Emily lives in the mountains of North Carolina and loves hiking with her dogs--only when she's not thinking up twisted tales, that is. She loves books that keep you up long after you should be in bed.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
I'm Following You is a quick and easy thriller to sink your teeth into. We follow Amanda who has a seemingly perfect life. She's a doctor with a lovely home but becomes terrified after a woman in a red car starts following her. This leads to stalking, a break in in her home and work office and Amanda understandably is in fear for her safety and life. But who would do this to her and why? She can't think of why anyone would target her. As always with Emily Shiners books it pulls you in from the first few pages and you struggle to put it down. The conclusion was quite a shocker in this book and I really enjoyed the cat-and-mouse trope in this book. Another clever read!
Amanda is being stalked by someone who is driving a red car and she has no idea why. Collette lost her sister when she was killed by a drunk driver after leaving Collette’s house. Collette is suffering with her grief and guilt and even though the police told her that the driver, a woman was dead, Collette believes that she is alive. This story was very addictive and dark. The ending was a shocker. I thank Inkubator Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Emily Shiner's latest psychological thriller, I'M FOLLOWING YOU, is a deliciously wicked game of cat-and-mouse. But who is the cat, and who is the mouse? Trust no one—unreliable narrators.
"Shiner will leave you guessing until the very last chapter as two strangers' stories unfold in this riveting tale of deception, obsession, and REVENGE!"
Meet Collette. She wants nothing more than to spend time with her baby sister, Arabella, but she pushes her out the door to get ready for her guy. Arabella has an eight-year-old cat Henry and is not too worried about dating. Collette is sleeping with Mike, a guy down the hall.
Soon after Arabella leaves her sister's apartment, cops are at her door. Her sister has been in an accident—a drunk driver. Now she is dead. It is all her fault when she could have stayed there.
As the book starts, Collette suffers from grief and is in a grief support group.
She is obsessed with the woman walking around free that put her Arabella in the ground. Of course, she forgets she pushed her out the door. Her therapist thinks she would benefit from group therapy.
Then the news says Courtney Barrow, age 41, was found unresponsive when facing the upcoming trial where she would face charges for her sister's death—killing her instantly. Due to being unable to live with the grief over the tragedy, she is now dead by suicide.
However, for some odd reason, Collette does not believe Courtney is dead. What if Courtney is alive?
She meets some people in therapy, but Jackson seems to be a good friend since his wife died of cancer. It has been three years for him. For Collette, it has been a little over five months.
Her therapist and the cops tell her Courtney is dead, but she opens up with Jackson to tell him she thinks she is still alive. She will find her. She does not care if people think she is crazy. She needs proof.
Jackson agrees to walk around and get some fresh air after coffee. When they do, Collette sees a woman in a restaurant and swears that it is Courtney. She must find out who she is. She probably changed her name. She knows it is her.
Mind-boggling! From here, things get wildly CRAZY!
From alternating POVs from Collette and Dr. Amanda Morgan — (woman she thinks is Courtney).
The woman is named Amanda. She is a well-known oncologist, Dr. Morgan. She has a perfect life, a great job, and a beautiful home in a safe neighborhood. She is divorced after the death of their baby girl years ago, who died in her sleep. The grief still gets to Amanda, and she still visits her grave.
Collette sees this woman in the restaurant and gets fixated on her being Courtney, but she is Amanda. Let the games begin! Is it Courtney?
This part is madness but funny in a dark way.
Collette drives around in her old red Honda (all over town the entire book) and follows the doctor everywhere. She even sets up a fake appointment with the doctor pretending to have cancer, and then throws her under the bus with a bad review that causes all sorts of problems for the doctor.
She even comes by her house at night, breaks into her office, paints horrible things on her car, and each time the tactics and stalking get more dangerous, Collette is fueled by madness, rage, and obsession.
Get this— she works at a library. Books by day and stalking by night.
