Midlife in Mosswood #11

Dreaming of a Witch Christmas

Rate this book
She’s all set to chill out and enjoy some festive fun, but instead she’s busting out her resting Grinch face.
Rosemary Bell is looking forward to some quality family time. With a holiday visit to her Irish in-laws planned and the evil wizard Morgana locked up tight by the Council of Witches, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

But some ridiculously pretty weather leads to a blizzard that sees them all snowed in, family tensions begin to run high. Her mother-in-law becomes a pregnancy expert, Rue the Great Dane puppy is up to snow good, and Rosie is left hearing the ghost of Christmas ass–literally.

When an old family superstition suddenly springs to life, it’s snow laughing matter. The sanctity–and safety–of the family’s magical Irish Christmas is on the line. Can Rosie and her family thaw the frosty situation before the Big Bad has the final sleigh? One thing is for sure–they’ll all be left dreaming of a witch Christmas.

The Nightmare Before Christmas meets Jack Frost in this tree-mendous holiday romp about trying not to fall apart, sticking together, and the magic of the holidays.

Dreaming of a Witch Christmas, Midlife in Mosswood Book 11, is shorter than the prior books but it has all the powerful elements we have come to expect and love from Louisa West. Once again it is Christmastime and Rosie, Declan and family leave Fox Cottage for the enchantment of Ireland. After the year Rosie has had all she wants is to finally relax and how better to do that than to enjoy the winter wonderland they encounter at their magical in-laws, Cillian and Saoirse. After all what could possibly go wrong when you are greeted by Frosty the Snowman...complete with his carrot nose?... In true Mosswood style...a lot!
I really enjoyed DoaWC. Louisa West has an amazing gift and her descriptions throughout this book are some of the best I have read. I was not ready for the book to end and I am very much looking forward to the next read. I recommend this book to everyone but if you haven't read this series I do suggest starting at the beginning to get the most out of it. You will love it!

Absolutely loved Dreaming of a Witch Christmas!

The story is more of a novella and the shortest of the Midlife in Mosswood series, but it didn't disappoint. I would love to see more novellas for this series. It was full of action and I really, really, enjoyed it. Not to mention it was holiday themed.

Rosie, Declan, Gabe, and Maggie are spending their holidays with Declans Mom and Dad in Ireland. Seriously what could go wrong? Well plenty and I loved it. So much for a quiet Christmas when they arrived in Ireland and greeted by a Snowman that Declan's parents made. Who knew that there was a folk lore surrounding Christmas?

The author's writing is spot on and she really outdid herself with this book...even though it is short it was full of action. The characters are wonderful and amazing. I always love going back to Mosswood and spend time with Rosie and the gang. Excited for the next book to come out...no rush Louisa! Dreaming of a Witch Christmas ended with a cliffhanger but I'm sure the next book will be amazing and tie up the cliffhanger!

Highly recommend if you like paranormal witch books! You won't be disappointed if you pick up this series

Thank you to Louisa West for allowing me to read an advanced digital copy for nothing in return. I voluntarily leave this review and all words are mine alone!

⛄Let it snow...

"Whoa!" he breathed, continuing to scramble backwards away from the frosted fiend. "Now I've seen it all—a bloody Molotov snowman!"

Welcome back to Mosswood and all the shenanigans folks 😉. Rosie, Declan and their little family figured a nice "peaceful" Christmas in Ireland with his folks would be just the ticket. Of course nothing is as simple as all that...enter enchanted, psychotic snowpeople!!! Let the hilarity, magic and action commence. A pregnant witch, two teen witches, Declan and his parents all up against an army of ⛄?? Who will come out on top? I absolutely loved this little holiday treat. I can't wait to read the next book which is rumored to be the big wizard/witch showdown. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the ride. I for one will never see Frosty the Snowman the same way again 😆.

Rosie and Declan are enjoying a cozy Christmas with family and friends after ensuring Morgana is locked away in the next book of the series. First Christmas at Fox Cottage, then Ireland, where they fight a group you would not believe. Louise outdid herself with these villains. Declan is as sexy as ever ( need more of his sexiness) and all hands are on deck to save Rosie and her family. This is a short book which will lead into the next bigger book with only a few remaining. I love this family and can't wait for the next adventure. All her books are tied together so you should read them in order. I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary opinion.

This is the perfect book for the Christmas season to get you in the mood. It is like visiting with old friends over the holidays. You can't wait to see them and what trouble they get into. Louisa did an amazing job of bring the characters to life and making me want more. I don't like to write reviews that give a summary of the storyline, what I might think of as interesting could be a spoiler for someone else. So, I will say that the character development is always ongoing and you see new and interesting traits and interactions with these characters.
This is a great addition to the series and will make you anxious for the next but frustrated that the end is near.

This new release by Louisa West takes us back to Mosswood and we find Rosie and Declan getting ready for Christmas and finding out they’re expecting a new baby!

They take the magic tree portal in their yard to his parents house in Ireland for Christmas. They think they’re there to have a nice quiet family holiday. But of course we know that doesn’t happen for them and all hell breaks loose.

Read as Rosie, Declan, their kids, and Declan’s parents deal with the latest obstacle (which is pretty crazy and definitely gives new winter nightmare scenarios!). I loved this book just as much as the others in the series and give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

What a Ride!!!

Dreaming of a Witch Christmas by Louisa West... What a ride this book was! Absolutely loved it! I always enjoy when Rosie and her family go to Ireland, and this was no exception. Did you really think that this family could have a peaceful trip and holiday??? Almost, but no cigar!!! I enjoy Louisa's writing so much. This series is funny, and sweet and exciting, you never know what's going to happen next! And with that last statement, I'm anxious for the next book!!!❤️❤️❤️

Christmas in Ireland! Sounds amazing, right? I know I sure would want to go. For Rosie and family, though...things aren't so cozy, and it's definitely no silent night. Can our favorite witchy family keep up with nosy in-laws, blizzards, ghosts and other crazy magical shenanigans? It was sure fun reading and finding out! I can't wait to see what trouble Rosie and crew finds next!

A nice quick read with Rosie and the family head to Ireland for Chrismas. A snow storm hits the home of Declans parents in a very unusual way. The snow comes to life in an unimaginable way, which causes the family to pull out their witchy talents again. What dark forces have caused this mayhem you need to read to find out.

I like a nice quiet family filled Christmas 🎄. One thing I miss now that my children are grown is watching them build snowmen ⛄️. Luckily for us non of them even came to life

Xmas is always fun at the Forrest's house

Good news, good company, Xmas celebrations, ghost carrolers, family time in a winter wonderland... then a curse from legend unfolds, of course!
