Thoughts...
There are a few points I really wonder about because reading these as a box set means one directly after the other, which tends to create a higher risk of spotting little plot holes and inconsistencies.... ones you'd be unlikely to notice if you read them individually at the time they were published.
They aren't a real distraction, per se, but it is a bit disconnected when a book ends with a death in a fire to then have the next novel mention that this person who "couldn't have survived" the aforementioned fire was "still incarcerated in the prison system and had been since arrest". Unless I missed a chunk reading late at night, it doesn't make much sense. I wasn't bothered enough to go back and double-check immediately, but I might do it another day.
The final book wasn't quite what I expected, and I found it a bit dry and dull. The time travelling between events seemed to be unnecessary and not handled in the most effective way possible. It wouldn't stop me from reading other books in the world of Peyton Brooks, however, as I find them generally entertaining due mostly to the other colourful characters who surround her.

Wonderful Books
I would gladly award this series 6 or 10 or even 20 stars were they available. But I’ll have to settle for five stars.
All eleven books work together to tell an amazing story of grace under fire, of the courage it takes to be true to yourself and honest with others, and the hard choices brave people make to ensure safety for others.
I’ll admit I grew very tired of the non-stop, over-the-top gay/lesbian storyline. Especially since it did not change the outcome of a single plot central device in any of the books.
The author used the gay/lesbian characters as part of the backdrop the story was painted on. I also grew tired of the sex lives of the straight characters as well.
The book is far from explicit and very worthy of the five stars but maybe the next series can focus more on the plot than on the backdrops.

Scary Good
I read all the books 1-11. Every time I didn't think it could get better.. It did!
I loved Peyton & Marco!!! The drama that they shared, the cases they solved, the tragedy they faced each and every time. The crazy, funny warm family and friends that surrounded their lives.
The details the author added grabbed you by the neck and pulled you in each and every time.
Best book since Gone With The Wind.

There are really no words to describe how wonderful this entire series has been. M.L. Hamilton is an amazing writer. The stories are so well-plotted and compelling and the characters have so much depth it’s really beyond my expectations.
FBI Agent Peyton Brooks and Captain D’Angelo and those who orbit them are unforgettable characters. I highly recommend this volume and the first volume. You won’t be disappointed.

Heart pounding excitement with well defined characters.
I loved the well defined characters throughout all the books. Relationship between the characters was very enjoyable. I will miss this group of cops and FBI agents.

I really enjoyed this segment of the series; it was full of nail-biting moments. I can't wait to start the next set of books when they become available. I have become invested in these fictional characters's lives at this point.

Good
I enjoyed all six books and I liked the characters, but there were times that I wanted the slap a couple of them silly. That just goes to show you how well written the stories were.

Another winner: couldn’t put it down
ML Hamilton is a genius. Her ability to keep us the edge of our seats, while creating characters we care about, is unmatched. I read her books while on the treadmill at the gym; it makes the time fly!

All of these books were great especially the last one. Very well written and captivating will definitely follow this author. I would

enjoyed reading 1 through 11
The stories are good to very good. A little soapy in parts but not overwhelming. I think good reads for older teens and above not a kids series.

Once again Special Agent Peyton delights us with more suspense and danger. The Wonderful Narrator makes us feel as if we’re part of the investigations. Binge listening for sure.
