okay so i absolutely loved this more than i should’ve. adrian is such a cutie and even though the shit he said to colleen, i forgive him and besides he was making up big time. there were parts where he had me laughing my ass off, he’s naturally funny bro. if scorpio men are like this then i want one😚
we also have colleen, i absolutely adore her so much. she’s not a doormat unlike majority of fmc’s and she was standing on business. it took her awhile to forgive adrian, as SHE should.
this second chance romance book is adorable and this is my first one even though it’s a novella but everything went so well, there were no complaints.

Adrian, hero, is a 20-year-old ex-con and businessman who is determined to have Colleen as his wife and mother of his children.
Adrian and Colleen attended the same high school and Colleen had a crush on him. Two years following their graduation, Colleen is junior in college and Adrian has been released from jail and on a mission to find Colleen and apologize for dismissing and shaming her in front of their school mates, to sexually seduce and in pregnant her and to marry her and to be happy.
Colleen and Adrian are likable characters and the element of the storyline where Colleen has Adrian spending a year redeeming himself for the wrong he inflicted on her is cute and humorous; but much of what happens is repeat with Colleen's insecurities and indecision; never-the-less, I liked and enjoyed their story.

Lacking
This was just ok. Adrian and Colleen were better at the end of the book. It just felt like we were missing something important about the two if them which would have made their relationship make sense. Definitely not one of the better stories even thought Adrian stepped up in the end.

This one was better but they all have this low key racist undertone that I just can't get with. BWWM content doesn't have to feel racist. The zodiac element is also nowhere to be seen. I like the waiting and honoring boundaries aspect of this story. Adrian redemption and seeking to understand Colleen was nice too.

I will definitely give it a four because of how 🌶️🌶️🌶️ it was. I wasn’t a big fan of how much it focuses on race. I understand the premise of their past with racism. It just felt cringey in some places. But I still think it was cute.

Although Adrian and Colleen’s story was quick, it was quite cute. A small town girl, Colleen, crushes on a boy in high school, but when he says hurtful things to her it changes her mind about him. Adrian, high school heartthrob, tattoos, bad boy embarrassed and bull*ed Colleen with the most hurtful words one could ever hear. Years have gone by, he served time in jail and has been thinking about her non stop. He plans to do whatever it takes to get the girl and make her his. They meet at a party and she is reluctant to talk to him, let alone wanting to see him. But by chance, they talk and he tries to clear the air. It’s a cute, quick HEA. I received an ARC copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Crazy and entertaining second chance romance
Colleen had a serious crush on Adrian in high school and when she confessed her crush, he humiliated her. Adrian also had a crush on Colleen, but coming from a family of racists, he couldn't act on his feelings. It took him going to jail to realize how wrong he was. I was a tad bit annoyed with how easily Colleen initially gave in to Adrian, but she did make him earn every bit of the second chance. Jamila is my favorite author and I will never not read her books, even if the characters get on my last good nerve. Her storytelling is masterful and keeps you engaged. Definitely recommend this book.

IS THIS REAL?
This was very entertaining. I don't know why this story book just seemed to pull me in. It's has hate, laughs lust and most of all love. Started with a crush, then hurt. You want to not care for him anymore. But that feeling doesn't want to go away. It's Love, settle in for the ride and enjoy.

The story was too long for its content
The author did better with creating a plot and better developed characters. Unfortunately, the pacing of the story was off. Also, the story elements were disjointed. The sex scenes were also lackluster. Additionally, aspects of the story were unrealistic

I’ll just say this author follows the same tired formula for most if not all of her books. I don’t personally like it. I know we’re supposed to suspend belief a little, but come on. The racist man said he wants to make you a single mother and that doesn’t make you run in the opposite direction? No thanks.

This was really good! I have enjoyed JJ Books for a while and I never read the zodiac books. Started with my sign of course! Adrian grew up after his misdeeds in the past. Colleen was hurt and a little to anxious in expressing herself.Way to short but sweet HEA 🥰🥰

Great book
Loved the book. Jamila did it again. Loved how Colleen forced Adrian to prove that he changed from the bully she remembered and he was willing to do so and prove he changed. This was a beautiful love story.

Good book!
This was such a fun book! Adrian was straight up obsessed with Colleen, and I was happy that she did not give up on him. They both got what they wanted in the end which was happiness with each other! Another good book from Ms. Jasper!

I felt that the story was incomplete. I was frustrated that the book ended in like 70 pages then there was 30 pages of 2 other books as previews. I felt that those extra pages could have been devoted to completing Adrian & Colleen’s story.

Wow reading anything by Jamila Jasper, you need a partner or spouse (h£ll even a FWB) with you. That way they can take care of you on the good parts when you get over worked. I know that’s why I love 💕 reading her stories, a girl needs a good workout. 🥰

Good short story, even though I didn’t think the plot consisted of much. At this point in the series you begin to see a pattern so I skimmed the last chapter and just like that it was finished. Two incompatible people finding love, overall the story was okay.

I’m a little confused. While I liked the characters, I felt like sometimes was missing. Did they get married? Did Colleen finish her degree? Did they have babies? I just wished it was a better ending or an epilogue.

Soooo good…too short!
I love Jamila Jasper’s books!! This one was so good, funny in certain parts but SHORT! I need more!! A book two or an epilogue would be nice. I think that this is my favorite of the Zodiac Small Town Romance series. Read it, you will not be disappointed!!

It was a good read. But them having a baby was brought up so much in this story, it was a very prominent topic. So I don’t understand why it wasn’t wasn’t addressed or mentioned in the end, if they actually had a baby. An epilogue Maybe. Unless I missed something.

I felt tricked and cheated. I was expecting a full-length novel but got a lunchtime read. This publication and the character's story ended rather abruptly, and almost 25% of the end of this publication was the promotion of another book by this author.
