Love on the Bayou

This friends to lovers book had my nerves shot but in a good way. From the prologue, I knew what the ending would be but I did not know what would happen along the way. I liked how the prologue tells just enough details to keep the reader engaged in the story. Also, the characters' names were the cutest. 🥰
Phorever and Lovell (Love) are best friends and have been since a young age. Love was literally the sweetest and super protective of Phorever. I loved their genuine friendship but clearly there was so much more than they let on. It was clear to everyone else that Love and Phorever were meant to be. It was interesting that Love sat back for so long waiting for Phorever to come to her senses because she was oblivious to what was happening in her face with her relationship.
I think the author did a good job with the storyline. There were parts that made me laugh out loud, have heart flutters, and be equally frustrated with the stubbornness of the characters. If there was a standard as to what a best friend should be, Love is that! He did so much for Phorever and her, “man”. I will say, I understood why the two didn’t want to cross the line past being best friends and I think there was a mutual respect for those boundaries. But Love was Phorever’s man regardless of the title. I really enjoyed this story; it could also be thought of as a coming of age story because we get to grow with the characters. It was really sweet. I’m convinced AJ was a comedian in her past life, lol! Great job! Hoping we get more of LovePhoreverMoore ❤️

A Phorever kind or Love!
This best friends to lovers was a really good read. Friends since the third grade, Phorever was all that Love saw. He always made his intentions very clear and despite being best friends, he always wanted more! Phor however was a bit in denial. She knew she had feelings for Love but didn’t want to risk pursuing something only to lose him all together. They had a cute journey and I absolutely loved how Love catered to Phor. There were no lengths he wouldn’t go to for her. One thing I will say is that I didn’t care for the way they treated Marci and Vick. They basically treated them as placeholders until they decided to take their relationship to the next level. I honestly don’t blame Vick or Marci for what they did and quite frankly they both should’ve cut their losses a long time ago.

Love ❤️🥰
With certain authors you come to expect certain things and AJ never disappoints when it comes to making you laugh. Lovell’s personality was crazy but he lived hard. One thing I’m secure in is that I never want to date a man with a female Best Friend, that’s a distant different type of Love. Lovell & Phorever were meant to be together but I respected the fact that he was willing to let her go because he thought she was happy. That’s true love displayed in action. This was a very sweet and funny story, I can’t wait to see them back for Christmas

I’m always down for a good friends to lover romance. Phoever was acting a little slow but she knew deep down Lovell was the one. I love when the MMC is patient 🥰Great read.

Friends to Lovers
Just like any other story of AJ’s I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I am a fan of friends to lovers books so when I found out my favorite author was writing one I was ecstatic!
I loved the friendship that Love & Phor had and I also liked how no matter what Love didn’t play about Phor. He wasn’t allowing anyone to come in between their friendship. Although I admired the friendship that they had and how he was always always there for her/putting her first I would not want a boyfriend like Love. It was very clear that his feelings for her were more than just friends. I also like how Jewels was a Kim Reese (from ADW) being the voice of reason and making Phor see the big picture that’s been in her face for a very long time.
I can’t wait for the Christmas book! If anyone is looking for a great friends to lovers book to read I highly recommend Love on the Bayou! 10/10 AJ you never disappoint us 😘

This book glorifies cheating. Phorever and Love are literally a romantic couple with “best friends” as their title. They are both stringing ppl alone. They are having sex without a care in the world for their partners. Phorever is engaged and she already knows she isn’t marrying Vick. I’m at 77 percent and it looks like she will still continue with the wedding proceedings instead of calling off the engagement. And how can you be with someone 5 years and never had sex with them but you’re about to marry him. So Phorever has never had sex with Vick. Her partner of FIVE YEARS. Unbelievable! But she has had sex with her “Bestfriend” Love 3 times already. All while with Vick. And Love is with Marci. Love in fact, took her virginity. This storyline is horrible.

Loved it
I enjoyed Love and Phorever’s story and how after years of Love being there for Phorever and making sure she was always taken care of they finally got it right and she stopped running from her soulmate and got her happy ending. Side note: that damn Marci and Vick were meant for each other and I could not believe the audacity Vick had questioning Phorever as if he needed closure when he was a user and grimy a-hole… I am definitely looking forward to the Christmas story on them hopefully we will get to see them have kids which was the only thing missing from their story…

These two from the very beginning of the book will have you laughing and sighing with awe as you learn about their deep friendship and love that they have for each other. They will have you rooting for them while wanting to shake them senseless at times! Go ahead and add this love story to your top romance reads of the year! AJ Davidson put so much love, emotion, and heart into this story!!

That best friend love just hit different when its right!!!!!! This book was so cute, frustrating and full of Phorever Love. I don't know how Marci 😡 tolerated Love's love for Phor. At least Phor half way tried with Vick. I was so glad to see them just stop all the drama and get to them!!! Love was dat dude😘😍

Whew ! This book took me through so many emotions. I could definitely relate to this story but the only thing is I let my good thing get away. Phorever really got on my nerves she loved Love and he loved her I don't know why she played games with him like that. Now Vick and Marci definitely deserved each other. I wonder if love hadn't heard what Vick was saying would they have gotten married. But Phorever and Love was destined such a great read.

I love AJ books. She comes with laughter, suspense, and just overall keep you reading. This story was well written and it gave a complete background of each character. Everyone could see their happy ending except for Phorever. My girl was blind by friendship. I understand where she felt like he was in love with Marci, but a blind person could see the love he had for her. Love is the man, he never gave up. I can’t wait to read their Christmas Story!

Love these two,although I was ticked off by Phor a few times. She could've save everyone all the headache with all the feet dragging,all because she misunderstood Love's comment. Didn't imagine that Vick could be such a worthless, selfish ass,was not surprised by Marci though. Love the parents' acceptance of both Love and Phor,and the support of the best friends.

Loved everything about this. Best friends to lovers is my fav. Love didn’t play when it come to HIS PHOREVER. 🤧🗣️He literally gave her the world. But as far as Marci and Vic, how did they let them continue to play in their face is beyond me. 😩 Because ain’t no way boy I’ll let someone play in my face like that 🙄. I’m happy Love and Phor got together after all. I look forward to the Chrismas story. 🥺❤️🥰

Phor got on my last nerve. How are you going to shut him down after he pours his heart out to you but then get in your feelings when he follows your lead? Make it make sense!
Love told her several times how he felt but she just kept deciding to put her blinders on. It got annoying real quick. She got annoying real fast.

This book was all that and a bag of chips lol. This was my 1st solo read by AJ I've read collab books and you did not disappoint. I'll definitely be going through your catalog. Phoever and Love were best friends since they were children. Along the way their feelings grew from friendship to love. Love was her protector, friend and her everything! He was always there for her and vice versa despite who they were seeing\ dating. Sometimes your forever is your best friends who is always by your side! A great read!.

A cute love story, with some drama, secrets, laughs, and likeable characters. Love expressed his love for Phorever every way he knew how. Phorever being young and naive she ran as long as she could. A book within a book has a great storyline and a awesome ending.

I loved this story so much!!! Love really loved Phorever. I knew Vick wasn’t nothing. Vick and Marci weren’t meant to be from the beginning. I’m glad Phorever finally opened her eyes she was about to miss her blessing. I can’t wait to hear more about them…
