I honestly don't know how I feel about this book. It feels like something a teen might read, but then there's parts in that make me understand why it's an "adult" book. I'm not sure how I feel about the twist with the MFC's friend, and the love interested between her and the guard was obvious. However, I did not see the last few chapters coming. It was a great change in the story, although a little dark.