She wants to ruin Dr. Morgan! She could even kill her. She follows her to the graveyard, steals things off the grave, and writes letters to the newspaper editor about her.
This causes all sorts of problems for Amanda at the hospital, her job, and her reputation.
Amanda (Dr. Morgan) is scared and has no idea who is out to get her and why. She locks herself in her home, paranoid. But when she has had enough, she starts following the red car. She realizes the patient, Ms. Smith, gave a bogus address, but why?
Jackson thinks Collette is carrying it too far and is worried about her safety.
However, nothing will stop Collette's plan of revenge. She will stop at nothing until she takes her down.
However, things take a final deadly twist at the graveyard for a showdown when they meet that will BLOW YOUR MIND!
A wickedly smart page-turner about the razor-thin line between suspicion and obsession will keep you glued to its pages-and, guessing wrong about who to trust-until its breathtaking ending!
With complex characters, heart-pounding suspense, and a jaw-dropping stunning conclusion twist, you will NOT see coming.
That last surprise POV from Jackson MADE the book for me and will grab you by the throat. I even moved my star rating to a "5" after the author pulled out this clever shocker! Unexpected. I loved it.
So readers, when you are about to give up with Collette's delusional madness driving around in her red car wreaking havoc the entire book on Amanda (Dr. Morgan), be patient and do NOT give up.
I'M FOLLOWING YOU is smart, edgy, and full of dark humor — about crime and punishment, taking matters into your own hands no matter the collateral damage.
Harrowing and intense―and a little madness. Murder, lies, grief, obsession, guilt, friendship, REVENGE, and distorted/delusional love make a gripping story.
I have read a few of Shiner's books, but this is my favorite thus far. If you like twisty endings, this one is for you!
Thank you to #InkubatorBooks and #NetGalley for an ARC to read, review, and enjoy!
What happens when someone is so hell bent on revenge they will do anything to get it?…..Amanda is about to find out….a respected Oncologist she notices a red car that seems to be following her and even though she tries to shake it off, mentally and physically she is beginning to get scared…..as well she might be as horror is about to visit her and there is nothing she can do A taut psychological thriller, not always perfect in plot but different enough to carry it off and to keep the reader engaged,I wasn’t keen on any character but that just enhanced the story Deals with adult and child loss as part of the story First time reading this author and I would definitely read more
I'm Following You by Emily Shiner is a fast paced psychological thriller that I read very quickly. It grabbed me from the very first page and I didn't want to put it down. Collette's sister was killed by a drunk driver and Amanda is determined to get revenge in the worst way, but the driver was killed herself. Or was she? She obsesses and does everything in her power to make the person "pay" for killing her sister. The twist at the end came out of nowhere and it was a good one! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review. To be published December 2022.
Collette is trying to convince her younger sister Arabella to go out and meet new people rather than spend time with her. Collette wants the place to herself as she has someone coming round.
After Arabella leaves there is a knock at the door, the police tell her there's been an accident with a drunk driver and her sister is dead. Collette feels instantly guilty as she should have persuaded her sister to stay with her that night. Later she is told the drunk driver Courtney is dead but Collette refuses to believe this and wants to find her.
Amanda is a highly respectable doctor living in a beautiful neighbourhood but someone in a red car is stalking her. Amanda has no enemies so who wants to harm her?
This is a great psychological thriller, just when I thought I had this all worked out, a twist comes along tipping my notions upside down.
Can I just say ... the ending had a surprising twist that merited giving this book 5 stars!!!
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is one psychological thriller. It's also a quick and easy book to read. Just when you think you have it all worked out, a twist comes along and sends you down a different route. There's lots of secrets and surprises. I didn't see the twist at the end coming. This is a well written and gripping read. The characters were well developed, and the story was told from Amanda and Collette's perspectives. We learn how past trauma can affect your life.
I would like to thank #NetGalley #InkubatorBooks and the author #EmilyShiner for my ARC of #ImFollowingYou in exchange for an honest review.
