Nothing remains of Blake’s life before the club except death, deceit, and corruption.
He was on the road to self-destruction when his path crossed with Jake, the President of Kings of Retribution.
Now Blake is dedicated to the MC and loyal to the men he calls brothers.
The club gave him a family and purpose.
Blake thought he finally had everything he ever wanted.
Until Ember.

Ember hungered for more in life than her parents’ high expectations. She wanted to color outside the lines and live by her own rules.
Unwilling to be tamed, Ember walked away from the life suffocating her and never looked back.
Being a club girl for a motorcycle club isn’t the lifestyle Ember was searching for, but when she found herself in an unimaginable situation, Jake offered her refuge.
The club showed Ember the true meaning of family.

Blake’s past comes back to haunt him, and now a bloody game of cat and mouse is playing out on the streets of Polson, putting Ember in the hands of the enemy.
There is only one way out for the man who took the woman he loves—death.

I needed a few days after reading before I could do my review.

This is another book in one of my favorite series. It has been about 2 years since we've been to Montana for the Kings (not counting novellas). For this reason I started rereading the series to make sure I didn't forget anything.
I didn't need to do that.

As soon as I started Blake's story I was immediately immersed. I loved the flashbacks to see how both Ember and Blake found themselves with the Kings.

Both characters have trauma and their broken parts call to each other. Where Blake is strong, Ember can be weak and vulnerable. When Blake needs light and strength, Ember provides peace.

There were twists I didn't expect and I was pleasantly surprised when my theories were wrong..and right.

Blake and Ember danced around each other in previous stories and I believe we, as readers, needed the time to wait for them to be ready for their story to be told.

I always love visiting The Kings of Retribution and will greedily read anything from this author duo. This was worth the wait.

Seeking Peace is the eighth book in the King of Retributions MC by the authors Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez. I love this series and the authors didn’t disappoint.

Blake had a horrible childhood and the only bright spot was his mother and grandparents until his father ruined everything. It was a sad story. Ember also had a sad story but quite different than Blake. The authors unraveled both back stories while navigating us through some MC conflicts. We can always count on loyalty, violence, alpha protectiveness, strong women and good triumphing over evil. Seeking Peace was another success in the series.

Being back with the Kings has never felt so good.
Blake and Ember both have pasts that control them in a way. Blake allows his fears to keep him away from Ember. They have this intense relationship without actually being in a relationship. But when fear strikes, everything changes.

Watching Blake remove himself from his past and allow himself to get what he wants, was amazing. He was holding himself back but once he decided enough was enough, that man gave his all. He loves fiercely and his growth in this aspect really shows.

Ember is so strong. She is there for those who need her, without question. She's especially there for Blake. She is his security blanket. Her strength is tested but she prevails, showing everyone that she's harder to break than they all thought.

In true Kings fashion, there is drama. Unexpected moments that turn out to be for the better, and rivals that once again think they can mess with the Kings.

This club continues to show that they are strong, and will do whatever it takes to protect the ones they love. I am so happy to be back with the Kings. This story had me hooked from the moment I started. I loved everything about it, especially how they closed out Blake and Ember's pasts. They both found the love they wanted and the peace they needed.

KINGS OF RETRIBUTION MC MONTANA!!

Blake had a horrific childhood and it still haunts his nightmares. Ember is the only this that quite’s his demons but he feels he’s not good enough to claim her.

"No matter what, don't stop until the song is over." I kiss her neck, causing her to gasp. "Play for me, Vita Mia."

Ember was saved by the Kings and they have become the family she never had with her real parents. She’s been in love with Blake for years.

"Some people search their whole lives to find what I've found." A beat of silence hangs between us. "I love you, Vita Mia," I confess.

I love this series! This club is a family that protects and sticks by there own through thick and thin. A sweet sexy love story with suspense out the wazoo. Secrets are revealed and new characters that steal your heart.

This writing duo always grabs my attention and keep it from start to finish with everything they create. Don’t ever stop bringing us amazing adventures.

It seems like the whole club was watching the Blake and Ember show, hoping that they would quit dancing around each other and become something solid. It took a bit of time, but they did and were solid by the end of the book. To get there both of them had to deal with crap from their blood families, forge stronger relationships with their siblings and realize just what they wanted out of life, each other. They deserve all the happiness they could find.

Another Great Addition to This Series

I have loved the Kings of Retribution MC Montana Chapter series and now we have Blake and Ember’s story that was another five-star read. It’s the story of two broken people who help each other fill those areas to make them whole together. Of course with Alverez and Daniels you always get some great MC action as well.

