In this eye-opening book, Dr. Kevin Reese lifts the curtain on the medical monopoly and uncovers why they can't help chronic conditions. He goes on to provide his revolutionary solution for healing the body quicker and more efficiently than any other therapeutic approach.
Dr Kevin Reese PhD has written a great little book which basically talks about how the body and mind work together as a whole to create wellness or heal disease. The body is designed to heal itself given the right input. Ultimately we need to be mindful of what we put into it, whether it be food we consume or thoughts we allow to consume us.
The medical monopoly segregates the body into parts and only deals with the bit that the medical doctor specialises in. They don’t consider the role of nutritients or the role that thoughts have on the well-being of the physical body either. Unfortunately the body organ systems work together as a complete organism and the fuel that enters they body has the capacity to harm or heal. Medics do not practice with the whole body mind approach.
The book is intended for anyone who has chronic pain, illness - which I suspect is a large chunk of the adult population. It highlights what we all need to be doing.
I’m a big advocate for natural health and empowerment of the individual when it comes to his/ her own body. Unfortunately as a once health care professional myself, I’ve seen the decline in the health of loved ones and friends and humanity in general. There is always a far bigger picture than the one a medical doctor is trained and prepared to look at ie symptom control for chronic disease- the band aid approach isn’t enough. It’s doesn’t address the root cause or take into account the body as a whole.
While modern medicine is crucial for acute care and accidents , and I will be forever grateful to this side of medicine, chronic disease basically relies on the dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
The book looks at 3 different elements of how the correction towards health is achieved. First of all the posture of a person is important. He explains why. Secondly - clinical nutrition is a necessary part where wellness is concerned. No guideline other than avoiding the Poor Four. One of the obvious is processed fake foods! Lastly- the mind ... and having the tools to control the thoughts and beliefs that invade us as humans constantly. Thoughts can limit us and lead to self sabotaging our own wellness journey.
Re the postural aspect of the body that is not something that you can do by yourself by reading this book. Kevin does provide links for the reader to access his webinars, private FB groups etc , videos, case studies as well as direct , He also has his own podcast and an Album regarding the meditation he suggests.
You will not read this book and have instant practical guidance to make changes. However, it may jolt the reader into waking up and looking at their illness / wellness through a very different lens to the current narrative and possibly want to change their trajectory and dig deeper and possibly contact Kevin.
Quick read and informative. The first part about the importance of posture is really good, but it was lacking information about how to heal the chronic diseases. For the most part I really liked it though.
