This is a well-written, entertaining, heart warming time travel romance novella. I listened to the audio version of this book, and the narrator, Stacey Glemboski, has a lovely voice and does an excellent job depicting the characters and their personalities.

Totally believable
Finally a Christmas story that isn't a romance. A lovely story about family, togetherness,and magic. I love all the characters,especially Dodie. This should become a Hallmark movie. You should consider writing a series of short tales featuring Angelo.

Karen has done it again! A TIME-TRAVEL CHRISTMAS is a novella of HOPE and MIRACLES! It truly touched my heart and will too with yours! If you twist up IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE and THE TIME MACHINE, you get a marvelous holiday tale! It’s Christmas Eve 2022, and life couldn’t get any worse for Elizabeth. She is dumped by her boyfriend and her job is downsized. And the worse news she received too was the unexpected death of her beloved grandmother. Instead of spending the holidays together, Elizabeth will be planning her funeral. Heartbroken, she makes a wish on the brightest star in the night sky for to see her Grandma one more time. Then all of a sudden, she is transported back to 1957, and maybe her wish came true by miracles and a angel! A beautiful gifted novella I loved this holiday season! Karen put her whole heart into his book and you MUST READ this book!

If you are looking for the perfect Christmas story to put you in the mood or to just give you the warm fuzzies, this is the book I recommend for you. A Time Travel Christmas by Karen McQuestion. It is a novella and makes for a nice evening spent in front of the fire with a nice read. What more could you ask for this time of year except for a warm drink and a cosy throw?
This is a time-travel story. I am not a huge fan of the genre but, I've come to realize that anything Karen McQuestion writes, I'm gonna love. She is very talented and writes in many different genres with ease. I absolutely love this story. It takes place in the present and back in 1957. I was a toddler in 1957 and enjoyed the picture she painted of the time period.
I loved the few characters that there were. There weren't many but, each of them are special in their own way. The town Doctor plays Santa and her taxi driver is the same person in both time periods although his car is not the same. Her grandmother is the same and she gets to meet her great grandparents. How special is that?
I really liked this book and wish that it could have gone of longer than it did but, it was really just perfect as it was. The book comes is up for pre-order and comes out the day after Thanksgiving. You'll be ready to put your feet up and enjoy some relaxing time. Go ahead and order it now and it will be waiting for you in your inbox.

Heart And Magic In A Short, Quick Read. This is a perfect Christmas story for anyone who has ever wanted to spend just "one more day" (as Diamond Rio once sang) with a lost loved one at Christmas. Through some scifi/ magical time travel, our lead here gets to do just that - going back to one pivotal night when her grandmother was just a young girl that would change her grandmother - and her entire family - for generations to come. As someone who has been very vocal about wondering about just such tragedies in his own grandparents' lives, this was particularly moving. But even more generally, this is a great tale that somehow manages to mashup both The Family Man (one of my all time favorite Christmas movies) and Balto (a movie my youngest brother was *obsessed* with as a kid). While lighthearted overall, there is a very real, very visceral threat of imminent danger - and even death - hanging throughout the middle 80% ish of the tale, and this really drives how quick of a read this is - you won't want to put it down for fear that on the next page someone might die. And yet, the Christmas magic - complete with family and snow (meaning Yankee Christmas, as it rarely snows at that time in the South ;)) and plenty of warmth and surprise - is also present throughout the tale. Very much recommended.

What a beautiful Christmas book. Once of my favorite subjects in novels is time travel and this was plain magical! I loved this story. It was recommended in a reader's group on Facebook and I fully endorse that recommendation.

Just what I needed!
I love time travel books and this one was exceptional. Christmas can be a hard time for many, but this story so cheered me up. I still miss my Grandmother and I am 70! Keep writing Karen..love u our books!