When these two authors put their heads together, I always get a read I can’t put down. I can’t wait for more MC books to come from this duo.

Great series

I got the first book for free. But after reading it, I had to get the rest of the series. I cannot say enough great things about this series. I don't want to give away any of the story. You need to read it all for yourself. It's a great read. If you like MC books, then you gotta read this series!!

It feels so good to be back to the Kings of Retribution MC. It's like going home and hanging out with family. It's been two years since the last full-length book of the Montana chapter was published, yet with Seeking Peace, it seems like no time has passed. This story is so, so good!

Blake is finally ready to act upon his feelings toward Ember. And it's everything! She is the calm to his tormented past. His story is hard-breaking, but it ultimately led him to the Kings. Ember is fierce and in charge of her destiny. She is free to be who she is and has found her path in life. And Blake is there to stand beside her and give her strength if she ever quavers. But don't think for a second she is a damsel in distress.

Everyone in the club has been rooting for them. So witnessing their love flourish out in the open is mesmerizing and powerful. It was about time for these two to get their happy ever after, even when the past comes barreling down and threatening the peace Polson has offered for the past couple of years.

This book is about family. It doesn't matter if it's the one you found or didn't know you had. But rather a group of people who will be there no matter what. And what a family the Kings are: Jake being Prez and dad to everyone, Gabriel and his one-word answers, hilarious-as-ever Quinn with his insatiable appetite... I could go on and on about each member. I'll just say girls' night out is THE best.

Thank you to the authors, Sandy Alvarez and Crystal Daniels, for bringing us one more story with this beloved bunch. I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading the Kings.

Blake and Ember...what an incredible story. This was such an amazing story about finding your family and holding them tight. Not necessarily your given family but your found family. It was such a beautiful story. I loved ember so so much. She was strong but yet incredibly vulnerable.
There were a lot of twists and turns in this book. I really liked when Blake finally realized to stop being scared and go for what he wanted. That was incredibly beautiful.

It's been a long time since I had a book from this amazing duo... Ages...
OK, I'm being way too dramatic. Lol.
It's only been a few weeks but since I'm a greedy girl, I always want more from the authors I love. And that's Final...
Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez are the most spectacular duo that have written, and keep writing, my favorite books, and my all-time favorite MC series.
I've lost count of the books they have written, and I can proudly say that I've read them all.
They have this unique writing that completes each other and you will only realize that it's written by two different persons because you see their names on the cover... They are that awesome.
Seeking Peace is their latest release and it's the eighth book from The Kings of Retribution MC series, Montana Chapter.
And what a series this has been.
Guys, start reading this series from the beginning, and only then, read this new book. You won't regret it
This book explores the lives of Blake and Ember.
Blake's life, before The Kings, was a nightmare. Death, deceit, and corruption surrounded him like a blanket and he almost lost himself to it.
In came Jake, the President of the Kings that gave him a second chance, a family, and a purpose.
He has his brothers, brothers he'll die to protect.
Now his life is complete... Or so he thought...
Ember had it all. Her parents, money but at what cost?
She felt suffocated by her parent's expectations, so she just wanted to leave that life behind.
When a dangerous situation put Jake under her oath, her life changed. She joined the Kings, and became a club girl, but she kept true to herself.
With the Kings and their families, she found her happiness and finally found out what true family is about.
And...
Oh my God... How I missed The Kings...
This book was out of this world and I loved every single word...
Superb plot, well written, super engaging, and intense.
How can you move on when your past keeps pulling you back?
How can you truly be happy, when the cause of your happiness can't accept what's right in front of him?
I adored Ember and Blake. Love them so much, that it was hard to witness their suffering.
Once I started to read this book I realized it would be an impossible mission to stop reading.
I couldn't, because so much was happening and the need to know more overpowered everything.
These two were perfect for each other, and you can feel the love and desire they shared.
I missed all the other Kings and Quinn... Bless him. He's hilarious.
This book will give you love, loss, crime, punishment, desire, and rage. All the good ingredients for creating a masterpiece.
I'm so freaking happy for the chance to read this book, and sad that it ended so soon.
Your past and the people who hurt you can define you. They will give you the strength to fight and be better.
Oh, Sandy and Crystal, you guys nailed it again.
This book was amazing and I need more.
When will we get more?

