Sparking Ares is the third book in the RBMC: Dallas series by Kristine Allen, a PNR MC series and a spinoff of her hugely loved RBMC: Arkenny, IA series. Great storyline with a true "opposite sides of the tracks" going on that truly grabs you in the feels. Despite Ares plan to use Ember for revenge, their attraction is just too much for him to follow through, but there are huge distances and obstacles for these two to be together. A quick read that will definitely leave a smile on your face!

This is a good little book that I thought was going to have a lot of Christmas and New Years by going by the name but it's barely mentioned. This book is about Ares also known as Memphis and Ember.
Ares was known as Soap in the Demented Son's MC series but he needed revenge so he went to the RBMC. He plans and studies his target and knows exactly what he must do but can he do it?

I love Ares & Ember. This story is about revenge. Ares lost a girl he loved and was looking for revenge. The group he was with didn’t back him & he leaves. He finds the RBMC and he finds the friends/family he needs to have his back.
It’s a fast paced book with 2 people falling for each other that neither saw coming. Will Ares get his revenge? Will he be able to let go of his past and have something with Ember?

This book was great! We finally get to learn more about Soap/Memphis/Ares!! He’s a fantastic character and you do feel badly for his past and how he lost Tasha. Ember is funny and sweet. She has her own recent trauma to deal with and Ares kidnaps/saves her. Despite human trafficking being mentioned for the most part this book is a light read. There’s quite a few laugh out loud moments, and as always the author does an amazing job not only telling the story of the main couple but bringing the world to life with secondary characters, side plots, and stellar writing. There’s plenty of heat and chemistry too. My only compliant is that I wish we had more chapters of Ares and Ember falling in love and interacting.

For those that are a fan of Kristine Allen’s work, you will have met Ares as part of her Demented Sons MC, Iowa series. Ares (previously known as Soap) has always held his secret close to his chest. Tash was a dancer at the DSMC Strip club, with his past, he didn’t believe he deserved love, so he loved her from afar, until the day his world turned inside out when Tash died in his arms and all he wanted was revenge.
We got teased with Ares in Taming Raptor and Raptors Revenge, but what we soon discover about our boy in Sparking Ares is that he's got some big secrets, is full of rage, and barely holding on by a thread.
When the opportunity for revenge is finally laid before him, Raptor allows him his chance, one rule don't mess this up.
Ember, an only child of a billionaire father, and her mother having died when she was a baby, she has led a rather protected life. Her father adores her, and once he remarried Rhonda, she also had a stepmother that loved her, and with that she also got an extremely overprotective stepbrother.
When her parents head off on a Mediterranean cruise and a tour of the France and Italy, her father suggests she go stay with her George (stepbrother) so she's not alone. When she arrives at George's house she gets settled in her room before wandering off to find her stepbrother.
She hears George in his office, she knows she shouldn’t eves drop but when Ember overhears George promising that he has the perfect way to repay a debt, her blood run cold and boils in the same instant. He plans to sell her!
What was meant to be a quick and clean snatch and grab takes a slight turn when Ares walks in on George & Ember arguing. Impulsively he grabs Ember, making the decision to take someone that George cares about and make him feel the same pain he did losing Tash. What he didn’t count on was getting to know Ember and discovering just what George had in store for her.
Despite his original plan of revenge Ares tries to keep his distance and deny what he is feeling but his inner voice keeps screaming that she belongs to him.
What started as an accidental hostage situation quickly turns into a heated encounter (smeggy x 10) with these two drawn to each other like moths to a flame.
I love, love, love these characters and eagerly (impatiently) await the next release before the cover is closed on the last one.
If you have yet to venture into the RBMC world Kristine Allen has created, I highly recommend starting with Voodoo: RBMC Ankeny IA, it’s book one and the start of the journey into her RBMC world. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Sparking Ares: RBMC Dallas, TX (RBMC: Dallas, TX Book 3) by Kristine Allen is a suspenseful, thrilling, emotional shifter storyline that has plenty of drama, violence and steamy romance throughout this story that will have you hooked from the first chapter as you follow Ares and Ember's inta-love romance. Soap /Memphis/ Ares was a member of the RBMC: Arkenny, IA with a haunted past, finally Ares has his own story with a secret he has kept from some of his brothers that has him hanging by a thread as he is suppressing who he is until tragedy strikes.
Ares is still dealing with the death of Tash dancer for the DSMC owned strip club who he loved from afar. Now driven by revenge to find the party responsible he seeks out the RBMC Dallas, Tx asking for help. In order for them to help him he now ends up as a member of the RBMC Dallas, TX who are known for eradicating evil with their paranormal abilities. Ares finally gets a chance under Raptor to achieve his goal but is warned not to mess this up when he is told to grab George who also has a connection with human trafficking What was meant to be a quick grab and go, Ares overhears George and Ember fighting and decides to make George feel the pain of losing someone he takes Ember with him. Now he not only has to deal with Raptor for not completing his mission but he is now told that sexy Ember is his responsibility when it is learned that George was selling her off to pay his debt. The interaction and sexual undertone between these two at times is full of witty banter as Ember deals with Ares. Soon danger is heading not only to the club but for Ember when her owner arrives and wants what he paid for. I am one of the many that have been waiting on Soap’s (aka Ares) story and Ms. Allen did not disappoint me with his storyline and the usual paranormal twist. Ares is a man living with a dark secret but also in need of revenge after the death of his woman. Well the time has finally come. Raptor, the RBMC Prez, has come to him with a folder that has all the info he needs. Now he just needs to formulate a plan that his club will agree on, so that he can get the justice his girl deserved. But when it came time to execute his plan things went sideways. So instead of killing the man responsible he ends up kidnapping the man’s sister and taking her back to his place. But now what? He’s not even a patched member of the club yet and here he is going against the plan the club and his Prez agreed on. He can’t let her go, not only has she seen them, but thanks to him she now has a target on her back. Not to mention something “inside him” is screaming to keep her.
This is a fantastic short read that was everything I was expecting for Soap/Ares and then some. We also get the continuation of an ongoing drama/issue the club faces and hints of stuff to come. I can’t recommend Sparking Ares and the RBMC Dallas, TX series enough.