I'm Following You by Emily Shiner is an engagingly tense psychological thriller fuelled by an unyielding need for revenge, and I devoured it in a single afternoon. If you are unfamiliar with Ms Shiner's work, add it to your TBR immediately.
Amanda is a highly respected oncologist who one day realizes that she is being stalked by someone in a red car. Unaware of the driver's motivations, she fears for her own safety as the female driver continues to increase the intensity of her intimidating behaviour. Trust me when I say that you will be unable to turn the pages quickly enough as this diabolical cat and mouse game reaches its explosive and shocking conclusion. 4.5 stars
Many thanks to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for an ARC.
WOW! WOW! WOW! A top notch psychological suspenseful thriller with many twists and turns and an ending you won't see coming. I read tons of psychological suspense and this one will be a forever favorite.
Someone is following Dr. Amanda Morgan but why? Someone hellbent or revenge or doing it for shits and giggles? Read to find out, you won't regret this!
As I was reading this, I couldn’t help wondering if the plot was going to be as simple as it seemed or have great twists. The hope of twists is what kept me reading because one of the protagonists was just irritating. I kept reading, trying to rush through it. But, alas, the ending just felt flat and almost offensive. This is my first read by this author, and I don’t anticipate reading any more.
Collette lost her sister after a drunk driver hit her. Per her therapist's advice she joins a grief group. In it she meets an ally who agrees to go on a mission to find the drunk driver. Except Collette carries around an article that declares said driver deceased. But her thoughts and nightmares are telling her the driver isn't really dead . . .
Dr. Amanda is out on a terrible date. Once she's able to flee, she notices a red car that seems to be following her. Dealing that bubbling terror is far from her only issue. She also has an ex patient who seems to be out to get her in anyway they can.
This was so juicy--filled with mystery, suspense, and intrigue. I was dying to find out hope things would unfold for both women. I had my suspicions--they were exactly right but I still did not see the explosive ending coming. WHOA! This is a must read!
continuing my emily shiner (mild)binge read, i actually genuinely enjoyed this one. as usual, the characters are still not good people, but there’s real stories behind why they kind of suck. it was an interesting depiction of grief as well – it shows what can happen when the sadness turns into anger, and can turn you into someone you don’t recognize anymore. it did drag on a little bit too much, but it worked well enough considering the main plot includes stalking. overall, this one was fun. i’m glad to finally find one of emily’s books that i enjoyed instead of hate-enjoyed.
Another great read from this author. It was twisty and sometimes I just wasn’t sure who did what. It starts off quickly and builds up. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
Last summer, Mrs Book Nook and I took our touring caravan to a music festival. The caravan is now 20 years old, a bit beaten up and even if you were to be kind, you'd have to say that it pales into insignificance compared to what you can buy, if you have a great deal of money to spend.
But to our friends, who were camping in tents, it was one of the best things they had ever seen. The idea that it was possible to boil a kettle, have a hot shower or even cook a meal whenever you wanted seemed like a step into a whole new world of luxury that they hadn't entered before. Certainly it became a haven for cups of tea and bacon sandwiches in the mornings.
Later the same year, we met up with another couple of friends whilst staying in the same caravan and it's fair to say that they were rather less impressed. Because said friends had recently decided to spend their entire retirement fund on a very plush, very expensive motorhome that was built to withstand Arctic temperatures on long skiing holidays. If that was the Hilton, our poor old caravan was a sleeping bag in a shop doorway.
My point here is that perspective is all important. And it's perhaps unfortunate that when it comes to crime and psychological fiction, I'm more in the camp - pardon the pun - of my second set of friends. I read a lot of it, which means that for a book to be OK, or even good, isn't really good enough. To get me really talking about it, I have to be wowed.
So it says a lot that 'I'm Following You', which was my first book by Emily Shiner, almost managed it.
The book tells in parallel the stories of Colette, who is overwhelmed with grief at having suddenly lost her sister in a road accident, and Amanda, who appears on the surface at least to be a successful and respected doctor. But she is convinced that the driver of a small red car is stalking her. Is she right? Who are they? And what can they want from her?
