Je suis montée à bord du mauvais vaisseau. Maintenant, je suis à la merci du seigneur de guerre vandar le plus terrifiant et dangereux . .

I love sexy aliens and independent heroines. I grew up on Star Trek: Next Generation and Star Wars (and I adore them equally). My favorite superhero is Thor (with Aquaman a close second because, well, Jason Momoa), my favorite dessert is key lime pie (okay, fine, all pie), and I still lament the loss of Firefly.

I live in North Carolina in the US and have one husband, two teenagers, and two neurotic cats. I sometimes wish I could teleport to a holographic space station like the one in my tribute brides series (or maybe vacation at the oasis with the sand planet barbarians). :-) When I'm not writing, I love to paddleboard, dive, travel, and read obsessively!

The Deranged Raas!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💙💚💜🤎❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 🫢😤😡😊🥰

The Hero: Raas Vassim - He was cursed by a man he killed in battle, on the man’s dying breath. Ever since then he has suffered terrible nightmares, reliving that same battle in which his former Raas was killed and died in his arms. Not only does he relive the battle in his dreams but he wakes every time as sore and tired as if he actually participated in the battle. So he never gets any real rest.

The heroine: Juliette - she mistakenly betrayed her sister Sienna, who was the main character in Punished. She feels remorse and wants to get back in the good graces of her sister who was leaving their planet of Kimithion III with the bounty hunters that fought the empire along with the Vandar to save their planet. So she sneaks on the spaceship to leave with her sister and her sister’s mate, only to find out that she stowed away on the Vandar ship instead of the bounty hunter ship.

The Story: Vassim found out from a seer that the only way to break the curse is in the hands of an innocent human female with blonde hair. So when he finds Juliette stowed away on his ship, he immediately feels she may be the key to breaking the curse and stopping his madness. He takes her to the mystical planet where the seer lives in order to confirm that Juliette is indeed the curse breaker.

I had read the first three books in the series, but haven’t yet bought the next two and so I listened to this one without yet listening to books 4 and 5. Though this book does reference Punished a few times, I didn’t feel that I missed out on anything. The romance was good and the side storylines about the curse and battles with the Zagrath were intriguing. I also like the supporting characters in this entire series.

Like the first three books I listened to, this was told in dual points of view and narrated by Marcio Catalano and Addison Barnes in duet narration. In duet narration, the point of view (POV) may change at the end of each chapter, though the narrators will split the job and narrate the sections associated with their character. This is my favorite type of narration. The male narrator does all the male parts and the female does all the female parts.

This is a fantastic series from start to finish. I am so sad that this is the final Vandar book, as I have loved this series. As usual, this book was packed full of adventure, and the crossovers to the Dothvek Warriors really tied the series up well. Well done Tana Stone.

I am a huge fan of this series, I know, I know, I probably say that in every review, but it’s still very true. Vassim aka the Deranged Raas Vandar, Juliette is the sister of Sienna in the last book, and she stows away on his ship….on accident. As far as “accidents” go, this one is huge. She thought she was stowing away on the bounty hunters ship that her sister was on...but, surprise, surprise...wrong ship. I may say this in every review too, but he is my favorite Vandar Warlord. I have a huge soft spot for this Vandar, he is about one of the sweetest of the Vandar Warlords. Oh, he’s still a ruthless warrior, but also sweet too. He spoils her with gifts to try and woo her, and I loved it, and so did she.

Great storyline. Ya’ll we get a mystical planet, and a seer too. We also get to see our favorite Vandar’s, their mates, the bounty hunters we love so much, and the Carlogians from book 2. A great epilogue and a sweet hea. I know, I know, but sweet it was. This will always be one of my favorite series, I just can’t get enough of it, or read it fast enough. #BookCrackSeries all the way.