It feels like it's been forever since I got to read a Kings Of Retribution MC book but the wait was worth it. This book is Seeking Peace which is the 10th book in this series by Sandy Alvarez and Crystal Daniels. They have brought us Ember and Blakes's story and all the problems that follow each other of them since they both have haunted pasts they've never gotten over. Their pasts are the main plots points of this story.
Ember has been a club girl ever since the club helped rescue her years before. She's always had a connection with Blake who is one of the club's tattoo artists. Blake had a heartbreaking childhood and the choices he made led him to the Kings where he finally found the family he never had. Ember comes from a very prestigious controlling family that never loved her. Before they even have a chance to deal with that so they can be together Bellamy shows up at the clubhouse looking for Blake. She turns out to be his half-sister and needs his help. The club takes her in just like they did Ember but trouble soon follows. Their town has also been having multiple robberies they are trying to take care of. Ember's sister Scarlett also shows up looking for her because she's done being controlled by their parents. Ember is so proud of her until the unthinkable happens and she wants nothing more than to send her back to school where she'll be safe.
I gave this a 4-star rating and a 3-spicy rating. All of the main characters - Ember, Blake, Bellamy & Scarlett- have been through hell and back, and now they are ready to be strong and thrive, getting past all the hell they've been through. The connection between Ember and Blake is beautiful. It's nice to see a biker that just needs to sleep next to a woman and not just use her, you don't see that often. I can't wait to see what is yet to come.

*I received this book for free. I voluntarily gave an honest review*

I read the first 7 books in this series in 4 days and then jumped to Demetri. I was so in love with this group, and I had to wait for Nikolai and Leah’s story. It was the longest month. I was so impatient for their story thanks to the tidbits in the background of other stories. I mention them because I THOUGHT I was patient with Ember and Blake’s story. I knew I was going to enjoy it. I liked both characters from other stories and was happy to read their story. What I didn’t know was how sucked in I was going to be, between how fitting the title is, how deep and heartbreaking both of their backstories are, and how genuine their feelings for each other are. I knew they had been dancing around each other for awhile and enjoyed how the story started. I could feel the tug and pull of their emotions. I wasn’t frustrated by the holding back part by Blake or the feeling that Ember was quietly giving him love with what almost felt like nothing in return; it was more like it was justified for their story, which was confirmed the more I read. They gave each other strength, love, support, compassion, and understanding. The way their backstory comes out with all the twists and turns in this story just made me realize how amazing each of them is, and I just want to hug them both. I fell a little more in love with the other characters in this group in this book! Between Quinn and his performances, Victor’s interactions with Glory, Jake and his conversations with both Ember and Blake, and how all the women supported each other I want to say thank you to these awesome authors for this story and going back to the Montana family.

Seeking Peace Kings of Retribution MC Montana Chapter follows Blake and Ember.

They've done it again these two dynamic authors and sisters know how to draw you into the lives of their characters. You can't help but get immersed in the stories that they bring to life on the pages of their books. And they did it again with Seeking Peace.

Blake, Blake, Blake be still my heart.... what a hauntingly, beautiful and heartbreakingly broken man. He has lived through so much h*!! yet he has so much love to give.
His life looked bleak until Jake and the others saved him and welcomed him into their family.

Ember has her own troubled past that weighs heavy on her heart and mind. While she grew up in a well-off family with top schooling and extracurricular activities she felt suffocated and misunderstood. She wanted to be free to live her own life not the one her parents planned out. So she rebelled started drinking, partying and getting in trouble which lead her ultimately into a scary and dangerous situation. That's when Jake and Doc step in and rescue her which changed her life forever.

Blake and Ember have had an undeniable connection for years but they never physically acted on it. While he's tried to deny his feelings because he thinks he's no good and not worth loving she helps him see the light and love.

When Blake’s past comes back with a vengeance and threatens everything he loves his MC brother's and family once again prove they will do whatever it takes for one of their own.

Oh..... the epilogue was true perfection 😘.

I received an ARC and I'm voluntarily leaving my review.

Once again I'd give it more than 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if I could.

Mein Fazit:
Ich gebe sehr gern eine Leseempfehlung!

What a great edition to this ongoing series we absolutely loved Blake and Ember's story. This story was heartfelt and emotional that took more than a few twists and turns and was full of surprises.

Blake's reluctance to claim Ember became clear after hearing his tale of his childhood but, at some point he needed to let the baggage go before the woman he has grown to love starts to move on without him.Your heart bleed for the child who had to endure what he did but, out of those ashes he gained and beautifully and loving family.

Ember, girl you were filled with tons and tons and secrets we didn't expect any of them but, can't say that we were all that surprised she was a strong and beautiful brave woman. Loved her and Blake together they made an awesome pair a soothing partner for one another.