There follows a frantic and fast-paced cat and mouse tale. Because we know exactly who is stalking Amanda, and why. We also know enough to have formed an opinion on whether Amanda deserves it. And we can't help but feel sympathy for Colette, even if we perhaps don't understand her. Because despite the fast pace bok the book, the devastating effects of grief, and how this can turn into an all-encompassing need for revenge, are superbly conveyed.
This was enough for the book to do to me what only the best thrillers can: to have me racing to the end, sometimes with bated breath, desperate to know what the outcome of the book would be and yet at the same time, almost dreading it. The only trouble was that when the end came, my feeling - for reasons that I couldn't immediately explain - was one of being slightly underwhelmed.
Having given it some thought, I think it's because there is room for improvement in some parts of the plot. It's impossible to go into any details without giving away big spoilers, but the story includes the death of one character who had otherwise barely featured. I think that the plot could overall have been more believable if that character hadn't died. And then there's the ending itself, which relies on another character revealing the true solution. I wished that there had been some chapters from their narrative earlier in the book, to have added another twist and another dimension to the 'cat and mouse' chase.
My head says that the book should lose a star for these reasons. But it still gets a well-deserved four stars for sheer entertainment.
My heart, however, says that that's a bit harsh and is feeling a little bit aggrieved at having been over-ruled. Because when all is said and done, I hadn't actually noticed either of these flaws whilst reading the book, only thought about them afterwards. If they're the sort of details that don't matter to you, or if you're newer than me to psychological fiction, this may just be the book that you love enough to want to read more.
My thanks to the author and Zooloo's Book Tours for my inclusion on the blog tour. I will post my review on Goodreads, Amazon and my personal blog.
Even though I figured out the connection half way through, it still was a sucker punch of fun and thrills! As always Shiner reels you in with the utmost tantalizing bait & takes control until you're in too deep to get out (not that you want to!) It was absolutely thrilling and full of suspense that leaves you wanting more like another piece of dessert even though you're more stuffed than a Christmas Turkey. The characters keep you on your toes and Shiner delivers the ending with such a finessed punch you're left breathless. Believe me, my darlings, this gem is one to be devoured like your favourite guilty drink. You won't be disappointed with Shiner's incredible wicked plot she twists & finagles. A fast-paced easily delivered scrumptious dumpling!
Thank you to NetGalley & Inkubator Books for this ARC. Release Date: Out Now!
If you’re looking for a twist, this book definitely has it! I was immediately hooked right from the start and throughout the book I could feel Amanda’s fear as well as Collette’s hunger for revenge chapter after chapter. This psychological thriller follows Amanda and Collette through their day to day lives until their world’s collide. At times I thought I figured it all out, well I was in for a shock. If you love psychological thrillers, then get your hands on “I’m Following You” by Emily Shiner, because you won’t be disappointed!
When I started this book, I was about five chapters in when I re-read the premise and thought "am I reading the right book?" Because the description was a whole lot different to the beginning of this story that I was confused. There was no Collette in the premise and no Amanda in the beginning. But I saw from other reviews that this was indeed the correct book and Amanda soon turns up...and she did.
Collette is distraught when two police officers knock on her door to tell her that her sister Arabella has been involved in an accident and was killed on impact. And at first, Collette blames herself because Arabella wanted to stay the night but Collette had plans. And now her sister is dead.
Six months on, Collette is attending a grief support group from which she gains nothing. Except a new friendship with Jackson whose wife died three years before. The pair strike up a friendship and it is then that Collette confides in him. The woman who killed her sister is walking around scot-free having gotten away with murder.
The only trouble is...Courtney Barrow, the woman who ran down Arabella whilst drunk, was found unresponsive in her home facing the upcoming trial for her sister's death. The police and her therapist have all told Collette that Courtney is dead. But Collette doesn't believe it.
