Too many Christians have settled for experiencing small doses of God's supernatural love. But what if your life was marked by an outpouring of His power, answered prayers, miracles and victory?
In this practical, eye-opening book, Dr. Kynan Bridges shows that this is exactly the life God designed you for--through Christ, you have the divine right to operate in the miraculous. Why? Because miracles are deliberate, redeeming, life-changing displays of God's love in action. In these pages you will discover not only the biblical foundation for living out the miraculous every day, but also how to sustain a supernatural lifestyle through faith, compassion, humility and worship.
Miracles are your spiritual inheritance, and the Holy Spirit is waiting to partner with you. It's time to let His love and kingdom overflow in your life and change the lives of those around you.
"God loves you. He desires to manifest His love through you. We minister in the supernatural to demonstrate that God loves people. He loves people so much, He is willing to intervene in their affairs. Isn't that good news?"--Dr. Kynan Bridges
Kynan Bridges states that all his life, he wondered about God and the supernatural, from the first time he read the Bible, he knew intuitively there must be something more to this world than what he could see with his natural eyes. What are miracles? The author states that the Biible says that Jesus of Nazareth was “approved” of God by miracles, signs and wonders. “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know” (Acts 2: 22 KJV).
Kynan Bridges states that one of the most powerful keys to releasing miracles as exemplified by our Lord, is the key of compassion. The Bible says, “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd” (Matthew 9: 36). He, further, states that we must spend time in prayer so that we can cultivate the heart of God, because there is a connection between love and miracles.
Throughout this book the author talks about keys to walking in the supernatural power of God, primarily the importance of faith, and that he wants the readers to establish a foundation for what biblical faith is and why it is so necessary. He quotes the following scripture: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (11: 1).
The author discusses the fact that our faith starts and ends with Jesus, stating that He is the Source; He is the “chief cornerstone” (Ephesians 2: 20). He states thst not only must we have a solid knowledge of the Word of God, but we must respond to the Word of God with corresponding actions stating that James said, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves ” (James 1: 22). He also said, “Faith without works is dead” (2: 20).
The author provides the following practical steps to help readers acquire faith that isrooted in the Word of God: 1. Study and meditate on the Word of God. 2. Ask God to speak to you through His Word. 3. Release your faith for what He has promised. 4. Act on the directives and promptings of the Holy Spirit. 5. Thank Him for the manifestation of His Word. 6. Repeat.
The author discusses many other keys to walking in the supernatural power of God, such: 1. Hearing God’s Voice and obeying His Word. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10: 27 2. Prayer is our spiritual power source. "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5: 16 (KJV) 3. Action Activates Miracles, take the leap. "Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus." Matthew 14: 28– 29
The author discusses many other aspects and qualities that we need to possess and act on in order to release the power of miracles in our lives on a daily basis.
I enjoyed reading this book, especially, the fact that the author supports his his writing with pertinent scripture. As Kynan states Ready, Set, Go, and he provides the following practical steps for walking in the miraculous: 1. Availability 2. Belief 3. Compassion These are but a few steps discussed.
The author provides summary questions and a heart-warming Miracle Activation Prayer at the end of each chapter. Highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to gain a better way of living by faith and learning to have more compassion through love.
In Releasing Miracles, Kynan Bridges explained how miracles are provided as a way to display God’s love in action to the world. He beings the book by sharing the powerful impact of the man located at the pool of Bethesda. He was paralyzed and he struggled and was unable to move closer to the healing pool for many years- say close to 37 years. He was commanded to take up his bed and walk. He was instantly healed by God and we see how God performed a miracle for an undeserving man. He explained the meaning of Bethesda and how this means, “a house of mercy”. He explained how this was a miracle that changed his entire life. He defined miracles as, “an intervention in or an overriding of a nature law or process”. He emphasized the importance of understanding that miracles are a part of our spiritual inheritance provided to us from Jesus because of Him dying for our sins.
In the book, he revealed a personal story from his wife about how she received a miracle. She was diagnosed with a cyst on her ovaries. She would daily declare that the cyst would be removed. She felt a warm sensation on her ovaries and she described as feeling like it was on fire burning up. This occurred for a few weeks until she went back to the doctors to get a check-up. It had totally disappeared completely. He explained how no one else land hands on her to pray for her. She was healed a different way and she strongly believed for her own miracle.
I would recommend this awesome book about miracles to anyone who is ready to increase their faith and to believe that God is able to do anything. I immensely connected with the topic on how our miracle can be discovered in our mouths. We have to watch the words we are speaking. I liked how he explained the power of binding things and loosing things in earth as it is in Heaven. This is a very potent chapter about the power of our words, proclamation, and releasing supernatural power. I enjoyed the chapter on action and how this activates miracles. He shared stories from the Bible on how they had to complete an action out of faith to accomplish what God wanted them to do and to receive their own miracle. I also loved how the book had summary questions and a miracle activation prayer to assist readers into claiming what is theirs in Christ. I loved how he included a few scriptures about the Bible has declared about us and these are wonderful sayings to speak over our lives and families. This will greatly help you to fight the feelings of being unworthy.
"I received this book free from the publisher, Bethany House/ Chosen for my honest review.”