Loved getting to know both Ember and Blake's past's although it hurt our heart we loved their characters even more for overcoming their pasts and turning it into something positive.

Overall this was a delightful read that had us laughing out loud due to Quinn's antics the brothers ribbing one another and Glory and her larger than life attitude. Loved that so many of the cast of the Kings previous books made their way into Blake and Ember's story that made it a lot of fun. The suspense and drama added to what the King's do best and that is to protect their family. Let's end this by saying sorry Blake but, Quinn is still our favorite brother. LOL

Tragic, haunting, and emotional read.

Blake's past still haunts him, it was brutal and painful. It's the main reason he doesn't act on his feelings for Ember, a club girl. He believes that he's not good enough for her, so he keeps his feelings locked up tight, but when he can't stay away any longer, a surprise shows up and his world is flipped.

Ember comes from a prominent family, but that doesn't mean she was showered with love and affection. It just means that she decided to rebel, but during one of those rebellious times she found herself in a lot of trouble with no escape, until two bikers stood up and took out of harms way, now she has a family of her choice and people who let her be herself and follow her own dreams. She just wishes that Blake felt for her half as much as she feels for him.

This was a tragic story with a haunting past for one character that followed him all the time. His demons aren't far away at any given time, but his new family helps him keep a tight reign on the thoughts that bring him down. Blake is a good man that survived an awful childhood and just wants some good in his life. I loved the story and the characters. I've loved this series so far and Seeking Peace was a great addition to the series. I look forward to more books in the Kings of Retribution Montana MC Series to come.

Why do authors find it fun to play with my emotions the way they do? Blake and Ember are two broken souls that are perfect for each other. We get both of their backgrounds and even though they are very different they are the same in some ways.
My heart hurt for everything that Blake had endured when he was young. It carved him into the man he is today, but it also showed him exactly how not to be. He is a man of his word, is loyal to those he considers family, and when he loves he loves with everything he is. His past is his biggest obstacle when it comes to living his life.
I was shocked by Ember's background. I don't know what I expected but not that. She is a strong independent woman who lives her life with no regrets. I love that about her. I also love the fact that she may be a club girl, but never has flaunted or disrespected anyone. She has built a world for herself and has come out on top.
When these two finally get together it is explosive. There is nothing Blake wouldn't do for Ember. She is his soothe sayer, and he is her backbone. When she needs to find the confidence we all know she has he is there to help her find her voice. When his past comes a knocking the Kings do what they do best and that is taking out the trash.

Seeking Peace is book eight in the series Kings of Retribution Montana Chapter. This book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading in series order so you know the supporting characters better and have a better understanding of the club and their dynamic. This story focused on Blake and Ember.

Blake is a man haunted by his past. He's stoic and closed off, but he is loyal, considerate, and protective of the people he cares about. Especially Ember who he has an unlikely friendship with, but longs for more. Ember is more then just a club girl to the Kings, she's family, which is something she's always wanted after feeling never good enough with her own family. She's kind, caring, and compassionate.

Their journey was easy to read,  entertaining, and unpredictable with a mix of action, violence, angst, plot twists, and some sweet moments. There was strong character development and supporting characters. I loved the little revenge addition at the end too. In Hitchcock's words; "Revenge is sweet and not fattening” 😉. Lastly, there was a hint that there's a least another book to come in the Montana Chapter, Grey's story, so looking forward to that!

Review

Another first book by two new to me authors. This book was fast paced, full of feels, lots of danger and action from a past that catches up, found families, characters wanting to escape either from their pasts or a suffocating home, intense attraction and chemistry and so much more.

This is Blake’s story and how he comes to find himself taken in by the Kings Of Retribution MC and finding a family and brotherhood that’s loyal and protective. He thought he’d finally had everything he needed and wanted until Ember comes along. Ember just wanted to live her life and be free of her family and their expectations, but when a situation arises and she’s offered refuge she takes it even if it means being a club girl. Then she meets Blake, and their story is one you’ll have to read to find out what happens when their lives collide.

You’ll definitely find this a book that’s hard to put down once you start it. It’s emotional and intense. A definite must read and I’m looking forward to reading the previous books in this series and any other books these two authors have together and separately. Highly recommend it!! Absolutely loved it from start to finish.

