Set at the University of Kent in the UK, Maggie is a vivacious student who is living a carefree life. One day she comes across Sutton, a demure beauty who is as congenial as she is intelligent. The pair become fast friends and instead of their shared interests, it is their differences that enriches their relationship. They both help each other gain new experiences and become more rounded individuals. Maggie, though wants something more out of their relationship and although she is hesitant, asks Sutton if they could share a romantic relationship. Much to Maggie's surprise and joy Sutton agrees. The next few months are filled with blissful passion but as time goes on Maggie realises that she must curtail her carefree nature and become a more responsible individual if Sutton and her are to have a future together.
