The way she moves keeps me in a trance. Her body calls out to mine without making a sound. It speaks my desires in a language I perfectly understand, and it tells me that it’s mine.
Jamel Dent doesn’t know which way is up once Obsession graces his sights. The hypnosis she puts him under nearly every weekend is one that’s hard for Jamel to shake. However, he doesn’t want to shake it. He wants her to be his. There’s only one problem. He doesn't know her real identity, and she doesn’t allow anyone to get close to her. After five months of fantasizing, hoping she makes a move, he’s ready to call his obsession with Obsession quits until she makes him rethink that decision.
Sandrene Jallow was suddenly thrown into a world of struggle when her dad died tragically. Trying to help her mom financially was tough for her as a teenager. After graduating and searching for the perfect job, she is left hopeless and in despair until she stumbles upon Club Onyx. After becoming acclimated by learning the ropes and establishing her lane, she dominates. Patrons are entranced with her beauty and enthralled by her mystery. Out of the many, she notices one that has seemed to become her number one fan.
If he only knew that I was his number one fan too. The mystery surrounding me wants to engulf him and let him in on the secret. Sandrene can’t breathe the same air as Obsession, and that fact is holding me hostage.
The cards are all in Obsession’s lap. Revealing her true identity as Sandrene Jallow frightens her and constantly makes her overthink. Will she allow Jamel to walk away without knowing the possibilities or will she overcome her fear of being truly seen and give him what he’s been craving?
Starting with poetry, writing has always been a constant in Monica's life. The interest began in her teenage years, being in love for the first time. Her love for writing has only progressed. Song lyrics and poetry led to short stories, then one day in her down time, a short story became a 56k word novel. It has been non-stop since then. Being a wife and mother, has only added to the joys of Monica's life. Attaining a BS in Sociology, helping her better understand people and their behaviors, has only helped her become a better writer, understanding characters and their complex personalities. Romance of all types has been her passion, and she plans to continue honing her skills in that genre.
I absolutely loved this story. It’s like every book in this series is better than the last (and I never think it can happen). I LOVE LOVE LOVE this family! I’m going to be sad when this series is over.
Jamel x Sandrene (Obsession)… I loved their story. The twists had me like WTF? I can’t wait to read more about them in future books
Whew Sandrene/Obsession was too hot to handle and her having Jamel in a trans for months makes all the sense now!! Like wow! Once we got to know Sandrene it was only up from there! Also Jamel was a freak and him and Obsession first scene without penetration was wild and I was here for it! Also how she lost her 9-5 job let’s you know the obsession was mutual because Jamel had her on go with his fine self that she was breaking all her rules! I loved this couple and when the plot twist came I was lowkey shocked because I wasn’t expecting that. Also Yolanda is trash and Mama Anissa needs to drop her asap! I loved all the side updates but whew am I ready for Seneca and Ali’s book! Let me continue to keep pressing forward but this sexy “Fell in Love With A Stripper” romance was right up my alley and I definitely recommend. Please note TW: Sexual Assault does take place on the pages, be safe reading!
Aye man!! MONNNNNNN!!! This one gets a standing ovation 👏🏾! What a way to tell a story, I screamed at the book the entire middle/end like someone could hear me 😂! Jamel was obsessed for real! I’m happy that he and Sandrene finally got together. Their drama with one another was nonexistent, however, this was still an action packed read! Although she was a stripper, I fell in love with Sandrene’s character. She had the highest standards for herself when it came to showing off her talent and wouldn’t accept anything less! I can’t wait to see what else happens with the 2 of them! As well, I hope Mama Anissa doesn’t find out that her bestfriend slept with her son 🤦🏾♀️!
This family is amazing, I’m toggling between the Berotte/Dent family and the Henderson family.! I don’t want either one to end 😫😩! This, book 8 though, definitely made it to the top! Anissa & Sheldon Berotte will always be my # 1 favorite though!
Ayye I enjoyed this book. It may be my favorite out of this series.
Jamel and Sandrene aka Obsession were hot af you hear me! Mel had been mesmerized with Obsession in the previous book and was high key obsessed. They had a connection that he could not and didn't really want to shake. She had him at the strip club every weekend just to see her. I can't say I've ever read a book about a stripper, but I felt like it was tastefully done.