I love this series and these Warlords!!! This story centers around the “Deranged” Raas Vassim and the stowaway Juliette. She snuck on the ship when Vassim was lending aid to Kimithion III. She was hoping to be reunited with her sister, Sienna. Those around her portray her as a weak sheltered woman but that is far from the truth and personally I am glad because I don’t want any weak heroines in my stories. A witch has prophesied that Vassim’s nightmares will be null and void with the love of a woman with hair like the sun and a heart of gold. Is Juliette that woman?

2.5 stars, rounded down because I just found very little enjoyable in this.

There were moments where I thought I would like both the Hero and the heroine... but they were like fading flashes of light, there one minute, then gone the next never to be seen again. Ultimately, this felt like a half-fleshed-out outline of what could've been a much more compelling read, had it been longer and more detailed and character-driven.

This was deeply dissatisfying, but it wasn't an outright bad read, by any means. For the first part of the book, I thought there was a good amount of promise. Our Hero promised to have this sordid past and this strong urge to dominate the innocent but eager heroine... and yet, none of that turned out to be true. We find out fairly early on that our 'tortured Hero' blames himself and thinks himself unworthy for something that was clearly not his fault, and that, plus a dying warlock's curse make up the whole backstory to this 'deranged Raas'. But hey, at least there's that promise of domination and this Hero that keeps talking about how he 'fucks like he fights,' right? That's got to be interesting! ...But no, no it is not. It's literally the most mundane vanilla thing ever when it finally does happen, and there's really nothing steamy or exciting about the scenes at all. Major disappointment #2.

It's also worth noting that this installment, at least compared to the last one (#5), has more typos and punctuation errors. It's nothing that messes with comprehension, but still. The plot was also just... not really existent enough. We get told there's this huge magical curse situation going on, expect a somewhat drawn out game of seduction, and then... nothing. The book is over in the blink of an eye, the seduction over in less than that. Then we get a overdramatic "crisis" between the main characters thrown in near the end... and it just doesn't work, at least in my opinion. It feels contrived and rushed, though I think it could have worked with more build up and more day-to-day scenes in-between the five or so "big moments" that make up the entirety of the book.

Also: this could've been explained earlier in the series and I might've just missed it (I only read #5 and now #6), but the whole 'one true mate' thing originally felt like it was a 'fated mates'/destiny kind of angle, only to in this book seem more like it's just about choice and whoever they fall in love with.... I'm okay with either angle, but I just feel like this should've been clear. And also also: if it is the latter/the choice and falling in love thing, then there's really zero reason why these characters all do the insta-lust thing. If someone is completely closed off to an entire species, they don't meet one woman or man of that species and all of the sudden change everything and be suddenly drawn to them more than any other person they've met... all in like five minutes' time. That's really only semi-plausible if you're going the fated-mates angle... which, again, this book seems to have done away with, based on what we learn of the whole curse situation.

Overall: not an awful read, and very quick and easy to get through, but it just really didn't have anything going for it, and even as short as it is, I still was in a rush to get it over with. I probably won't be picking up another book in this series, or possibly even by the author. /shrug.

"Raider Warlords of the Vandar" is a steamy sci-fi romance series, much like Tana's other series. The series follows the Vandar, a group of hot and sexy alpha aliens who travel across galaxies as raiders. However, they are not what everyone in the empire believes them to be. They actually fight for freedom against the empire, which takes what it wants. Along their journey, they encounter more than they could have hoped for. The series is full of action, war, and sexy themes as they traverse the skies. Tana's worlds and characters are well-written and believable. If you love sci-fi with sexy aliens and hot romance, you will enjoy Tana's work.

**2.8/5 stars**

Juliette thought she was sneaking onto a ship to find her sister Sienna and her mate Corvak, but she totally ended up on the wrong one—stuck on a Vandar ship with the terrifying warlord known as the Deranged Raas, Vassim. Now she’s trapped on his warbird, surrounded by whispers about his insanity. He’s huge and menacing, but there’s also something about him that pulls her in, even as she tries to resist his control. To get a message to her sister, she’ll need to strike a deal with the Raas, who isn’t exactly known for being reasonable. Juliette has to decide if giving in to him is worth the chance to escape his grip.