He has a secret; and you really don’t want to make him mad. Soap was a member of the Demented Sons until one tragic night when the club house was hit and the woman he loved was killed. Now out for revenge, the only way to get it is to join the RBMC, so he has. Now he’s known as Ares and he’s a man on mission, until he changes his mind and take a prisoner.
I loved this story of Ares’ transformation from Soap to Ares and a man with something to lose that will fight for a woman that he saved without even knowing it. This chapter of the RBMC, in Dallas, TX looks to be as interesting, entertaining and steamy as the Ankeny Chapter. All of the characters are great, and I love reading them. The RBMC is a great series and the multiple chapters and authors involved get better with each run that comes along. I can’t wait for the 5th run and the new authors that will be joining this great series. I give this book a 5-star review.

I love cats, big or small. Ares and his cougar broke my heart, the trauma of finding the way he did and then being scared of loving anyone in case he unwittingly hurt them, his way of life forever making him feel unworthy and not good enough. Thank goodness Ember is strong, sassy and accepting, she is beautiful of heart and soul. Despite the circumstances of their meeting and the situation surrounding them I loved the romance of them falling in love, that she loves cats, well that was a bonus for him. There is action and a bit of violence as part of the story. Some suspense as well. It held my attention and focus, easy to get lost in the pages and just soak it up. I would have liked to get an epilogue of their reactions at the end but maybe we will get a snippet in a future book, especially as we don't get the property of Ares scene. Wonderful and moving story, I definitely had tears a few times.

Oh my gosh. I need more. This chapter is just as amazing as the Ankeny chapter and it's getting better and better with each book. Ares fights with his inner self - not wanting it to have any type of control or come out. Everything changes for him in an instant the second Ember comes into his life. The fight that he was having becomes a completely new one when everything shifts. Then add in the drama of the others that come into play. A certain character gives us a different outcome than expected and I'm hoping that they possibly have more appearances within this series. Kristine is continuing to give us drama while also giving a fantastic, continuous storyline. We're just getting started and I am so ready for the ride.

I loved Ares story so much! He was such a surprise, so sweet yet so protective. It was a quick read with insta-love between Ares and Ember. Even though it was fast, I did feel a connection between Ares and Ember. I can't imagine the whirlwind of emotions that Ember was going through when her life was uprooted like that. I also liked that we got a little bit of a more emotional side of Memphis. I enjoyed really getting to know him and seeing him more vulnerable.
This is such a fun series and I'm loving the paranormal twists. This story flowed perfectly and I read it in a day because I couldn't put it down! It was intriguing with just the right amount of suspense. I can't get enough of these guys and I always enjoy getting to read about them. I would highly recommend Sparking Ares!

OMG!! I can't believe the hell he went through as a kid just trying 2 protect and love. As he grew up he was more of a protector but he had 2 get revenge on what happened 2 the woman who died in his arms but I think it should have been also 4 the brother he lost 2 from the demented sons MC. Trying 2 start fresh bit still letting rage control over the past. But things go a little off the plan when things get overheard that wasn't supposed 2 b. I was shocked in a few spots especially when a few things turned alot differently than expected cause of feelings being solemn and civil instead of fighting and death cause of a possible misunderstanding. I loved it!!!! And this sooooo can't b the end of Aries!!