Sandrene was about her paper, she worked a day job during the week and stacked money on the weekends at the strip club. I liked her character, she was a loner, shy, almost boring. She didn't have any friends, so she didn't really go out. Her regular personality was starkly different from the outgoing, sexy, boss energy she gave when dancing as Obsession. Her biggest fear was that her worlds would collide and she wanted to maintain respect at her day job. When she hit be that stage though she felt sexy, unstoppable, and confident and I loved that for her. Jamel seemed to crash into both of her worlds, he was hype about it and she didn't know what to do with it at first.
Jamel was cool people, I vibe with his energy. He was a fboy, but had been easing away from that life, consumed with thoughts of Obsession. As his family grew and his brothers started settling down he subconsciously became more open to love for himself. He was sensitive to her and did not know if he could be with her and handle her being a stripper. I think he really needed that self reflection. Listen, the way he spoke her bodies language. Chilllle okay reserved sexy Jamel !!!
This book wasn't mind blowing and thank goodness it wasn't angsty, but I love the Berrote's and overall enjoyed the easy connection between Mel and Drene. I appreciated that we didn't have to wait forever for them to connect and I loved the plot twist. I wanted a little more detail around them as a couple. They went to dinner and we got no details of what they ate or the atmosphere, little things like that helps me imagine the scenes. There were some predictable moments, but also ones I didn't see coming. Definitely a balanced book.
If we get more books in this series I'd recommend more details. Let us get to know the characters just a little more. This book definitely gave me more than the previous ones, looking forward to the next book. I'm hoping it will be about the illusive Ali.
Miss Monica! How do you continue to raise the bar higher with each book? Cause ma'am.... whew! I was so ready for Jamel's story. He was such a wild one, with all the women and out just living his best life! One trip to the strip club changed his whole understanding! Jamel thinks to himself, who is the beautiful creature Obsession? I have to meet this woman! She had him shook and in a trance all at the same time! He is in trouble! Sandrene was such a sweet person, left alone in the world, doing all she could to take care of herself. Dancing at Club Onyx became the thing that allowed her to do what she loved, while the money she earned sustained her. When she made eye contact with Jamel in the club, she knew that this man was different. Not like the others, who only wanted one thing because she was a stripper. But, she had to maintain the mystery right? I can't allow him to know the real me can I? She avoids his advances for months, until interesting circumstances allow them to meet again; and Sandrene allows her defenses to slowly fall away. I loved these two together, you hear me?? ❤ Just perfect with they nasty asses! Lawd Jamel, you know some thangs about taking care of a woman sir! 😂
I was really touched by the scene with Jamel and DJ, before DJ's wedding. Although DJ held so much anger toward his dad for the way that he left them, he still had fear in his heart that he would end up like him. Jamel being there for his big brother was a beautiful moment! 😍 NOW, cougar Yolanda! You need to sat down ma'am! You already out of order for getting with Jamel in the first place, now you wanna show out? 😠 I have a feeling that this secret will not stay under wraps much longer, and Momma Nissa is going to cut tf up!
This whole family ish with Sandrene was a mess! I felt for Sandrene finding out what her father had done, and then leaving all these greedy, ruthless people behind, with ill intentions. I can't wait for karma to come calling for them. Ughh....🤬
What the hell has Talisha got over Ali? It has to be huge, because he is stalling big time with taking care of her. But, I know his patience is wearing thin. I'm sooo ready to know more about that! Brother Arrow! I loved his vulnerability as he shared his desire to find love and companionship. I hope his story is next, as he has peaked my interest now. Bravo! Again, you have brought your A game, for another🔥 read! 👍👍👍
Man I was so excited for this book. I really wanted to like this book like I have the other seven book. But I just wasn’t feeling Jamel and Sandrene’s story. For one I felt as though Jamel wasn’t really in love with Sandrene but more so he was on lust with obsession. And once he found out they were one in the same that was just a plus for him
I hated how possessive he was over obsession without saying two words to her. And I know that in previous books. For example, Shy was possessive over Brittany but he actually knew who she was and what she was going through. And even though I’m not a fan of possessive men at all at least with Shy or made sense. There was a history between them and a chemistry that I didn’t feel with Jamel and Sandrene.
There relationship just felt forced and rushed to me. Something traumatic happens to Sandrene and they just sorta brush it off. This one wasn’t it for me but hopefully I enjoy the next one like I did all the other ones.
