It all started in first grade when Cat Johnson won the essay contest at Hawthorne Elementary School and got to ride in the Chief of Police's car in the Memorial Day Parade...and the rest, as they say, is history. As an adult, Cat generally tries to stay out of police cars and is thrilled to be writing for a living. She has been published under a different name in the Young Adult genre, but released her first romance in 2006.
Today, she is a NY Times & USA Today best-selling, award-winning author of contemporary romance. A promo ho, she's sponsored real live bull riding cowboys and promoted romance using bologna.
Kissing Books Spicy, funny and almost too cute for words. I laughed long and hard, and I begrudged every interruption to my reading time. This is about to become a cherished favorite story that I will be re-reading over and over again in the future. I had so much fun reading about Harper, Stone and all the zany residents of Mudville. I can’t wait to go back and do it all again once there are more books available in the series. Red Hot I feel like I’ve been waiting for the continuation of this series forever. I loved Red and Cash. I desperately wanted to see them get their happy ever after. Somehow, this wasn’t quite the story I wanted for them, though. The quirky residents of Mudville of the previous book transitioned into being just f-ing loopy for this one. I almost felt like this book was trying to do too many things at once. And most of them didn’t result in endings that I was satisfied with. I had so much fun with Red and Cash, though. Their push-me/pull-you dynamic, while often frustrating, was also all kinds of entertaining to watch. I’m eagerly looking forward to the next Mudville book. Honey Buns This is one of those books where you just sit back and hang on for the ride of your life. Getting to know Bethany through Harper and Red’s books had made me just a little bit desperate for her story. This was nothing like I expected it to be, but I loved how it tied Brandon’s own family history back into the secrets of Mudville’s past. I also had a whole lot of fun getting caught up with our previous couples as they meddled in Bethany and Brandon’s chaos. Dog Days Sometimes the harshest circumstances bring about the most incredible outcomes. These veterans, man and dog, needed each other but they hadn’t realized it yet. At least, not until Stephanie worked her magic and ended up keeping both the man and the dog for herself. I was really impressed with how this story handled the PTSD of Michael and Zeus. I don’t think I’d really realized that animals could be just as affected by it as humans. I only wish this story had been even longer.
