This book was a favorite of mine when I was a small child. I remember carrying it everywhere with me. I loved nursery rhymes as a kid. I loved memorizing them and reciting them randomly which I still do today when they come to mind. Amazing what the brain retains. One thing great about this book is that most of the versions are quite thorough and include 2 or more verses of each nursery rhyme which is awesome for someone like me that always wants that complete version. It's not a small book either. It goes on and on with about 250 pages of nursery rhymes both very popular ones and quite obscure ones. It is just a beloved book that made many of my childhood moments much happier and I love reading it with the kids.

I really like how all the poems are written. The book is entertaining. I would read this to my little brother. Sure this book is a little old but that does not mean the picture and the drawings are bad. It does not matter how old the book is, as long it's a good book.

It was a good book. There are good nursery rhymes and songs. Some of them are long but most of them are short. There is a picture for each nursery rhyme, most of them are colored in red and blue. Some of the nursery rhymes I already knew.

I’m giving this 5 stars for being something I’ve had all my life (I found it the other day and it still had my address written in it from when I was about 4 - in my terrible 4yo handwriting lol). I must have read this hundreds of times and it’s still cute as :)

When we were little, my siblings and I would pore over this book for hours, picking which character on the page we were, fighting about it, but ultimately bonding ever closer. The nostalgia is strong with this one.

My daughter and I read this together...it was a favorite of mine as a kid and she enjoyed the nursery rhymes just like I did at her age.