Yessss baby! I absolutely loved everything about this book. That’s not unusual when reading a Monica Walters creation but this one here just hit a little differently. Monica Walters is nasssssty y’all 😝 I couldn’t wait to write this review so I could say that! She had Jamel and Sandrene on a whole other level and ooo weee I was here for every hip sway, booty clap, and tongue twirl😏 Now let me get into the review (putting my hussy cap to the side)… After all of the buildup around Jamel and Obsession, we finally get to see them come together and of course, they were everything! I must admit Jamel was always just a character in the background for me until his obsession with a certain stripper came into play. Sandrene was obviously a new character but the way she was introduced in earlier books made her seem so familiar in this story. These two went through a lot to be together and most of it was not of either of their choosing which made me love this book and adore this couple even more because they stood strong from the beginning. Monica Walters is always good for creating a character that I will fall in love with but something about the way Jamel loved Sandrene had this man sliding into the number 2 spot (of course he can’t be first my Shy Baby still holding that spot… firmly). In my opinion, Sandrene was a different type of female from this author’s previous characters. She seemed to have more layers, complexity, and rawness. This could also be because of the anticipation of her literally shredding her mask and giving us as well as Jamel the real her🤷🏾♀️ I know I say all the time that Monica Walters is a definite favorite of mine and I stand by that. This lady is remarkable with a pen and I live for the times she says “preorder link”😂🤣😂. Until her next release, I will hold on to all this book gave me the good, bad, and the ugly with bated breath, because there were a few nuggets, dropped that need to be handled and more characters to fall in love with!
This has to be my favorite story so far. Jamel and Sandrene, I love them together. It was just cut to short. I needed more of them. I'm sure they will be mentioned in the other's stories. Poor Arrow, he needs to find his one. Now Ali, I think he needs to meet someone who is on his investigative, sneaky level. Good read.
I love the Berotte family and clearly I’m obsessed with the books. Admittedly, Jamel was never a favourite so this wasn’t a book that I was especially looking forward to. But I’m invested in this world and I wanted to know what was happening with my former favourite characters as well as some of the secondary people like Ali and Seneca. The premise is that Sandrene (stage name Obsession) is a dancer and a stripper at a club and Jamel is obsessed with her, yet despite her attraction to her biggest fan, her life experiences have taught her to be cautious with people and to isolate herself. But when Sandrene experiences an assault from someone she trusted, she realizes that Jamel is her one person she wants to turn to.
This was okay but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I did earlier books in the series. It didn’t feel as rounded and together. The genesis of the love between Jamel and Sandrene was kind of sus to me and I couldn’t see that they had much in common or to do beyond sex. I believe they were incredibly sexually compatible but beyond that, I didn’t feel their relationship and I didn’t get the emotional connection. Also, there was a lot of drama and lots of important plot events going on that felt somewhat rushed by to me- I just wanted more detail and more consequence. I wanted situations interrogated more. There was the huge traumatic event with Sandrene that the author provides a TW for at the beginning, for me, it was a major point but it kind of was rushed past, even in the aftermath. I feel like this book (and similarly with the last book) dealt with really important weighty themes that didn’t really have time to marinate and I wanted more. I love the world this author has built and I love her plot ideas for these books, and maybe that’s why I wanted a bit more depth and emotional connection in this erotic romance. That said, I blew through this really quickly, it was eminently readable, I’m interested in the still-single male characters of which there is a growing number, and I really hope that Arrow gets the next book.
Okay so I’ve been waiting for Jamel and Obsession/Sandrene story. Mrs. Walters you just keep writing these amazing stories and I thank you for taking my money 🤣🤣🤣!
I will say I didn’t like how Sadrene reacted to Jamel about the club incident without talking to him and finding out what happen. Jamel he definitely came off at little stalkerish but he was still bae 🥰! I never understood why Sadrene kept calling Jamel a “Playboy” he never came off that way to her and that part was getting on my nerves. My mouth dropped at that revelation at the club, jealousy is something that’s all I can say!
Yolanda was a hot old mess, I couldn’t help but shake my head at her 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️. I’m waiting for Arrow or Seneca’s book because that’s some drama I think we all need lol. Also Ali yes we need Ali’s story and if he going have that girls head for her dumbness 🤦🏾♀️🤣🤦🏾♀️. So I’m mad at that ending 😡😡😡, I want more 😩😩😩. I think this book isn’t finished and you missed some chapters 🤣🤣🤣. This was another amazing Berotte book!!!