“She must come to you willingly before the alignment of the two moons of Vandar, and she must take your marks.”

We get to know Juliette from the previous book, where she shines as a secondary character. She is sweet, enjoys baking, and is willing to embrace the traditional ways of her planet. Unfortunately, she struggles to attract the attention of the men around her, as she feels she lacks the beauty of her sister. With her curvier figure, she battles low self-esteem. So, when Raas Vassim shows interest in her, she finds herself feeling uncertain. While she can come off as a bit too wishy-washy for my taste, she ultimately proves to be a relatable heroine.

“The last thing I would wish for is immortality or regeneration. Not when I chase death with such determination.”-Vassim

As for Vassim, he was haunted by his past and the guilt of his Raas’s death at his hands. The endless nights without sleep drove him to converse with himself, earning him the ominous title of The Deranged Raas, instilling fear in most. Yet, this was merely a surface-level impression. And Juliette quickly starts to see other sides to him. When he began to suspect that Juliette could be the one from the prophecy, the one who can save him from his curse, he tried to charm her, though his attempts were clumsy at best. There was a certain charm in his awkwardness, but...

I really hoped the plot would focus more on the seduction, but it didn’t deliver. The love story felt a bit sudden, especially with Juliette. It was like they fell in love out of nowhere, and that made it feel off. They spent a lot of time apart—him busy with his ship duties and her just hanging out in his quarters. There were some intimate moments, but then he'd have to dash back to the command deck for rescues and raids. It made the connection feel rushed and left me wishing for more build-up.

A great end to a great series. For the most part, i really liked this final book and im sad to see this end. I did have a few issues with it but overall it was enjoyable. I wanted to break down my review for the characters first:
Vassim: He was pretty much a fusion of Kratos (his intense nature) and Kaalek (in terms of his past issues and trama) though a little more stoic than them which is understandable considering his issues. He is pretty much cursed to live the trauma of his former Raas dying in nightmares so he can't sleep and needs a cure to this. Overall his character was pretty good and he seemed like he was the most lenient and understanding Raas out of all of them except maybe Toraan. I did like his relationship with his majak Taan and Corvak a lot. With Taan it was entertaining banter and with Corvak I liked how he respected and even defended Corvak multiple times.

Juliette: I really didn't like her at first. She seemed really whiny, weak, and surprisingly very judgmental. For a person who didn't like being judged for her appearance, she was judging the Vandars a lot. The beginning was a lot of her just running with the rumors of the Vandar and complaining about how much Vassim wasnt like her fantasy match in her own head. It really didn't make her any more likable after her betrayal of her sister in the last book. However like most of these books, she did grow on me by the end and i did like her a lot more when she started being more caring, brave, and understanding.

Corvak & The Bounty Hunters: I really liked how much cameos Corvak and the bounty hunters hand. Its always great to see more of the Bounty Hunter crew and Corvak became really likable after his book (pretty much my favorite male lead in this series). I was glad to see more of him maturing and even more glad he joined Vassim at the end. It just felt more right that he became war chief again than a bounty hunter. He was just more passionate about doing that and it also has the added benefit of reuniting the sisters so even better. Plus glad he had a Rass who finally appreciated him, I didn't like him apologizing to Bron who was clearly wrong too but it just shows how much he has matured and become a great person.

Taan: I just had to mention Vassim's majak in this review. He was really entertaining with his conversations and lady killer ways. He was a character that was great for adding some comedy to this book at times. It made him a nice balance to Vassim being the playful comic relief to Vassims stoic attitude. If this ever has a spin-off continuation like the Drexian warriors, then I hope he gets his own book too.

