After her mate lied to her for months, she vowed never to trust him again.
The Human Nurse After my ex-fiancé lied to me and cheated on me, I left Louisiana for good. I moved far away from my home, all the way up to Anchorage, Alaska. Starting over was tough, but I was committed to my new life. I knew I could be happy without a man. But I wasn’t single for long. I met Knox when he brought his nephew to school. That gorgeous man was hot, and he was a loyal uncle, stepping in to help with his niece and nephew while his sister-in-law had a baby. He asked me out, and I said yes. In spite of my reluctance, I fell for him. But every now and then, I noticed that there was something off. I couldn’t put my finger on it. My gorgeous boyfriend had secrets. I just didn’t know what they were. Then I found out in the worst way possible. I was attacked by Knox’s enemy, and my boyfriend transformed in front of my eyes. He was not a human, but a wolf shifter. I could accept that, eventually, but I could never accept his deception. Now that he’d lied to me, could I ever trust him again?
The Wolf Shifter Playboy My pack never had any faith in me. And neither did my parents. When I asked for permission to apply to work at a law enforcement agency, my Alpha told me no. He thought I was worthless as well. Instead of cleaning up my act, I rebelled. I became a lazy, drug-addled, good-for-nothing shifter, one who had no purpose beyond partying, sleeping around, and wasting all of my parents’ money. But all of that changed when I met my Jen. She was gorgeous and sexy, and I wanted her to be mine. We started dating, and my life was bliss. There was a big problem – Jen was a human, so our relationship had no future. I knew I had to break it off, eventually. But then Jen was attacked. While she was in danger, I felt our bond. It dawned on me that she was my mate. Her life had been threatened, and I would do anything to protect her. Even give up my own life to save hers.
After deceiving her, could a wolf shifter gain his human mate’s trust again?

Jen gets tired of her ex fiancé’s deceptions and lies so she gives him his walking papers and moves from Louisiana. She starts over in Alaska and working as a nurse in the ER is hard so when a position at the school opens up she jumps on that. She sees a child fall off the swing set and they should be injured but they are not and something doesn’t add up. Knox is the playboy of the Wolfpack. He’s helping his sister-in-law out by bringing his nephew to school and he sees Jen and asks her out. There is something off about Knox that Jen just can’t put her finger on. Will his secrets destroy their budding relationship?
I enjoyed this book because who hasn’t had trouble with an Ex that’s cheated and left you broken. Jen is a nurse and was set to get married when she found out he was lying and cheating on her and she has had enough and packs up and moves across the country to Anchorage Alaska where she get a job in the ER but she wants something different and when a job comes up for a nurse at the school she jumps at it and when she sees a child fall off a swing set she races over to help but the child is unharmed but Jen doesn’t understand how the child isn’t injured and places a call to his father but he is dismissive and she wonders if there is more going on than meets the eye. Knox is a wolf shifter and wanted to be in Law enforcement but his alpha told him no and so he rebelled and was out of control with his partying and playboy antics and was the packs screw. Now his Alpha has put him in charge of getting the human off his back and to stop her from snooping around but when Knox meets the sexy school nurse Jen he has no problem asking her out and he finds that he is enjoying her company but will she still want to see him when she finds out he is a wolf shifter. But when vampires attack Jen he has no choice but to shift in front of her to save her life and she is shocked that he is a wolf and is upset that he lied and never told her his secret. How does it all turn out can she get past his lie and understand why he did it or does she walk away for good.
THE ALPHA WOLF'S HUMAN MATE (The Wolves of Anchorage) Knox and his human Jen's story. Knox is a wolf shifter who has not been in his pack's or his own parent's good graces. Seems the elementary school has hired a new nurse. Jen had watched a young boy student climb on the top of the swing set and fall to the hard landing below. He was a part of the wolf shifter pack. He wasn't supposed to show off his strength. Nurse Jen was sure he was critically hurt. His father was the one who had recommended Jen for this job. Dr. Montgomery was the first one she had called about his son having fallen from the top of the swing set. After examining his son and declaring him fine. Jen was sure something just wasn't right about all of this! The boy's name was Jonathan, and his mother was a teacher at this school. Although she was out on maternity leave.
Knox Hudson was honored when his Alpha chose him as the one to keep an eye on Jen, when she started nosing into pack business. Jen and Knox had an instant draw to each other. He became her boyfriend almost too fast. She thought he was perfect and that alone was problematic. She knew her gorgeous boyfriend had secrets. But what a way to find out about it, and it was the worst way possible.