I enjoyed Jamel's story. He has obsessed over Obsession for so long that his wish finally came true. I liked how the author added the mystery twist between Obsession/Sandrene because it made the chase for Jamel to finally get his woman a lot more interesting. I loved that Sandrene was independent and didn't let being a stripper as her side hustle define her. I didn't like how easy her other job let her go without even a second chance but in the end it worked in her favor because she was able to get to know the man she has wanted since he first saw her dance. Her boo Bandz/Jamel. I was so happy that they admitted their feelings for each other and how the Berotte's welcomed her with open arms. As the family continues to grow, one thing is certain, they got each other's back.
❤️ Loved Mel and Drene’s story. It was definitely the hottest 💥💦
Their chemistry was burning 🔥 up the pages. I was rooting for Mel to get his Obsession, even when he felt like giving up. The birthday dance 💃🏽 was EVERYTHING!!!
What a plot twist with the club owner, dancer and bouncer. Definitely did not see that coming.
I was soo glad when Sandrene decided to really give Mel a chance. Its good that Yoyo wasn’t that big of a problem. I was on the edge thinking Anissa would find out.
I always LOVE ❤️ to revisit the family. Great job with this one👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This series literally don’t miss . I loveee seeing all the characters have successful careers . They don’t play about each other AT ALL!!! And I love that everyone is finding their true love!! This entire series has me feeling like a hopeless romantic :)
The way they met was surprisingly pleasing for me. I love his way her approached her and watched her for months before anything happened. She needed that affection more than she knew from him. They both changed for the better. I loved it.
Monica, you gave me insomnia girl!!! I literally started reading the evening my download came through and didn’t stop until almost 4 in the morning. I had to finish it! This book took me through it! First off, YoYo is not a friend because she doesn’t respect the code. You don’t sleep with your friend’s children. She’s also a messy heaux who deserved to have Drene put hands on her. The entire drama that was the Jallow family was five much. Not too much but five. One of the things about patriarchal societies is how they value women for their wombs and not their very existence. Mr. Jallow set Sandrene’s life on the path it went down and I can understand her reluctance to forgive. Jamel really was his mother’s son. He had a beautiful heart and was a protector. He was who Sandrene deserved. And on my way out, I hope Tiny and Desire rot under the jail.
Let me just say.... I want to be a Berotte😂 I'm going to be so sad when this series ends. Jamel and Sandrene/Obsession were so good together. It wasn't a complicated love (at least for Bandz). Her family was trash, but Jamel was right there with her, helping her to get through that trauma. She was a firecracker when she needed to be😂 Sandrene was going to handle YoYo😜 Can't wait for the next book to drop. Mrs. Monica as always I love your work! Them sex scenes had me drinking water they were so intense!😜
Sandrene and Jamel! I loved them together even though how they met may have been a bit impractical to some. I thought more would happen with the whole Yolanda thing but I’m glad she stayed mainly in her lane. Sandrene was a good look for Mel. Now let’s get our boy Arrow hooked up and let us know what’s up with Ali. I also loved how non judgmental the family was. One thing about those Berottes is they support each other. Another great read, waiting on the next one.
Ooh Jamel & Obsession burned up my kindle with all their chemistry. I love how his brothers supported his quest to make Obsession his woman! Desire 😑 was undesirable that's why she was always hating on Obsession. Sandrene needed love that Jamel & the Berotte gladly provided. Yolanda is going to catch a fade if she does not come to her senses!
A great story for Jamel (Mel) Dent aka Bandz and his new found love Sandrene Jallow aka Obsession. Only she got to tame the wild beast in him. Now it's permanent status for both.