Anyway, there were several more entertaining characters and this had even more world-building which was great. It is kind of difficult to make these final books have a proper romance cause the romance did feel a little rushed but i get it since its also wrapping up everything too. Im really sad this one is done and really hope we get more Vandar cameos too and even a spin-off hopefully.

Could a stowaway be the answer to the deranged warlord’s curse?

While this could probably be read as a stand-alone, I HIGHLY recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction, as there are reoccurring characters, consecutive timelines and overarching themes.

The latest in the Raider Warlords of the Vandar series and we finally get to learn more about the ‘deranged’ warlord, Vassim, we have heard referenced in previous stories. This is a guilty pleasure PNR that is a nice change of reading for me. Sometimes it is just nice to escape from reality. The plot, characters and world building are solid and dependable.

** If you have not read the previous stories in the series, the following will contain spoilers **

This story features Juliette, Sienna’s sister (heroine from the previous story), and Vassim, the deranged warlord that patrols the outer reaches of the galaxy. Juliette betrayed her sister, which caused Sienna to be kidnapped and almost raped by a rejected beau. Juliette can’t let her sister leave without her, so she decides to stowaway on the bounty hunters’ ship, that Corvak and Sienna joined.

Vassim and his horde of Vandar raiders responded to a request for assistance against the Zagrath (previous story). After they annihilate them, he returns to his ship and they make plans to vacate the planet. Unbeknownst to him or his crew, he has a visitor since Juliette stowed away on the wrong ship. Vassim finds out after they have docked with their warbird and jettisoned into space.

He is called the ‘deranged’ warlord because he was cursed years before when his Raas was killed and Vassim exacted revenge. Apparently his Raas’ killer was a warlock and cast a curse on Vassim with his dying breath. Every time Vassim falls asleep, he relives the battle and pain of losing his Raas. It is torture, so he does everything he can to stay awake, including walking the halls of the ship, delirious from lack of sleep.

A seer told him a long time ago that his curse could only be lifted by the entity that cast it, or it could be broken by a female that was pure and innocent. When Vassim first turned and spotted his unexpected guest, his first thought was she could be the one … too bad she only wants to go home or to reunite with her sister.

There are a few scenes that may be difficult for sensitive readers, so I have included some warnings below.

There are a couple of minor grammatical errors that I forwarded to Tana Stone and uploaded to Goodreads.com for anyone interested. These were mainly missing or incorrect word choices.

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, death, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, etc.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this impressive, action-packed Sci-Fi alien romance that has a bit of a mystical undertone & it is an excellent addition to the series. The world building is excellent with vivid scene descriptions & has an interesting, well-paced plot filled with intriguing unexpected situations. There are some very interesting (and sometimes unexpected) character crossovers but this book can be easily stand on its own (I would recommend reading the series to obtain the maximum joy of the underlying storyline). The characters are very likable with complex personalities & develop good chemistry between them. I found the actions of the Warlord (Vassim) quite sweet in the way he pursued the female character (Juliette) & he wasn’t ashamed to ask for help from his Majak (Taan) in his endeavors. There is good support from the secondary characters that play significant roles throughout the storyline.
It is about: a innocent but feisty female baker (Juliette) makes a decision to run away from her home planet (Kimithion III) & join her sister (Sienna) & her Vandar mate (Corvak) naturally things don’t go according to her plans when she discovers she is on a Vandar Warbird with a rather brutal but protective warlord (Vassim aka Deranged Raas Vandar)
There is: Vandar hordes & Warlords, a despicable Zagrath Empire, bounty hunters, various kinds of aliens, humans, mates, curses, seers, strange healing abilities, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, adventure, action, action, danger, threats, enemies, attacks, violence, conflict, nightmares, memories, emotional turmoil, discovery, prophecies, disagreements, defiance, strange attractions, advice, misunderstandings, determination, love, contentment, steamy scenes & an amazing epilogue with a well-deserved happy conclusion. I definitely would recommend this book (& the series) to people who enjoy reading this genre & to look forward to mare from this talented author