Everyone else might think she is crazy but Jackson doesn't. He listens to her and then makes a suggestion - that they visit the bars down the main street and see if they can spot her. And they do just that. But is he just humouring her? Or does he believe that he is helping her?
And then, she sees her. Though she has probably changed her name, she knows it is her.
The woman Collette sees in the restaurant is Dr Amanda Morgan, a well-known and highly regarded oncologist. She has a perfect life, a wonderful job and a home in a safe and secure neighbourhood. But her life hasn't always been so good. She was married but divorced after the death of her baby girl some years ago, and the grief still haunts her.
As she leaves the restaurant that day, she spots a little red car in her rearview mirror. Is it following her? But this is just the beginning of the problems to come. Amanda is frightened by the unknown person stalking her she locks herself in her house, completely paranoid at what her life has become.
Because Collette is hell-bent on getting revenge for the death of her sister and fueled by madness, anger and obsession, she will stop at nothing until she gets her revenge. But Jackson is worried. Is Collette taking things too far?
I'M FOLLOWING YOU is so not what you expect. It is deep-seated in craziness, revenge, obsession and murder. The characters are complex and not entirely likeable but the plot is filled with twists to keep you turning the pages. The coup-de-grace comes in the final chapter which was a skillful stroke of mastery. I did not see that jaw-dropping end coming but it made so much sense by its end.
Overall, a crazy train of delusional madness lies at the helm of this twisted thriller about grief, obsession, guilt and revenge. Not as good as "The Stolen Child" but still an entertaining ride.
I would like to thank #EmilyShiner, #Netgalley, #InkubatorBooks and #ZoolooTours for an ARC of #ImFollowingYou in exchange for an honest review.
Should’ve DNFd I kept reading thinking the plot was gonna change or something exciting was gonna happen… I just read about 2 women being annoyed with each other for nearly 300 pages and doing absolutely nothing adult about it
Read and reviewed for Booksprout, NetGalley, Emily Shiner and Inkubator Books.
Publication date 11th December 2022.
This is the second book I have read by this author. I have also read 'The Caretaker' which I would highly recommend.
I was originally drawn to this book by its eye catching gorgeous cover and intriguing sounding synopsis and title. I am also a huge fan of Emily and of this is half as good as her 'The Caretaker' it is guaranteed to be a page turner!! I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Inkubator Books. I have yet to read a book published by Inkubator Books that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Written before I started reading the book).
This novel consists of 42 chapters. The chapters are short to medium in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!
This book is based in California, USA.
This book is written in first person perspective and the main protagonists are Collette and Amanda. The benefits of books written in first person perspective are as long as they are well written it makes you feel that you are being spoken to by the protagonist and it can create more of a bond between yourselves and them. If there are several protagonists you also get to see more of what is going on.
'I'm Following You' discusses some topics that may upset some readers or may not be suitable for others. I like to point this out ahead of time in my reviews so you can judge if this book is for you or not. In this book Emily discusses the loss of a child.
Yet another absolute page turner from the extraordinary queen of psychological thrillers Emily Shiner!!Love, love, loved this book!!!! Absolutely gripping edge of your seat page turner!!!
This book is extremely well written with vivid descriptions that really set the scene and put you in the storyline. The cover and synopsis suit the book perfectly.
