Generation 14 is a novel that ought to have been a poem. At least that would have allowed Chabria to get away with the vacuous imagery and the lack of a narrative. Put simply, this isn't a story book. Its a descriptive script born out of an imagination running amock. One believes the aim of producing a work of literature is to let the writer's ideas reach a wider audience. Here, though, Chabria tries her best to make her writing as obtuse as possible. There are three short stories in the middle of the main novel which are a whole lot better than the rest of the book. Wish the author had stuck to a similar style for Generation14's entirity.