What a wonderful end to a fantastic series. 5🌟's I truly wish I could have a Vandar warrior all my own💖💞💖💞💖

I loved Vassim and Juliette 's story💖 !! Juliette is Sienna's sister from the last book she stows away on what she believes is the bounty hunters ship so she can apologise to her sister and tell her she didn't mean to interfere with her relationship with Corvak. Unfortunately, she actually stows away on Rass Vassim's the so called deranged Rass's ship and her life changes forever. She goes from naive girl to a woman who knows what she wants. She learns not everything is what it seems on the outside and that she needs to look deep with in to find a treasure worth saving. Vassim has been cursed he can never truly no a restful sleep until he breaks the curse placed upon him in a battle that made him a Rass. He takes one look at Juliette and feels the connection and hopes that she is the one. When he realizes who she's is he decides to keep her and makes a deal with Juliette . Help me break the curse and I'll bring you back to your sister. While on this adventure they both look into the heart of the other and realize appearances are deceptive. Courage and passion come from the heart and love it it's truly real does conquer all! This series is one of the best I've read in the sci fi romance genre. I loved it so much I bought my own personal copy of each book so I can re read them when ever I want . I highly recommend this series for anyone looking the best action, adventure, passionate love stories around you won't be sorry!💖💞💖💞💖. I'm gong to miss my big bad sexy Vandar warriors and the sassy human women they love, but I'm looking forward to whatever Tans Stone comes out with next💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💖💞💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖💞💖

I knew I was going to love this story ever since I read the epilogue of the previous book!

Juliette is shy, sheltered and innocent in every way. But she shows such feistiness and passion when dealing with the Deranged Raas. And she has a lot to make up for after everything she did in the previous story.

Raas Vassim is just amazing. I absolutely loved him. He’s strong, dominant, sexy, brutal, smart and protective. He’s plagued by nightmares and all the suffering he went through broke my heart. But he’s also so sweet when giving Furb to Juliette and I had such fun reading the times he got advice from his majak.

I loved their relationship - it was sweet, romantic, hot and steamy. I loved the twists and turns, the denial and surrender. Their chemistry was absolutely undeniable and they both deserved peace, love and HEA.

I really enjoyed the storyline - the battles with the Empire were epic and it was so great to return to planet Calgoria Prime and meet again so many characters from the previous stories and the bounty hunters.

Overall, the story is a fabulous read, filled with action, danger, suspense, curses, drama, redemption, steam and wonderful characters.

I was thoroughly captivated from start to finish!

I received an ARC and am happily leaving a review.

I love a good sci-fi romance but haven’t read one in a while. Tana Stone is a new author to me, but the blurb and cover looked amazing. I was not disappointed and will be buying the rest of the series immediately! I love the whole vibe of the Vandar’s. They are honorable, strong, and trustworthy. Raas Vassim, aka the Deranged Raas Vandar, meets Juliette when she stows away on his ship. She was looking for her sister but accidentally boards Raas’ ship instead of her sister's mates ship. Raas is a complete contradiction. He’s a huge alpha warrior bad-a. Dominant and brutal, yet he’s a softy with a huge heart. He’s protective and loyal. He goes out of his way to woo Juliette. Raas begins wooing her to break his unfortunate curse. It’s not long before he realizes just how special to him this feisty and innocent golden-haired beauty really is. Their relationship is sweet, romantic, and super hot. This book has everything: steamy scenes, angst, sexy alpha aliens, bounty hunters, mates, seers, curses, adventure, suspense, drama, wonderful characters, a well-developed sci-fi world, and loads of action. I loved every moment of it! I highly recommend this book and look forward to continuing with the series! Thank you to Give Me Books Promotions for gifting me this book in exchange for an honest review.