The storyline was captivating and addictive from the first page until the last and I was completely invested in it. It was absolutely rammed full of lies, deceit, tension, twists, suspense and everything you could ask for in a page turning psychological thriller. I just could not put this book down and finished it in one sitting. The atmosphere was perfect for the storyline that makes the hair on your arms stand on edge. It was extremely fast paced with something constantly happening to keep you addicted. Every time I kept telling myself one more chapter the one I was in ended at a point where there was no way I could stop reading so I absolutely devoured it in one sitting!! It was absolutely ram packed with mystery, secrets, tension, suspense and absolutely everything you could ask for in a psychological thriller. I absolutely love Emily's books and am guaranteed to be shocked every time I pick one up which is not an easy feat considering how many books I read a year so a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS Emily!!! One of the things I love about her books is that they can also be quite thought provoking and always end with MASSIVE BOMBSHELLS that I absolutely love and never do see coming. Emily's evocative writing drags you deep into the storyline from the first sentence to the very last and will keep you up until the very last word! I also love the fact that she includes a chapter or two from another of her books so my to be read list has always got a guaranteed page turner included!!! The ending of this specific book absolutely blew me away and I was just sitting there with my mouth wide open for ages before shouting out "What the actual ****!!!" and THAT ladies and gentleman is a true sign of an absolute must read. I've said it before about Emily's books and I shall say it again!! I would absolutely LOVE to see this turned into a movie and would wait up all night to get tickets to watch it!!
An intriguing and clever page turner about what happens when suspicion turns into obsession that will absolutely blow your mind with its explosive twist of an ending!!!
I hope your busy writing your next book Emily as I just cannot wait to see what bombshell twist and explosive storyline you have up your sleeve for us next!!!!
Do not start this book until you have cleared your schedules as you will not be able to put it down!!
The characters were all realistic and strong and I was completely invested in them throughout. I love the fact that we got to see what was happening from both Collette and Amanda's points of view and to know why they were doing what they were and how each of them were feeling throughout. Emily weaves their chapters together with perfect timing until it all comes together with an explosive BANG!! This also really helps the reader understand them more making them more realistic to the reader. I had mixed feelings towards all of the characters and was suspicious of what the truth really was and what each of them had to gain by lying but I never did see that ending coming!!. There were times where I had a lot of sympathy for several of them and actually hoped things would work out and then others where I thought one of them in particular needed some serious psychological help. Unfortunately, I really can not say anymore as I don't want to spoil it for future readers. You will just have to pick up your copy to find out who is right, who was wrong and what happens to them all and trust me you will not regret it!!! Regardless of what I thought about who, each character worked perfectly to make this page turning psychological thriller!!!
Congratulations Emily on yet ANOTHER huge success. This is why you are in my favourite 5 authors list!! Here's to your next success 🥂!!

I'm Following You by Emily Shiner is a highly recommended psychological thriller.
Collette has lost her beloved sister Arabella after she was hit by a drunk driver. At a grief support group Collette admits to Jackson, a fellow member, that she is obsessed with the driver who killed her sister. It was reported that the driver, Courtney Barrow, committed suicide, but Collette is sure that Courtney is still alive. Jackson goes with her to walk downtown, looking for Courtney, when they see a woman Collette believes is Courtney. Now she believes Courtney is alive and she has changed her name to Amanda Morgan, Dr. Morgan, so she is still alive and pretending to be a doctor. Collette is obsessed and determined to expose Amanda as a fraud as she stalks her. At the same time Amanda notices a red car that seems to be following her.
This is a fast-paced psychological thriller which requires some suspension of disbelief over several of the details in order to relish the increasingly threatening and unhinged tale of obsession. It's worth overlooking some little niggling details as you follow a woman, Collette, becoming increasingly disturbing, a friend, Jackson, supporting this unhealthy behavior, and a targeted woman, Amanda, wondering why this is happening to her. Chapters alternate between the point-of-view of Collette and Amanda and the obsession unfolds and is reacted to through their perspectives.
Collette and Amanda are both portrayed realistically and are believable characters. Even as she become increasingly irrational, you will understand that Collette is grieving the loss of her sister. Amanda has also experienced a loss, so both characters are grieving. Neither character is entirely sympathetic, but that doesn't matter in the game of cat and mouse they are involved in. Jackson also seems a very unhelpful friend for Collette right from the start, but he is the friend that she wants.
The ending is a totally surprising and shocking twist which made the entire novel worth it. Disclosure: My review copy was courtesy of Inkubator Books via NetGalley. http://www.shetreadssoftly.com/2022/1...
