As a romance author, she writes in paranormal, fantasy, steampunk & gaslamp subgenres, and sometimes delves into urban fantasy and paranormal women’s fiction. Her characters are often quirky, sometimes cranky, but they all woman-up and get the job done while their partners ensure they survive with all their bits and bobs attached.
A history enthusiast and word dabbler most of her life, she enjoys exploring ‘beyond-the-everyday’ and the ‘time-before-now’, discovering relationship threads weaving individuals through time and place. She’s rarely seen without flashy notebooks and colourful pens.
Wow, Gerri sure did puck a good one this time. She always knows best. This was a very beautiful and touching story. You could honestly feel the true fear coming off of Gena. You wanted to just step thru the book and hug her.
Baynes was always the perfect gentleman it seemed, she just had to find herself first. But sometimes it takes time to find your true self behind the pain.
A fantastic read that I absolutely loved reading. It's Gena and Bayn's story. They have a story that'll captivate you from start to finish. They've both got a past to overcome and an evil to destroy if they have any hope of being together. Can they overcome the past and the evil or will they be done before they even begin? You'll have to read to find out. Definitely recommend reading.
It was good, but in the end everything gets solved too conveniently, and things that were a huge deal suddenly are no longer a problem. They’re over all the trauma that existed before. It was going to be a solid 4 stars, but that too convenient ending took some of the enjoyment. So 3.25 rounded down.
Not only was this a great start to a new series but it was a fantastic introduction to a new to me author. I found the characters to be endearing while the story line kept my attention.

This was a good book and I enjoyed reading it. The characters were likeable and the story intriguing. It make you want to read it non stop to get to the ending and find out what happens.
