Focused by Karla Sorensen is everything you love about second chances.
A story with depth. A emotional journey of finding out there’s more than just football. There’s more out there as long as you find someone you want to feel and experience those exact things with.
We watch as these two have their second chance. What happened as teens was just a building block for what happens when these two are reunited. These two fight it but you can only fight fate for so long. And what a beautiful ride Sorensen takes us on.
Book 2
I finished this book this morning and I still can’t get this beautiful story out of my mind. Sorensen has upped her game with this book. She takes us on a journey of two people who never thought they needed each other.
These two meet and the sparks fly. Bauer and Claire story will have you flipping the pages so fast. But you’ll slow down because you won’t want this story to end. I know for a fact that I didn’t want it to.
These characters are so much deeper than any other of her characters. We really get to watch them each bloom. Claire just wants to be herself, not her last name. And when she is needed the most her natural beauty and mind are a thing of beauty. And Bauer is so sweet even under his bad boy persona. We follow as these two fall in love and what a beautiful journey Sorensen takes us on.
Book 3
Floored will leave you breathless. Sorensen has written one of the swooniest Hero’s.
A surprise pregnancy that neither character was ready for. Lia Ward sister of the famous Logan Ward, knows what it’s like to be around talented athletes. So when a surprise happens she wonders how things will go. Jude McAllister footballer, is one of those characters that you can’t help but fall for. They way he was with Lia at times made my heart turn to mush. They way they were together was sweet, watching them fall was so beautiful. The sexual tension between these two is clean off the charts !! Wowza!!
A story that checks off all my boxes in a romance. I’d honestly give this book another star or two if I could.
Karla Sorensen continues to give us romance in the best way. Hero’s we swoon for....and kick butt heroines we root for the entire book. Lia and Jude are two of my new favorite characters!!
I’ve loved this series from the start and they just keep getting better and better.
Book 4
Karla Sorensen is a master story teller. Her words will bring you to your knees. Forbidden does just that and more. Emotional from the very start. A slow burn that will have your heart in knots.
Isabel Ward locked her emotions in tight. She doesn’t let anything come close to her walls she’s built up. Until fate has other plans for her. When someone buys the gym she works for, she never thought it would be her teenager crush. Aiden Hennessy.
Aiden is trying to move on with his life after losing his wife to cancer. Buying the gym was one way to start over again. But he wasn’t ready for his manager to make him think of other things.
We follow along as these two work together. Isabel and Aiden give off so much tension that it’s felt within the words. Your heart will beat wildly every time these two interact. And throw in a cute adorable seven year old and you’ve got a PHENOMENAL love story.
I couldn’t put this book down. I stayed up way too late to finish this because I had to get to these characters happily ever after. And what an ending! Absolutely perfect!!
Highly recommended. Sorensen continues to be an automatic one-click author for me. Her talent just keeps growing. I’m a forever fan!
I found Karla's books with Molly's book first but then stopped and read the previous series and reading Paige and Logan's book I knew I loved those four girls. Then I waited as each book was released to read their stories and HEA. I loved them all and was sad that I would never get to read them for the first time again. Now that Karla released this set with bonus epilogues for each couple I knew I needed to have it. I'm so glad I bought them because it gave me a glimpse of what the girls were doing after their HEA with their amazing husband's. I hope later down the road we will get stories from their children because I love this family so much.
I absolutely loved this series - I don’t think I could choose a favorite sister since they all had something I loved about them. Each story made me smile and I couldn’t wait to dive into the next one. Though the characters come from another book (The Marriage Effect; which is the story of the sisters’ brother, Logan) it is not necessary to read in order. The author does a great job tying everything together and giving background information so the reader doesn’t feel lost or miss anything that would effect the story.
I have read and savored each of these books (and the entire Washington Wolves world), and the second Karla announced this box set and the bonus content, I sprinted to Amazon and bought it. Being back with these characters made my heart so incredibly happy. 5 stars, always.
I just absolutely love the Ward Sisters! Each of these four books feature the amazingness of each Ward Sister as we read their HEAs. Molly, Claire, Lia, then Isabel find their HEAs and as Logan would say with their athlete magnet. If your new to the Ward family, start with Logan’s story, The Marriage Effect, but you will still love this box set of you are new to the Ward family.
This series is one of my favorites. When I read it has an additional bonus epilogue for each sister, I had to read them. These epilogues were a great addition. I always want more specially from Claire and Bauer.
Amazing!!! I loved all these stories about the Ward Sisters finding love! My heart broke for all of them in some way but was slowly put back together. What an amazing family they have! Loved this anthology! Thank you for putting it together!
OMG, what a fantastic anthology of the Ward sisters and their Big Brother! They are a fantastic family. This book tugs at all your heartstrings and gives you all the feels. Highly recommend this book!
This series is so good. All four sisters have issues regarding abandonment and their struggle to find and keep happiness is a compelling read. And, their men? Whew!
A pesar de que algunas cosas, me gustó el estilo de escritura y cómo la autora utilizó ciertos recursos como apoyo de los protagonistas para ayudar a contar sus historias.
I love these sisters. Each book brings something a little different (different troupes). You still get the great family interactions that the other Washington Wolves books had. I have to say I love all the sisters, but my favorites are Molly and Claire's stories mostly due to the troupes used in each of those.
SPOILERS: FYI the last sister's story does have a surprise pregnancy troupe - which is not really my cup of tea. I did still really like the character development in the last story for the MMC and FMC.