“I’m Following You” by Emily Shiner is a fast paced psychological thriller. When Colette’s sister is killed by a drunk driver, she sets out to get revenge on the person who did this. The only problem is that the person who did this is dead. Or is she?
What it got right: I loved the short chapters. This book was definitely a page turner and enjoyable to read. I had so many guesses as to what the ending may be, but I was still surprised when reading it.
I also found this book to be accurate in terms of all the therapy and medical scenes written. It’s totally possible for a patient’s chart to get lost in translation between doctors. Some offices aren’t the best in terms of communication so I’ve seen this happen first hand. In terms of grief, it could definitely make you believe in things that aren’t there to justify a behavior. It’s frustrating that Colette seems to blame so many other people for her sister’s death, except for herself. However frustrating it is, this can be what some people experience.
What it could improve on: The one larger plot hole I found was that Amanda didn’t take down a license plate number in the beginning. I know it mentioned she wasn’t good with numbers but even the first few characters of a plate would have solved a lot of problems. The other thing that bothered me was that she didn’t try to install a camera of any kind at her house.
Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC of this book!
I'm following you by Emily Shiner. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yet another brilliant book by Emily Shiner. Collette loses her sister to a drunk driver. This completely tears her apart. The woman who caused the accident died. Although Collette isn't convinced. With the help of a friend, Jackson, she tracks down the driver.
Amanda is being stalked, constantly seeing a little red car following her. It all take a sinister turn when things start to massively escalate. Can Amanda figure out what's going on and why, before it's too late?
In some ways I did feel really bad for Collette. Other may not agree with me. I was also very suspicious of Jackson too. This was a fabulous read. With an added sinister twist. Highly recommend giving this a go. I've not been disappointed with any Emily Shiner books I've read.
Wow talk about a fast paced thriller with twists and turns that are completely unexpected! This book will grab you from the beginning and you wont be able to stop until the end. I like my thrillers to be full of twists and turns so I don't see what's coming and this is exactly what this book did!
We follow a doctor named Amanda who has the perfect life she happy lives in a nice neighborhood until someone follows her which turns into stalking. Then she tries to figure out what they could possibly want from her and why are they messing up her life. If you have been on the fence about this book read it ! you will not regret it. I will definitely read more from this author.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. Colette wants to avenge her sisters death by making sure the person who killed her was brought to justice. She finds Amanda and is determined to make her pay.
The book is a quick read (I read it in one day) partly because I didn’t want to out the book down. The story is written so well that I could picture the scenes as they played out on the pages. The characters are very interesting to read. You quickly know something is not right but don’t know what it is. You need to read until the very last page to get the full twisty story!
I devoured this book in a couple days! When looking for revenge how far will someone go? This thriller takes you through the twists and turns of Collette Jones’ journey of grief and revenge. The twist at the end is an absolute surprise, I was kept guessing throughout the entire book. This is my first book by this author, will definitely read more!
Thank you to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for this ARC
I'm Following You by Emily Shiner was great psychological thriller. It was a quick read that was fast paced and a great page turner from start to finish. with great characters and plot and with a fantastic ending especially as I didn't see that happening!
Oh, my days! God Emily really does create a twisty story and this is no different. I loved the final sting in the tail and it wasn’t the one I thought it would be!! Wow!
The book is heavy with grief and you feel it the entire way through. Characters are struggling with their grief. And through this grief, we see the cracks appear for one character. When I first started reading this book, I couldn’t figure out how it related to the blurb as there was nothing there to show me until it did! Then it hit you like a sledgehammer and golly was I buckled in for this wild ride!
I always know that Emily is going to create a story that is wild. Create characters who you think are one thing but they are really another. And all through it, you are going to love this crazy ass journey!
I love the butterfly effect of the story, and this is what Emily perfects in every book I have read of hers. Every time, it’s the smallest ripple that has the biggest effect and this exploded and that ending was CHILLING!! Jeez Louise
Right when is the next one out, I need more of this spine-tingly craziness in my life!
