Have I really read 14 books from this series. All pretty much the same format but all different, the magic is still there in each book. I think if you would like to escape life for a couple of hours you will not be disappointed. Thank you Sarah Hope x
Girl hates Christmas. Boy sells Christmas trees in a perfect idyllic English village. Sarks fly and he convinces her to love Christmas and stay there. No surprises here but I love Christmas, so…
This is book 14 in a series where each book has fundamentally the same premise, yet is different at the same time.
People who need time to think, a change, from whatever circumstance in their life, find themselves volunteering for a month or so at a bakery in Penworth Bay, a small seaside village in Cornwall. Elsie, the owner of the bakery, has built up a family from the people who have found their way to her shop.
Gabby needs time away from her family at Christmas after being dumped the year before on Christmas Eve. For the 12 years she'd been with her ex, she hadn't really celebrated Christmas, as he didn't like the festive season. However, she lands herself knee deep in Christmas preparations when she arrives at the bakery. When she meets Nick, the owner of the Christmas Tree farm, will her feelings about the season which forms the basis for his business, change?
This is her story....
I loved the previous books in this series, then I lost touch with it, until now. I've got a few books to catch up on.
The books in this series are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.
I have just finished book 14 of the escape to the Cornish Bakery Series. Another Brilliant read and can't wait to read book 15. All the stories have similar formats but different reasons for being in the Bay, once I start reading them I am hooked and can't seem to put the book down. Once I get to the end I can't wait to read the next one. A lovely read for the summer.
It's like returning home when you read the next book in this series, everyone is there ,still being lovely and to join them at Christmas was wonderful. Well done Sarah Hope on such wonderful books.
Another easy going Cornish Bakery book. Simple, predictable but loved it especially with the extra Christmas magic thrown in. I would suggest some more stringent editing, quite a lot of spelling/word mistakes
I've been working my way through the cornish bakery books. They have all bee so good. This one especially as its set at Christmas so has that added bonus. So all I can say is start reading you won't be disappointed.
The plot is ok, always got to love a happy ending especially as it includes the magic of Christmas. However, there are spelling errors throughout the book.
Sarah’s books fill me with joy. I adore the series and she’s an expert at writing them. I hope you give them a try if you’re a fan of this genre - you’d be truly missing out if not.
