After a four-year relationship goes up in flames with her selfish and disrespectful ex, Toccara Wright is a heartbroken and now jilted woman. Trying her best to get back to the person she was before betrayal hit, Toccara focuses on her healing and takes it one day at a time, all the while focusing on her hair salon Exquisite Expression’s. A night out with friends puts her directly in the path of her ex’s friend Maine Douglas.
The handsome and laidback Maine always saw Toccara for exactly who she was and his attraction and admiration for her was always put on the back burner out of respect for his friend. However, when an opportunity arises, Maine loses control and poses a question to Toccara that leads to a steamy encounter over the course of a weekend.
Cameron Butler was a self-proclaimed ladies’ man and conceited as they came. Leaving his four-year relationship with Toccara, and venturing out to dip in different pools, was the best decision, according to him, that he ever made. With his options open and his thirst never quenched, Cam juggles two different women all the while continuing to try his hand with any and every one that comes his way.
What happens when the liquor hits and inhibitions are thrown out the window? A few glances that last too long and a quick interaction in a very public place, leads to the question of the evening. “Would you mind?” Join Toccara, Maine, and Cam from their own POV’s of a sexy but drama filled weekend and the days that follow.
What a great read this was, Toccara is a reflection of self healing that must take place with so many women in relationships or past relationships today. The journey that she had to embrace in order to fully heal was great to read. Jermaine was the example of when a man knows, he knows. He showed action behind his intentions tenfold. Not once did he quit the pursuit for what he determined was worth losing some not so good connections over. Without giving more away, just go download it now. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Maine is that man! Cameron did not suffer enough! I said what I said. He was a total f boy like sir! How do you get to com back and act like that after every thing you’ve done ? It’s the audacity for me! You can’t help but root for these two! I would love a Tone and Jayla spinoff
This was a great story! I loved Maine and Toccara. Yes, it was kinda taboo, but everyone could see that it always should have been those two. The way Maine spoke positivity into Toccara and just gave her time and attention, it was beautiful. Very well written. I could genuinely feel each character 's emotions in their chapters which really went a long way in connecting to them as a reader. Even foul @ss Cam, reading his chapters showed his depth, although it was depths of narcissism and greed. The way his two hoes read him in the end, **chef's kiss**! I really enjoyed this story. Definitely 5 ⭐ Stars!
The story was the most wretched kind of messy story I've read in a while. I dislike braggers like Cameron, and in this story he bragged so much it became sickening. And to think he was not packing goodness in his soul as he thought. And the ladies who messed around with him had no shame. I don't condone cheating with friends, but in this story, everything was fair game. Maine was the saving grace for Toccara, and even that wasn't dealt with in the best way. But... Haha, Cameron.. Poor thing. 3.0 stars.
Would you Mind is a great read. I read it the whole way through. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but you won’t be disappointed. Jayla and Tone need their own story. What I loved most about the story is the characters banter it kept me lol. I look forward to reading more from this author. So far she has not missed with her 🖊
Oh my!!! I loved this story. Maine was bae and I loved everything about him and Tocarra. Now that dang on Shank Shank (Jayla) was funny. Cam was a piece of work. I hope we have story for Tone and Jayla.
This was a good read. I liked getting the POV from all the parties even though I detested Cam. It always makes me side eye the guy who secretly liked the girl but didn’t step up until I get a feel for him. Maine redeemed himself.
Omg I enjoyed this book. I love love Maine!!! He was everything a man should be. I just wished we could see more karma for Cam cause I wanted him to hurt hurt for what he did!!! Great job!!
What happened to Cam? I wanted to see him suffer for what he did or at lease have a revelation and apologized. Tocara got on my nerves with all that doubt. Cam wasn't that much of friend so I didn't feel bad about his ex getting with Maine.
This is my first read from this author and while this isnt a bad book, something was missing for me so I’m here with mixed feelings. Toccara has been burned in the worst way by her boyfriend Cam so she makes steps to move on and the person she moved on with just so happen to be the friend of her ex. First of all, Cam is a foul ass dude. The way he handled the situation was so shady, I feel he deserved everything he got. I liked that there where different POVs. It made it easier for me to read but sometimes their thoughts became repetitive. I expected the book to be more exciting due to the nature of the plot but it just came with so much drama that it took away from the couple really creating a bond. Like did Cam just break up with her have two women? Like what was the end game? It just seemed unfinished. Like was Tara then to teach him a lesson? I wanted a little more out of Maine and Toccara, the sex was good but something just felt missing. Also, the best friend sleeping with Cam, like why was that in there. It really didn’t add anything to the storyline, especially if we didn’t see it on page . It just seemed like so much was in this book for shock factor drama but it never really helped move the story forward. Overall, I would read another book from this author but this book didn’t leave much of a last impression on me.
I really enjoyed this read. I didn't know what to expect because this book essentially had 3 MCs but Cam was DEFF a NON MF FACTOR 🙄🙄 I'm going to start with the ULTIMATE fckboy in book history (IMO). Cam really was TRASH & I'm too happy that Shannon did his ass dirty because he deserved it. He thought he was some kind of prize when he was straight trash ! I do hate that he just disappeared without no type of blowbacks from his actions like ending up at the bottom of the ocean 🤷🏿♀️ but it is what it is.
Now, I could not get enough of Tocarra & Maine. The chemistry & energy was killing me ! When they finally got together, I just knew Maine was going to stake his claim & get his woman. & He did just that. He let Tocarra know this is cool & all but please understand this isn't enough for me. Maine was stepping hard behind Tocarra & I was happy he was paying Livinia sloppy ass DUST. I would love a book on Tone & Jayla because it was just something about them.
This was my first full read by this author & I throughly enjoyed it. There was some grammatical errors, but not enough for the book to be unreadable.
Wonderful storyline! There were many parts to this book! Most importantly you have to love yourself above everyone else! Tocarra had to build herself up each time something significant would happen causing her to become a shell of herself, thankfully she had Maine; because Cam was beyond self absorbed and thought he was God's gift to women! I love the way Maine poured so much tender love and care into Tocarra! Maine is that dude, loving, kind, sensitive, faithful, respectful, hardworking and about his business. He takes matter of the heart seriously! Kayla and Tone were funny and true friends to Tocarra and Maine! I loved the ending!
🎶Girl you got it, act like you know🎶. Tocarra wanted the love she deserved, but settled for the worse type of dude. She is a woman about her business and needed someone on her level. Two inches worth of man definitely........ She received more than five women's share of pain and suffering.
I'm here for Maine, all day. He stepped to the plate after patiently sitting in the cut waiting for the right opportunity. Their weekend is one of those once in a lifetime experiences.
Cameron was the definition of misguided bullfrog dude. He could not stand by his statement, Have at It.