From accidental stowaway to love

I loved Juliette and Vassim fish out of water, virgin, opposites attract romance with a side of insanity producing curse. The contrast between these two characters - light/dark, sweet/grumpy, innocent/worldly - was delicious perfection. I love this series. Juliette is a human who lived on a pre warp planet. Juliette needs to make amends to her sister, Sienna, before Sienna left the planet with her new mate, a Vandar warrior. She chooses to sneak on what she believes is the ship her sister is on. Unfortunately, she snuck on a Vandar warbird instead. The Raas of that ship is Vassim known as the deranged Raas. He is not deranged but under a curse he sustained in a past battle that does not allow him to sleep and forces him to relive a devastating battle every time he attempts it. The only way to break the curse is through a woman whose description exactly matches Juliette. Going from an accidental stowaway to the true mate of a Vandar Raas is an interesting journey that was fun to witness. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. It included sweet moments, steamy scenes, fighting, dangerous situations, alien physiology and cultures, evil overlords, loyal friends, painful pasts, drama, snark, plot twists, secrets, and laughs. As an added bonus, characters from previous books made appearances.

Provoked is Tana Stone’s sixth book in the Raider Warlords of the Vandar Series. The “deranged” Raas Vassim is plagued by haunting dreams of war, so he walks the ship at night and/or uses torture devices to keep awake, thus further exacerbating his problems as the body needs sleep to stay healthy. His suffering has earned him the reputation of being mad or unhinged because none of the aliens understand PTSD, but Vassim clearly has this problem. Enter a stowaway by the name of Juliette, an innocent in every way imaginable. It has been prophesied by a witch that only a golden-haired innocent, a most unlikely find in the far reaches of space, could save Vassim from his imminent craziness. Juliette and Vassim embark on a “friend” relationship to help cure him, but it develops into something more profound because they are drawn to each other as mates usually are. The story is also interesting in that with all of Vassim’s “experience” concerning the opposite sex, he is relatively an innocent character himself. I liked him, especially when he gets relationship advice from his majak. He wasn’t too proud or “manly” to seek help because he cared for Juliette even before he knew he cared. Thumbs up for Juliette and Vassim’s story! The book is a good addition to the series if readers like seeing true love develop between two characters.

I just love Tana Stone’s sci-fi stories! I love how they’re all interconnected and you can see previous characters pop up in the books. Provoked starts where Punished leaves off. Vassim responds to the distress call sent out by Kimithion III and goes to expel the foreign invaders. What Vassim doesn’t realize is that he leaves the planet with an unexpected stow away who boards the wrong ship looking for her sister. While Juliette is horrified and frightened, Vassim is transfixed by her long blond hair. A seer told Vassim that he would meet someone with long blond hair that might be able to break his curse and let him heal. It was nice to see Juliette come out of her shell and become the bold woman she never knew she could be. Tana Stone’s books all follow a similar pattern, but that’s what we love!! The alien that doesn’t see the the interest of female humans, then meets a female human that he can’t resist. The heroine that is oddly fascinated by the tailed alien and then fall in love with him. Different circumstance and different characters/personalities, but similar. That’s all good though, cause this is what we want and expect in our insta-love alien romances ❤️ Great conclusion to the series!!

Vassim I love that he eats his words about female mates. We start with Vassim supporting Corvak request & keep his promise to his mate Sienna. Read Punished before you read this one so you will understand what's going on. Especially saving Kimithion III from the cruel Empire.

Juliette who is on a mission to apologies to her sister. Her sister Sienna is mated with Corvak. Then she meets Vassim well fainted into his life...I love their first meeting 'meet cute' but space style 🌌

Now Vassim has something else to beat a curse placed on him during battle....no more spoilers. He goes to a witch and asks a question "Hoon vak denini?" Which translate too....Well you have to read this book and see. I love that Tana has created her own language and you get the translation with it.

