the family. She is now old enough to be married though her oldest brother will not force her into a union that she doesn't want. Then along comes Erik Novikoff, an old enemy who was banished from the Bratva. He has regained his strength and want to hurt her brothers. Best way he can is to kidnap the girl they love, Kira. This book has lots of drama and intrigue as well as deception and eventually understanding. Can they find their HEA when they started all wrong. Enjoyable read.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Everything comes full circle in Captive Union, book 4 of the Petrov Mafia Series. A great arranged marriage read. It's Kira and Erik's story. The youngest Petrov and the family's most hated enemy. Erik has planned his revenge since Maxim killed his father. What better way to get revenge than to kidnap Kira Petrov, Maxims baby sister. Erik Novikoff has his sights set on causing massive pain to his enemy and feels justified in doing it. But what happens when all of that hurt and anger turn to something much different. This story is full of action, excitement, chaos and plenty of surprises, twists and turns. "The big bad wolf is coming for the innocent red riding hood".
Kira is the youngest Petrov the quite and shy one, living under her mothers scrutiny. But when Erik, the families enemy takes Kira captive to make her his, kira finds her self torn, between finding a freedom with her captive and the loyalty to her family. What started out as a need for revenge soon turns to more for Erik, when his feelings for Kira deepen, where will it leave the pair, when her family won't give up without a fight? Well written steamy, captive, enemies to lovers romance, a great addition and ending to the series.

This is another very good arranged captive marriage mafia romance and it’s the 4th book in The Petrov Mafia series, a standalone with an obligatory hea. This is Kira and Erik's story. Erik is after revenge and Maxim's youngest sister Kira is the means to get it. In the process he falls for her, wants her to fall in love with him, but that takes time. She starts as a shy girl, but than transformes into a fierce woman. I liked the book, as it’s well written, has a good flow and the characters are lively and belivable.

2.5 Half point deducted for the spelling and grammar. Does No one proof read these days? After Maxim’s book, I tortured myself with the whole series, to get to Kira’s book. It was barely ok. Erik is probably the better man of them all. Kira becomes herself. Until her brothers “save” her and capture Erik. And then she reverts to her old self and lets him be tortured for days before growing up. The mother has no self reflection and no change. I had hoped Kira would turn up pregnant when Maxim had a doctor examine her. But after he insisted he’d have that done, the story thread dropped it. All this unprotected sex in this series.
This is the fourth book in The Petrov Mafia series. This is the story of Erik who belongs to the Novikoff family and Kira the youngest member of the Petrov family. At first, I had some trouble with how Kira behaved and didn't tell the truth when Erik was arrested or when they hurt him. In the end they grow towards each other and they try to find a way in the situation they find themselves in. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next installment in this series.

Kira comes into her own during what can only be described as a backwards revenge plot against her brothers. Eric falls hard and quick for this woman blossoming in front of him and realizes that he now has something worth living for. When Kira's family comes to her rescue half deaf and blind to what actually is happening in her life, everything comes to a head. Will Kira stand her ground and speak her truth. Will Eric lose out on life now that he has something to live for... read this little nugget and find out. I couldn't get enough!

This is the 4th book in this Mafia series however it can be read as a standalone. Kira is taken captive by Erik and discovers some freedom away from her protective family and strength in the confidence Erik gives her. Will they find a way to be together and make peace between her family and Erik? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters, action packed and entertaining. I liked it.
When Maxim kills Erik's father and his brother sets fire to his bar, he makes a vow to get revenge. He makes do on it when he captures Kira at a party Maxim was holding. Captured and drawn to her enemy Kira is caught in the middle of a battle. Will she hold true to the man that she has married, or will she stay loyal to her family? This story kept me glued to the pages to see ow it turns out!

Revenge is Never the answer, and Erik almost found that out the hard way; with his Life! Yes, Maxim and Alexei was wrong for the pain that they caused Erik but he wasn’t innocent in the situation either; then he just had to drag poor Kira into his and her family’s drama….but in the in Love conquers all, and she able to have her husband and her family by her side and living her best life and better version of her self. 💜💜💜💜💜
Erik Novikoff has revenge on his mind when he kidnaps the Petrov brother's younger sister, Kira. Then, Erik began feeling like something was worth living for once more. This story has plenty of action, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Kira is a quiet girl that keeps to herself and always obeys her mom. Erik is looking for revenge and he thinks he'll get it by kidnapping Kira. She's afraid of what he'll do to her, but he's actually very sweet and patient with her. This was an amazing steamy read and I loved it.
Where do I start? I’m sorry, but I couldn’t finish this. There was plot errors, spelling mistakes, extra words added into sentences that didn’t need to be there, which changed the sentence to nonsense. And grammar was generally off. Sort all this out and I might give it another go. But until then, nope, can’t deal with it.
I just knew that’s was why she was keeping Erik alive in the story! This was so good. If I had to rank the series it would be: Maxim and Aria, Kira and Erik, Elena and Nick, and lastly Nikolay and Ana. Those siblings need to just have a coming to terms meeting with their mother! That woman is awful! Definitely worth the read!