The Kings of Retribution MC, Montana Chapter was one of the series of books that pulled me in to the MC world. With each new book, this family of friends has imbedded me their world to the point that I almost feel like I know them. Over the years they’ve added to their family and even brought in folks from Louisiana for a little extra spice and it’s always a thrill to get a new story. Seeking Peace is the newest story and it is fabulous. Blake and Ember’s story isn’t always easy to read but it’s helped form the people they are now and it’s important to see what they’ve lived with and eventually overcome. These two are a little cracked in places but they’re not broken and together they’re amazing. Loved spending time with the other Kings, especially Jake and Gabriel…they’re my favorites. This book has it all, excitement, suspense, lots of humor and totally sexy…just the whole package. And without giving anything away, the last part of the last chapter is priceless! Now I’m waiting patiently…not…for who’s up next…can’t wait! Great job ladies…you’ve done it again!

I opened this book up and it was like coming home. I absolutely adore the Louisiana chapter of the Kings but it all started in Polson. It will always have a special place in my heart and the characters have become family to me and so many other readers. Blake's story was a long time coming but he had some things to work out before he could move on with his life. Oh the heartache Blake and Ember have gone through, especially Blake. They both found their place, their home in the Kings. Blake was so twisted up in his head and heart, it kept him from making his feelings for her known. Once he stops running, he finds she is truly everything he could have ever hoped for. Ember has a quiet strength, loving him with every breath in her body, hoping someday he would finally claim her. My heart soared at the end, seeing them so happy. The cherry on top of this glorious sundae of a book was the payback that Blake gives her. Truly a chef's kiss moment and the perfect way to bring their story to a close!

Amazing read

Love this book. Love Ember and Blake’s romance story. Readers first meet The Ember in book 3.5 when she is introduced as a club girl. This book starts Blake doing rounds to make sure everything is safe. Ember and Blake love each other but Blake thinks he’s too broken to be with Ember. A couple of his brothers have told him that he should claim her. After someone broke into Grace’s bakery is when Blake claims Ember. Everything is going well when Bellamy, Blake’s half sister ends up at the clubhouse. The club finds out that she ran away because Bellamy learned that she has a brother from her mother’s (a drug addict) boyfriend. Bellamy is scared of the Kings men due to who her mother associates with. Since Bellamy ended at the Kings clubhouse, the Kings end up preparing for war. With all this going, Ember’s sister, Scarlet come to the clubhouse. She tells Ember that she is done with their parents high expectations. Love how Ember and Blake end up together with several trials along the way. Worth the read

I love these two authors stories. Their MC stories have you hooked from beginning to end😊

Blake didn't have a good childhood. He could only rely on his mother and grandparents but that didn't last long either. Because of this he has some issues dealing with his past. Ember seems to be the only one that makes him feel able to deal with his nightmares. But he feels that his boy good enough for her...

Ember didn't have an easy life either. Being saved by the Kings was her salvation and they became her family. Being in love with Blake just added to her joy, but getting over her own issues could it stand in the way of her happiness, or could she put it all behind her and get happily ever after

I love this series. As usual this duo always gives you good time with their stories 😁 Blake and Ember have been doing this dance for a whike, so seeing them get their story and dealing with their pasts made for an amazing story😊 lots of heartbreaking moments but also a time for heing doe these two 💖 Loved going on their journey and can't wait for more 😍

Blake's life was very bad with no good ending before he came across the President of the Kings of Retribution MC, and honestly, he was so blessed for that moment in time. He's now a loyal brother of the Club, but that past did leave a mark on him. Ember has her own share of secrets that hurt my heart, but she decided to live life on her terms, and Jake (the Prez) helped her out of a bind as well which put these two in each other's path. I'm not saying the journey was easy, but it was worth it as each provided the other just what they needed when they needed it, not to mention the Kings had their backs. However, this world isn't the easiest as enemies don't care who they strike when they want to hurt a MC, and Ember got caught in the crossfire, but luckily, Blake is willing to burn the world down to get her back. This story had it all, heat, humor, suspense with twists coming in hot, action, and maybe just maybe a happily ever after at the end of the day! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Actionreich

Leseexemplar. Dies hat meine Meinung in keiner Weisen beeinflusst.

🌶: 2/5

Seeking Peace is book 8 of The Kings Of Retribution MC Montana Chapter. I love this series ever since I started reading them! This book follows Blake & Ember's love story. It is more of a plot driven story with some spice here and there - which didn't bother me. It is a medium to fast pace story. I love the character developments for both the characters. Blake was able to overcome the doubts he had when it came to having a relationship with Ember due to his past and the guilt that his been carrying. Ember is such a relatable character in terms of her relationship with her parents. I am so glad that she found what she was passionate about and was able to find the courage to stand up to her parents. They aren't the greatest people.

Overall, Sandy & Crystal did it again and delivered a great story! I am curious about Scarlet and Bellamy though and wonder if they will have their own story.