Knox came from a wealthy family of wolf shifters. When he wanted to join the Marines or do something serious with his life, it was rejected outright. All he did was party, use women, and spend his parent’s money. They decided to cut him off. Roman, the alpha, gave him an assignment. To woo the school nurse so she did not question Ian’s and Nova’s son’s incredible recovery from an accident. Jen moved to Alaska and took a job at the ER as an RN; it was very tiring work. So, when Ian suggested she take the job as nurse at the school, she was hired. Witnessing an accident, she thought maybe the young boy came from a family that abused him or worse. She tried to investigate but was met with resistance. Knox showed up as the uncle and they start dating. Knox discovers she is his mate. When the enemy comes to town, everything blows up~ What will happen? Will she walk away once the truth is known? Can he convince her to stay with him and work things out?
I absolutely loved reading this story about Jen and Knox. I’m not a fan of vampires so that was the only downside to this story. I have been enjoying reading this series. Jen who is a human nurse, she is tired of working at the ER in the hospital in Alaska, when she sees a job open up at the school, she applies for the job and gets it. When she sees a child injured and there are no serious injuries, she starts to wonder about things. Knox is the packs playboy and he office to help his sister-in-law taking his nephew to school and when he sees the school nurse he asked her out. There is a lot that Jen is wondering about Knox, but when she is attacked by a vampire, Knox has no option but to shift in front of her. Jen is upset when she learns that he is a wolf shift but eventually they sort things out and they have a happily ever after.
I was given a copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
After the web of lies spun by her boss and her fiancé plus being marginalized by her parents over her fiancé, ER nurse Jen Jackson made a new life in Alaska. As the school nurse, Jen is concerned when a child that should’ve been injured in a bad fall isn’t and the parents aren’t as anxious about it as she is. Jen begins to look for signs of abuse and neglect.
Pack alpha, Roman, assigns lay-about shifter, Knox Hudson to pose as the child’s uncle and keep Jen from learning about the pack. But Jen makes Knox want to be a new man and they begin to date and fall for each other. The timing couldn’t be worse as hunters come to town and pack enemies have plans for Jen who learns shockingly unbelievable things. Rating: 4.25stars
I loved this series! Lots of action, lots of steamy moments, and times you get to laugh. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there were grammar issues along with a few times where she accidentally switched pov and that got a little confusing. It would be the "girls" chapter then all the sudden it was from the "guys" pov. And there is a chapter that has nothing in it, that threw me for a loop as well. Over all though I really enjoyed reading this series.
She left her hometown after splitting with her ex fiance because her family held her responsible when it all laid on his shoulders. Her family kept trying to get her to take him back, that was a no go. She took off to Alaska where she met another guy that she is attracted to but unsure if she's ready. He's the pack screw up but has been given an assignment to try to regain their trust only he didn't expect to be so attracted to her. Can she be his mate even though she's human?
Knox and Jen drew me in to this story. When Jen witnesses a miracle after a child falls, it is up to Knox to get her not to report it. There is an immediate connection between these two but when Knox withholds information Jen is skeptical especially after all she endured from her ex. Will they overcome his deceptions, and will it lead them to a happily ever after? I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
I received an ARC Copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. This is a well written book with wonderful characters. This is the first book in this series I have read but I plan to read the other five. There are some twists that I didn't see coming. I don't do spoilers so you will have to read the book to see what I mean. I would encourage everyone who likes shifter stories to get this one. This one is worth your time.
Completely easy to get into this book. No slow, drawn out back story. Jen, and Knox go from just being attracted to each other, to Knox feeling her emotions, and knowing where she is. She definitely had a abrupt introduction into the shifter, and supernatural world. It has a sweet ending.
What an amazing read. I know this is book 6 of the series, but it was a standalone that was easy to read. I love Knox and Jen's story. He goes to show just cuz if you see him and didn't mean she wasn't meant for him. Think I'm going to go get the first several books of the series and read them
The Alpha Wolf’s Human Mate (The Wolves of Anchorage Book 6) by Brittany White. Jen is a human and Knox is a wolf shifter and when they meet they are instantly attracted to each other. When Jen is attacked Knox has to shift into his wolf to rescue her. Will she accept him now she knows he is a shifter?
Even though there was drama, action, and some suspense. There was romance and passion between the main couple along with a few funny parts as well. Very enjoyable reading.
I really enjoyed the story, but it had a lot of mistakes. All of chapter 19 was missing, which was weird. I feel like I missed important parts of 19 and their relationship when all I know is they went skiing then got intimate.
I truly enjoyed reading this series! I couldn't wait to readthe next book in series just to see what the next adventure in the ups and downs in packs love lives and the danger that followed them.
So I don't know how I feel about this book. The story was good, and it wasn't really like other shifter books. The characters were interesting and the spice was great. I don't love it and I don't hate it. Definitely a read for yourself book!
Quick read with a bit of mystery. Enjoyed this break from thrillers and westerns. Thanks, Brittany White, it’s been awhile since I’ve read any of your tales.
I really enjoyed this one. I think it is really cool that they let Jen join the pack..looking forward to book seven on an update of how all the characters are doing.
