Great reference book on American railroads. The four chapters are: 1. Railroad history and operations; 2. Locomotives; 3. Rolling Stock; 4. Railroad rights of way and details. Very informative.

Comprehensive and good introductory book on railroads and the trains/vehicles that traverse them. The information is very helpful and sheds light on the lesser known tidbits of information that comprise railroading. Very well put together and a great addition to my bookshelf. Highly recommended.