Christmas is the season of miracles and Ms. McQuestion has given us a novel with a miracle story that touched my heart. I felt connected right away with the main character, Elizabeth, and her anguishing situation in life. She's so looking forward to spending Christmas with her beloved grandmother when the terrible news comes to her about her passing. Elizabeth just wants to spend one last time with her grandmother. That wish comes true in the unexplainable time travel that takes her back to 1957 and another miracle she's given to change a tragic event. The story is captivating and brings the meaning that hope and love can be possible through generations. This is a wonderful Christmas story that truly brings out the holiday spirit and was one I enjoyed so very much. I am grateful for the opportunity to read this wonderful novella by one of my favorite authors. I recommend this for a sweet holiday read. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my heartfelt own.

A Time-Travel Christmas by Karen McQuestion is a Christmas novella about Elizabeth Rubi from 2022 and sisters Dodie and Betsy Turner from 1957 on Christmas Eve. It is a lovely story that is extremely magical and heartwarming. I loved it and have Freida McFadden to thank for the recommendation. Elizabeth’s Christmas has been devastating to her. She lost her job because of downsizing, her boyfriend broke up with her and her beloved grandmother died of a heart attack. Could it get any worse? She had nowhere to live since her boyfriend had asked her to vacate his apartment. She was going to live with her grandmother, until she suddenly died. She was to meet her at the luxurious Claremore Hotel that Anthony, a driver from the airport, had taken her to. A terrible snowstorm occurs and the power is lost at the hotel. Elizabeth walks outside and slips and falls and enters a magical world that she doesn’t understand. The detail and accuracy of Christmas past and life in 1957 was spot-on. The story was enchanting and very entertaining. A five-star read for the holidays which I highly recommend.

If wishing on a star could really make the wish come true, what would you wish for? Elizabeth wished she could see her Grandma one more time. But the stars played a funny trick on her. Elizabeth was able to interact with her Grandma when she was a child. In doing so, Elizabeth was able to understand so much about her Grandma’s past and thereby have an even stronger connection than the one she felt.
They say to “walk a mile in someone’s shoes” gives you a deeper understanding and appreciation for what that person is going through. But what if you could experience it first hand? Actually, be present and interact with them without them knowing who you really are.
I think life events can alter our personalities, but few around us can really understand what happened so long ago and how it really affected us. Elizabeth is able to see her Grandma in a whole new light.
This time travel book is so well done! I think time travel books are hard to get into sometimes, but this one really drew me in quickly. It is a great evening read.

A Time-Travel Christmas by Karen McQuestion is a must read for this holiday season. This is a heartwarming story written by a very talented author. It is a lighthearted story that will bring tears to your eyes……and I mean tears….have the tissues near by! Ms. McQuestion brings the magic of Christmas back with this story! It will make you believe in Christmas miracles again, and isn’t that what this season is about!?!? I highly recommend you pick up this very charming novella. No one but Karen McQuestion can write such a wonderful Christmas story.

Elizabeth's life is not going so well. The love of her life broke up with her, she lost her job, and she has to return to Wisconsin to clean out her recently deceased grandmother's house. Her parents are on a Caribbean cruise and can't be there for her. She gets mixed up in a blizzard and accepts a ride from a cab driver named Angelo.
Then the magic begins. Can you make a better present by changing one thing for a little girl in the past?

Two Christmas wishes, made upon sight of the same bright star in the December sky. Yet they were made sixty-five years apart and are somehow beautifully connected. Can wishes upon a star truly come true? This is a magical story full of hope, heart and love.
In this brief story, Karen McQuestion has done a wonderful job of bringing the wonder, joy and heart to the Christmas season and into the souls of her readers. The writing is tender and thoughtful. It amazes me how an author can pack an entire wonderful story with good character development and scene-setting into so few pages.
If you're looking for a feel-good holiday story to warm your heart on a cold winter's night, then this may well be the book for you.

Oh, what a wonderful Christmas journey! I listened to the audiobook (not listed here on goodreads) and I could not stop listening. It kept me up in the wee hours. I loved this Christmas miracle tale!

This is the perfect story to read during the Holiday Season. It is a quick read, sweet and heartwarming. I wish Hallmark would make this into a movie or even a series. If you’re on the fence about reading this don’t hesitate! It’s SO good ♥️🎄