We meet a new alien species Neebix and he called Baru. I want him to have a story especially when Vassim rescued him which, showed Juliette he is a fair & brilliant warlord. Please Tana give him a story he is adorable 🥰

My favourite part is the ending. Juliette has finally found a family with Vassim & his Horde sand her sister Siennna & Corvak

☆MUST READ & FAV☆
I really love the twist of the curse in this story line

My favorite in the series

A Raas living in self-imposed exile, facing madness due to a curse that only can be broken by one thing, according to a witch's prophecy. Vaccim longs for rest or death, but the possible answer to his curse has stowed away on his ship... an innocent human female, who is soft and nothing like a Vandar Warrior. Juliette thought she was stowing away on the bounty hunter ship... thought she'd be able to apologize to Sienna for her foolish betrayal of her sister to a man she didn't realize was an enemy... but she cannot apologize until she can find her sister... if she ever does, again.

Easy and quick read. Book 6 pays off richly now that so much groundwork has been laid down. I find the small additions to the larger story are the icing on the cake... a young alien boy, saved from sex trade... an exotic pet (who I somehow expect to be important somewhere down the line)... breads and pastries... tailors... an assortment of bounty hunters... tunnels below villages... dart games that young boys play... you never know what to expect next, and that makes for very enjoyable reading.

This was always going to be a hard sell of a redemption book for me. Cos Juliette, man she really grated on me in the last book. She basically offered up her sister on a plate to that odious toad! Thankfully she does redeem herself!

Vassim may be known as the Deranged but that's all just a smokescreen. His nightmares are a curse, he relives the worst moment of his life over and over again. So his solution - just don't sleep! But when he finds Juliette has snuck on board he has to rein back his natural instinct to airlock her and realises she may be the solution to his curse.

Juliette just wanted to say goodbye to her sister. Sneaking on board the Bounty Hunter's ship seemed a good way to ambush her into accepting the apology. Pity, she snuck on the wrong ship! But can she offer herself up as his cursebreaker?

Magic, Prophecy and a grumpy, sleep-deprived hero. What a great story. Just switch off your brain and go with the flow. We even get to meet the plucky Carlogians again. Gret conclusion to the series, although I'm going to miss those "tails" of theirs, LOL.

Loved this book and am sad the series is finished. The sci-fi books by this author are my favorite. The characters are relatable, strong and drool worthy. The stories are funny, heartwarming and have depth.

Juliette is Sienna's timid little sister from the previous book. She sneaks into what she thinks is the bounty hunter ship but is actually the Vandar warbird of Raas Vassim, known as the deranged Raas. When he sees her golden hair and perceives her innocence he thinks she may be the woman the witch foresaw as the person to end his curse. He takes her to the witch and finds out he has to get her to call in love with him in order for the curse to be broken. He eventually seduces her but before he can find out how she feels about him they are embroiled in a battle with the imperial soldiers and he is taken prisoner. He is freed by their Vandar and bounty hunter friends and he sees her mating marks. He decides to offer her sister and her mate places on the warbird so the sisters can be together. They all get their HEA and babies.

This was another Outstanding book by Tana Stone, I Loved every minute of it. Tana Stone has become my favorite author. Provoked is action packed, engaging, sexy, fun filled alien sci fy romance novel that kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed Rass Vassim and Juliette's story. She thought she was stowing away on her sisters bounty hunter ship but instead she's on the deranged warlords ship the Rass Vassim. The chemistry between the two was amazing, it was sweet, hot and steamy and romantic. I loved their interactions with the twists and turns through out the story they went well together and were meant to be. I also loved how we get to see past characters from past stories and other series. Tana is able to weave the other characters together so we get updated on their lives. It is a very well put together story that you will love. I can't stop reading these books, my only wish would be for Tana to write faster so I could read them all the time.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely adored reading this book. Talk about action, adventure and the heat between Vaasim and Juliette was off the charts. Vaasim had such a reputation among the Vandar raiders as the Deranged Raas, but he was cursed to watch his old Raas fall, over and over every night and feel the pains of battle and exhaustion too. But he was told by a seer that he can break the curse by finding “A female with hair like the sun and a heart and body as pure as gold.”

