People have always wanted to know what would happen in the future, and the ancient Greeks, Chinese, and Indians all had their own legendary accounts concerning the creation of sentience by man. Within the next 20 years, artificial intelligence will become an integral part of our daily lives.
Humanity's collective utopian vision of the future is already reflected in science fiction, and it serves as a guide to help us get there. The first significant movie about artificial intelligence that I recall viewing as a youngster was "Wargames," and I was baffled.
Imagine being able to develop an intellect that is self-governing enough to make decisions without human input.
That's what we aim to do."