This book is about Ember and Ares. It's an excellent story I thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the slight difference in the storyline with an interesting twist. I mean these RBMC men of this chapter are all different with something unique to them. I also liked how this starts off with Ares focused on revenge but then it evolves into more than just that. The connections, interactions, and characters are a couple of things that I enjoyed about this one as well as how it brings other things into the story, i.e. , character mentions. I also loved the pacing of the story and how it came together in the end. Fantastic addition to the series.

But Raptor and his brothers see something in Ares and have his back. Even when his 'plan' goes slightly awry!
Nobody can deny the connection between Ares and Ember but he is worried he isn't good enough for her and that his secret will end them before they begin.

A tale of a man craving revenge for the woman he loved,Ares was hellbent on getting exactly what he wanted,but he didn't bank on the spitfire that is Ember. I loved the way they both bounced off each other,despite the way they met! Ember didn't let anything change the way she felt about Ares...exactly as the title says,the spark between them was evident from the start.
I loved Soap in the DSMC series,and when I knew he was getting his book,I was so ready,and boy did it not disappoint! I'm so excited to read yet even more from the Dallas chapter!

4.5* read for Ember and Ares
Ember overhears her "brother" speaking on the phone, and what she hears is mind-boggling. He's offering to sell her to whomever he's talking to. She's left speechless and motionless.
Ares is after a killer, and that happens to be Ember's "brother." He ends up nabbing Ember as a form of revenge, not knowing what transpired earlier. He soon learns some truths.
This read starts with action and ends the same way! I loved Ares and Ember. They mixed well together. This is a story I can reread.
I truly enjoyed this read 📚!

This read starts with action and ends the same way! I loved Ares and Ember. They mixed well together. This is a story I can reread.

Soap knew he needed to join the Royal Bastards MC in Dallas to exact his revenge. Soap became Ares and he had a plan until he saw Ember, the step-sister of his enemy. She changed everything. Ember loved her step-brother until she hears a conversation where he considers her as nothing more than a pawn. I loved this story and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I loved the writing, excellent job by Kristine Allen. Ember is strong and sassy. Ares has secrets but he is strong and such a protector. Love this RBMC!!!

another good read
An excellent addition to the series. Ares retaliates for his old girlfriend’s death and in the process, he meets his mate. This story did not have the character development found in the other books part of this series. It focused more on just the couple. And I miss having an epilogue. I wanted to see her family mingling with her new family and I wanted to know what happened when she got her trust fund. I did enjoy reading it. HEA, No cheating, no cliffhanger. I hope there will be more books published in this series. Enjoy.

This book grips you from the first page to last and leaves you wanting more. Ares and Ember are fantastic characters. What starts out as revenge turns out to be so much more.

I loved Ares so much!!! Knowing his back story when he was Soap has had me wanting his story for awhile and this fulfilled every want I had for him. I love how feisty Ember is! She is the perfect match for Ares, strong enough to be part of his and the MC lifestyle. Definitely had some emotions running through me with how Ares felt he didn’t deserve Ember and that he wasn’t good enough for her. Thank goodness she’s full of fight and fire!

I loved Ember's and Ares story. Ares has several names to start, when he was a teenager, it was Memphis, then Soap and now Ares with the brotherhood. Ares animal was something else. He has a vendetta against George and he didn't know he was step-related to Ember. That was an complicated surprise. There was one funny moment with Raptor, I'll let you read about it and see what you think. An excellent read. HEA.

We first get to know Ares as Soap, a member of the Demented Sons MC. After a self discovery he needed to get away and was sent to join the Royal Bastards MC in Dallas. It's there he becomes Ares. What starts out as seeking vengeance turns in to a whole lot more when he meets Ember. This author ALWAYS brings us fantastic stories and Sparking Ares is no exception. It will absolutely consume you until the final page.

Ares feels like he isn't worthy of love but he really is. Ember just wants to find someone to love her. She thinks her brother loves her but he turns out to be a grade A a$$. Also, you get to hear from the other members in the club too.

Brought to Texas to the RBMC to help find his way again and control his other side but also to get revenge for the one that he lost. Turns out she wasn’t his ONE and taking a chance with Ember who he kidnapped or saved whichever way you look at it makes his other side very content and happy. Love finds a way.

I love this book, series, and author! Kristine Allen does an outstanding job of storytelling! Ares and Ember's story is entertaining, sexy, and keeps you turning the pages! Ember's personality is just what Ares needs to get his head out of the sand and enjoy life.
I enjoy how Ms. Allen keeps the MC connected and we see what is going on with the other guys and extensions of the MC. Definitely does not disappoint! Grab a copy! @theoriginialmrsp

So Aries equals Memphis who was Soap.
Not dure when they decided to call Soap Aries must have missed that one. I thought the russian was not a real bad guy and it worked out too easy for the ckub. The first 3 ir 4 in this series were soo good, these later ones are just Okay. The writing is good and I do like the characters but its loosing the MC feeling in lue of the shifter stuff.