This book took us on a journey with Jamel, the other addition Berotte kid... And his storyline was very juicy... I mean hold on because the seduction and chemistry I felt through out the book... man oh man it was intense... Jamel was just out there living his life as a single man... But one night at the strip club and this woman captured his attention and her claws were in him from that moment... Although they never met eachother outside of the strip club, their chemistry was so strong neither one of them knew what to do with it... Jamel realized that this is the woman that he wanted... wait no not just wanted but needed in his life... He just had to figure out a way to actually meet her... Well it looked like the stars started to align with him and his needs... Because the loss of a job because of a certificate he needed for work had to be completed placed him right where he needed to be... Obsession was a mysterious woman that every man that came to the club wanted... She was like a secret... Because she always wore a mask when she preformed... No one knew who she was not even the ones she worked with... One man caught her eye when she was working... He was there every week and spent lots of money on her... Just to watch her work the stage... She did not do lap dances or private dances... She would only work the stage then leave... But with this one man... It was like she was drawn to him... Well she had a second job... And the moment that she crossed paths with him outside the club it was like she froze... Because now she was Sandrene... She was afraid that this man would notice her... She wanted to keep everything a secret... But at the rate that things are going... how long could that be... Well this man had her so frazzled that she really messed up and cost Jamel to lose out on a big job... But was it really a bad thing... Although it cost both of them a lot... It looks like things started to really pick up... But did the weight of everything come crashing down on them before things could really get started... Was Sandrene able to recover after losing her job... Did his family even feel right about Jamel dating a stripper... and the twist this one threw in there was a little should I say twisted... Guess you will have to read to find out how things played out with this one as well.. Now onto Arrow to see what is going on with him and to see if he will be able to find someone to love... Since everyone else is settling down... Maybe it is time for him also...
🗣Monica!!!!!! Report to the front of the MF class!!!! Ma’am you wrote the hxll out of this book! This series seriously gets better and better with each book. Every time I think I have a favorite, you drop a new book and change my mind 😩🤧!
We got a lil taste of Mel and his Obsession in book 7 so I already knew how book 8 was coming….. BAY-BEY!!! I was not prepared! Sandrene is an exotic dancer and wears a mask to protect her identity in order to keep her personal and professional lives separate. Her mystery has Jamel in a chokehold and he is dead set on making her his! There’s just one problem… she makes it nearly impossible for anyone to get close to her! After fate puts these two in the same room outside of the club it’s inevitable that they end up together!
That birthday scene!!! 🥵🥵🥵 douse me in water 💦💦💦 whew just let me watch from the corner 🤣🤣🤣
I loved the unexpected twist and connections made. I was like oh hxlllllllllll no!!! IKYFL!!!! Y’all!!!! Read this book now!!
P.S. Monica we need a family tree at the beginning of these books because keeping up with these spouses and babies have my head spinning 🤣🤣 got me reading like who’s wife is this again 🤣🤣 I love the Berotte Family! We need a Christmas novel or sum!! I can’t wait to see who’s next up in this series! Seneca and Rondo have me invested!
Sandrene and Jamel..Another great Monica Walters book. Book 8 in the series has the Heritage family getting bigger and bigger. And it's nothing but love in the entire family. Sandrene has an honest nine to five job during the week and a pole dancing stripper job on the weekend. That's how her and Jamel meet. He's mesmerized by her the first time he sees her dancing at the club. She has a rule that she will not get involved with any of the patrons in any way. He can't find out any information about her and after months of trying to get her attention with no luck he's about ready to give up. He finally gets a chance encounter with her when he has to go for testing for his job and she's the person he has to see. In the beginning he doesn't know it's her but still he's attracted to her. But she knows exactly who he is which makes her nervous about him finding out she's the same person. It threw me for a loop to find out that club owner, another stripper and the security guard were her deceased father's other family and they were trying to kill her so they could keep the money her father left her. That's just greed. Then there's Yolanda with her old self, who Jamel was fooling around with before Sandrene. She doesn't want to let go of her good thing. So much more going on in this book that makes it worth reading.
Jamel is obsessed with Obsession and he dgaf who knows. From her gorgeous dark skin, to her perfect ass body he can't get enough. This girl got him coming to the strip club just to look & not touch. & thats sufficing for some, but he wants more & he know he wants more with her. Although she ways wears a mask, he knows that their souls are connected. The problem is he can't get close enough to nurture this connection.
Obsession/Sandrene knows she a bad bitch. She comes & makes her money two nights a week at Onyx & then goes on with her life. She is headliner, but sis is humble. She got a great 9-5 & is only working in the club for a goal, so she says. She also like dancing & she enjoys the what it does to her self-esteem. She comes to work & minds her business, but its one patron that has been front row for the last six months that she can't take her eyes off of. He spends his money & leaves and that attracts her.
Sandrene & Jamel are perfect for each other, but they both have some personal things they need to handle before they embark on forever together. I hate what happened to Sandrene, but I hope those trifling ass mfs gets buried into the pits of fucking hell.
