They say all's fair in love... and work?!
After joining his friend's startup, university student Ahn Yiyoung never imagined he'd end up presenting their work directly to SJ Corporation, a major company headed by one of the most sought-after talents in the country: Kang Daehyung. It certainly doesn't help that, on top of being a bigshot executive, strikingly handsome Director Kang is his ideal type!
When his presentation fails to go as planned, Yiyoung's desire to impress Director Kang leads him to take desperate measures... and lands him in a whole new mess, tangled up between his personal and professional relationships. How far is Yiyoung willing to go to achieve success in both his love life and his career?
NOTE: This book contains mature themes and explicit sexual content, including situations involving dubious consent. It is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age.
I went into this story pretty sure I knew what I was going to get: an awkward and timid uke paired with a seemingly abusive seme who uses his position of power to make the uke do all sorts of things that he isn't comfortable with... until the day arrives that he actually starts to enjoy it. I'm used to this storyline and have no problem with it, but that wasn't how this story was at all. Both characters were extremely likable, and once they started getting to know each other, they were able to maintain a respectful and professional relationship. They are obviously attracted to each other, and Yiyoung's unexpected evening with Kang has hinted to him possibly having a slight humilitation kink. Regardless if he does or not, Kang is the perfect person to explore that with and judging by how sweet he's already being, Yiyoung is in for a glorious ride, both figuratively and physically. 🤡 4.25 stars
Not gonna lie, I'm kind of obsessed with this manhwa now.
Ahn Yiyoung and his friends' start up has the chance of working with a big company, SJ Corporation. Only his presentation doesn't go according to plan and the director, Kang Daehyung, is less than impressed.
However Yiyoung, determined not to let his friends down, manages to get Director Kang to look at a summary of their presentation. __ On top of having such good chemistry between our romantic leads, On or Off is funny aswell. One moment I'd be blushing over a scene with Yiyoung and Kang, and the next I'd bust out laughing at Yiyoung and his friend's antics.
This was so funny. And I absolutely love Yiyoung, he's so much fun and such a charismatic and relatable male lead. Sometimes he made me cringe so hard that I wanted to perish right then and there lmao he's super cute tho, so it's chill.
Man muss ihn einfach mögen!
The was such an unexpected delight! Based on the intro, I was worried Kang would end up being too cruel, but we soon learn what drives him, and by the end I genuinely liked him. As for Yiyoung, I adored him from the start. He is bumbling and awkward, but so earnest and kind, that it's easy to fall for him. He made me laugh so many times, and seeing him discover a bit of a humiliation kink was wonderfully charming. That we have all this plus full color uncensored art, and the beginnings of what could be such a sweet romance, leaves me so eager for more.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! This is what I needed! I love a good Age Gap Romance and to have one in a Manwa is 👨🏻🍳🤌🏼💋!!!! Also, the Boss x Employee thing is HAWT! It’s the dominance for me!
~All 91 chapters~ Omg It was so nice to read, I was willing to turn a blind eye to beggining, because of character development and rate it 4 stars.... but 89th chapter just ruined everything, someone might say that I am overreacting , but i dont like what he did to him while his partner was asleep, thats unacceptable.
I already read this three times and bought the physical copy because there are some moments that are so funny and cute!!! It’s a favorite of mine of the genre for sure.
I'm not really sure how I felt about this. I can't lie, the beginning was a bit much. However, towards the end I found myself interested in how Kang will act now that he knows he misread Yiyoung.
the drawing is absolutely beautiful. i love the funny bits and diversity of personality in the mc's friend circle. although i am not a huge fan of sex at first sight, i still enjoyed the book !
Ahn Yiyoung, the naïve but charismatic university student faces an unexpected glitch during an important presentation at SJ Corporation, and he is sure that he has sunk the deal for his friends’ startup. But a series of unfortunate misunderstandings makes him accept a questionable proposition made by SJ’s canny and handsome Director Kang, in exchange for the startup’s presentation getting at least a decent perusal.
What follows is the shaky but promising start to a working and personal relationship between the company’s top dog and its newest employee.
Despite the questionably dodgy start, Vol.1 of On or Off turns out to be an absolute delight. Be it the ditzy but professionally committed Yiyoung, the stoic but soft-hearted Director Kang, or Yiyoung’s painfully shy and chaotic teammates, each and every one manages to carve a nice in your heart. The artwork is stunning, and I think I mean the portrayal of Kang when I write this, because Sweet Jesus and the 12 Apostles, that man is the striding, talking, delivering epitome of the perfect man. It helps that despite the googly of the initial impression, he turns out to be decent, hardworking, and empathetic human being.
Returning to this sweet, funny, and unapologetically spicy manhwa after a long time, and I am still smiling over the adorable relationship between these two office cuties.
I really been eating up M/M romance lately and I’m loving it. This is so good, can’t wait to read vol.2. This would’ve been 5 stars but I didn’t like the way Kang did Yiyoung when he could’ve just had an honest conversation with him, but other than that, I can tell I’m going to love seeing their relationship progress. Also Yiyoung friends/business partners are way too damn childish, they are in college acting like that🙄 It’s a lil irritating.

I rated this three stars because it has a lot of potential, but the first volume felt a bit flighty. I think because our focus was so heavily drawn to one character who was our sunshine-in-distress, the grumpy-not-so-in-distress character's growth felt stifled and cut short. Overall, I can't wait to read the second volume and have high hopes for this series future.
I really enjoyed this webtoon! So often, I’ve come across ones that are basically just smut or not diverse at all but this story actually checks my boxes. There’s a plot, interesting characters (The director is hot but I’ve got a thing for Secretary Cha) and i really like the art, as well!