And this is where the action starts. There is action from start to finish between the Vandar Raiders and the Empire. The Empire are slowly being eradicated from the planets that they have taken over and the Vandar raiders are joined by many revolutionary forces who are tired of the Tyranny by the Empire. There is a happily ever after between Vaasim and his mate Juliette.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.

Juliette snuck onto the wrong spaceship that was about to leave her home planet and finds herself on the Vandar warbird under the control of Raas Vassim who is known as one who is deranged due to a curse laid on him. When she is discovered she demands to be returned home but he refuses to let her go. Refusing to submit to any feeling for him that she might have she plots to message her sister for help. The problem is that she fears his darkness but she also finds that he stokes a fire deep within her. Can she pay the price he wants for messaging her sister?

I loved this book which had two equally stubborn people submitting to lust which turns into love as they battle his demons as well as the enemy. I loved sassy Juliette who was very pure and nieve to start with but also had an inbuilt fierceness that you couldn't help but respect. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content. I'm so very sad this is the last book in the series.

Now I didn’t know how I was going to feel about this book, because when we left Juliette she had betrayed her sister( you have to read Punished to get that back story 🤣). But Juliette was portrayed as a weak sheltered woman who needed someone’s help to protect her. That’s not normally how I like my heroines, BUTTTT she proved everyone wrong! This shy baker is a beautiful blessing.
Vassim is the deranged Raas that patrols the far side of space that no one ever travels. He comes to help out when a distress signal is sent and he finds a fight but also HIS savior.

I’m not sure if this book is the last of the series but I cried at the end 🤣. It was good to see some of the old characters again! Especially the Carlogians I love Fenrey and his clothes ❗️If this is the end it certainly was wonderful.

4 1/2 stars This story is about Juliette who betrayed her sister in the previous book "Punished" and Raas Vassim who patrols the rarely traveled territories of space and is tormented by nightmares, thus is known as the Derange Warlord. Raas Vassim was one of the bounty hunters who answered a call for help from the planet Kimithion III and after saving the planet is leaving when he finds Juliette who mistakenly snuck on board his starship hoping to be reunited with her sister, Sienna. Vassim was fortold of a prophecy from a witch that a female with hair like the sun and a heart and body as pure as gold will cure his nightmares. Is Juliette the one prophesied? Meanwhile Vassim orders Taan to take her to his quarters and as Juliette waits she wonders how to get out of the situation she's in. What happens next is a enjoyable engaging story that I volunteer to read and review.

Good series but good time to end it

I really liked the whole series in general but this book kind of felt rushed and the actions that Juliette (FMC) made when she was “betrayed” and angry was just flat out annoying. It felt more like “lets throw in a fight to have a storyline” instead of genuine misunderstanding between both main characters. Even while they are in middle of firing lasers and her hero is carrying her to safety, the “betrayal” is still upfront in her mind and she takes him to task...IN MIDDLE OF FIRING LASERS! Juliette, sometimes your immediate circumstances are more important than your misplaced feelings. I started skimming through at about 60% and did not feel like I missed anything.
Not every character can be made equal but after 5 books, the storyline becomes a bit repetitive and lackluster.

Final exciting book in the series

Ooo, Julliette is in trouble. She snuck aboard a Vandar ship by accident. She was actually trying to board the Bounter Hunter's ship. But now that Raas Vassim has her on board he can't let her go, at least not until je finds out if she is the one that was forseen to break his curse.
Juliette only wants to see her sister, she doesn't want to be stuck on a raider ship for the rest of her life. So she makes a deal with the Raas.
Find out what the deal is when you read this amazing book. It has growly, sexy,, alpha men, cute animals, and an adorable "adopted" boy on this ship.
We also get to see members of other hoarde ships that we read about in earlier stories as well as the Dothveks and Bounty Hunters.
This is the end of the series but hopefully a spinoff is in our future!
