DO CATHOLICS WORSHIP MARY, THE SAINTS, AND STATUES?: Mary's Unique Role in Salvation History and Biblical evidence that the Catholic Church's use of images and veneration of Saints is not Idolatry.
Catholics have frequently been accused of the sin of idolatry, or the worship of idols, because of the presence of images and statues in the Catholic Church. Therefore, this book addresses this issue of Mary, images (statues), and the veneration of the saints using scripture passages to prove that there are biblical and do not go against the first commandment "you shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them....." (Exodus 20:4-6). The book also discusses the unique role of the Virgin Mary in salvation history as the new Eve and Ark of the new covenant and the misconception that after Jesus, Mary had other children is refuted using scripture verses.