Jamel is the last of the Berotte (honorary because of Mrs. Anissa) to give his heart to someone Sandrene. I am glad she finally reciprocated the feelings he was showing he had for her! Sandrene's father's other family is all the way ratchet from the word go! I can hardly wait to see what happens to them either through the court system or from Jamel, Sandrene and Jamel's crew!! I love how his family embraced Sandrene/Obsession and even wanted her to teach them some moves too. I am also glad she gets to do what she loves (dancing) without putting herself at risk of being plotted against. I want all of the dirt about Sandrene's poor excuse of a father to come out so that she can finally put that behind her, possibly forgive her father and move forward! I want Arrow to find the love of his life. I want Rondo and all the other single friends to find that special person to share their life. Thank you Monica you have me thinking of the Berottes and their circle of friends as my acquaintances too even though I know they are fictional characters!!!😍😁😀👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Monica Walters has done it again! This book was everything—the character visuals, the book cover, the playlist, and the story line…Yaaasss!!! Sandrene (I love this name) was a loner and tried to keep to herself, but the energy she gave off would not let Jamel look the other way. The chemistry between these two almost felt like a slow burn. All weekend if I was randomly shouting Oochie Wally, I was screaming Bandz a make her dance😉 In true series fashion readers got updates on the family and tidbits of stories that may be next up. The way this family loves each other and accepts each other’s flaws and side steps is how family should truly operate. The friends are equally as supportive and take riding for my people to heart. I need to know how many years that “step” mom and daughter actually get. I cannot wait to see what is going on with Seneca and Ali…I wonder if Talisha is gonna get a little redemption of if Ali followed through with his usual intent.
“When You Dance”…another Berotte bonus son banger. I absolutely love the Berotte family. They aren’t judgmental nor biased. Jamel & Sandrene’s journey to romance could have been hell hot messy. Yet Jamel proved he is the GOAT. ..I love that Jamel defended Sandrene’s name long before they were a couple‼️Thereafter, Jeremiah is a dirty &$!?🤬‼️ …Shy & Ali to the retribution rescue (petty⁉️…just for my satisfaction 🤷🏾♀️😏)Meanwhile, Ms Monica Walters thank you again for sharing your creative genius🤯 meticulous plot & character development to deliver such a vibrant family. Honestly, it’s difficult to believe the Berotte’s are a fictional Family. These men (& their partners), bonus sons and friends are the epitome of black excellence in an urban community. ... More so, I adore the (consistent) compassion, love, commitment & respect this family has for each other while graphing others into their circle. ..what a joy to witness 👏🏽🤎👏🏾🤎👏🏿‼️
Jamel and Sandrene/Obsession, aka Sansession!! When the author stated at the beginning that the story contained certain “content,” she was not kidding. She warned us to have a partner close by while reading! Again, she was not kidding! This story was sooo hot!!
There was a horrible incident that happened to “Obsession” but Jamel was there for her through it all! I was not ready for that, nor the who and why, but Jamel and his family were all in! I just love this Berotte Family!! They are all the real thing!!
I’m all in with this family, as well! I’m headed on over to see what’s up with my man, Arrow! Can’t wait to see what Mrs. Walters has for us! Listen, this is an excellent series and a “must read” series, as well!! Jump on in and enjoy the journey!! You’ll be glad you did!! All I have left to say is…Kudos, Monica!! 💜👏🏽👏🏽💜
Jemell and Sandrene were everything!! He kept going to the club until he was completely obsessed with everything about Obsession! She was obsessed with him as well. When he showed up at her full time job, she was extremely nervous that he would figure her out. Her birthday stunt and their second private session got her figured out. He was extremely gone by then and didn't want to live without her. Once they hooked up, it was over for them both! She thought she could do without him, but the tragedy from the club and his persistent ways led her back. The mess from her dad's second family took a toll, but Mel was there to love her though it. She finally received the love she deserved and he was happy. Having his family meant a lot to her. Amazing work, Monica! Can't wait to read the next book!
Jamel was OBSESSED with Obsession. She mesmerized him from the start with her flawless ebony skin and her erotic moves. But sis was not having it... at first anyway. She was not trying to mix business with pleasure. The journey that Ms. Walters takes us through is worth the wait as we see them materialize as a sizzling couple that is not afraid to let their haters watch. For me this 8th book in the Berotte family series was not as compelling as some of the other's, especially Chad and Lexie's story (book 6 - I Want YoubHere). However it does have a surprise twist that I truly did not see coming. Overall it was a good addition to the series. I cannot wait for the next installment in this big ass family. Who's story is next...will it be Arrow, Jungle or Ali?m8
